Once again I would like to thank the person who cast Nakamura Yuuichi as Lancelot & Sugita Tomokazu as Mordred.
Can't believe this is Sugita's Reading High debut!
As you can guess from the characters they play, it's a reimagining of the Arthurian legend, playing fast and loose with the events and timeline.
This is the 12th Reading High performance and the production value keeps going up year on year! The lighting design (with those little balls of light that goes up and down that reminds me of Changi Airport's kinetic rain sculpture) and the pyrotechnics! The orchestra on stage with the rest of the cast! The costume design is gorgeous!
I had been looking forward to this and was hoping and praying we'll get proper subtitles like Young Wizards but maybe not so soon I guess. After all, this was live streamed on 12 May and they trimmed the video and added the cast comments afterwards on 15 May.
istg if they release the live stream with eng subs months down the line...... (who am I kidding... i'll still watch it again lmfao)
.

I feel like since the Dawn of Time, I have read fans say that JYB was intentionally cast as both the protagonist and Adachi in the English version of P4 because of them being foils. Is there a source or something where a person involved in the recording says this is why he was casted as both roles?
Cause otherwise, based on how English voice acting works, I would assume this is actually related to cost... When you book a voice actor for [x] hours, then you make them fill in as many roles as you can get away with for those [x] hours to get your money's worth. The protagonist doesn't talk outside of battle lines while Adachi talks mostly in events (and even then, he doesn't appear very much until the end), so there's not much overlap.
I realized now that as All for one gets younger his voice should change along with it, so probably in the anime he will have a different voice actor when he is young, but I confess that it would be funny if Akio Ōtsuka voiced Baby AFO 😂
I wish they would keep his regular voice because that would be hilarious seeing pre-teen afo with that deep voice 😂
but yeah it's most likely they're going to have younger voice actors play him as he rewinds, I don't mind too much because I'm interested to hear how they would cast a younger afo.
i do think the voice change was a bit too soon, probably should've happened when he got a little younger. i think at that age he'd still have his full grown voice, not a teenagery one
