Semi Update

//for those who didn’t know a few months ago, I was planning on leaving tumblr.

Well, I keep on meeting interesting peeps along the way which I’m interested in writing with someday. So, I came to a small conclusion.

I will stay here, but my status on Discord will be far more frequently than here. I do ask around old and new peeps if they have a Discord account in order to take our business over there instead.

Plus, I find it easier to keep control of threading and interacting. My messages easily get swallowed up or drowned under an ocean of replies.

Not a serious update but something to say

//Hello peeps, I do hope that 2023 has been nicer to you so far and that nothing bad will ever occur in your lives. As of summer, my life has changed for the best, where I now work in a toy store and am now prioritising my time on both work and all of the comic cons.

Therefore, my time here has been rather low, even less so than last year.

To those who I owe replies towards and also asked to roleplay, you haven’t been forgotten, but I need to get this off my chest.

By January 2024, I may be leaving tumblr, but at least keeping my account as well. The thing is, I’m tired and I don’t have the same energy as I once had all the way back then, even before when the pandemic started. After when I accepted job offers, I finally understood the word “hiatus” and have been taking one too many of them without any announcements.

That’s on me, I’m afraid to say.

Another fact is that the site does bring back a few bad memories when I bump into users that I once interacted with. I will not be deleting my account but might place an “-archive” at the end of my username.

However, this will not be goodbye. I’m not sure if I ever mentioned this but I’m mainly on discord and have my own roleplaying servers there. Plus, that platform is what I mainly use, more so than Facebook, Twitter, deviantart and this very one, especially.

Anybody who is interested in chatting to me on discord, my PM’s are open.

It’s been quite a run, a Dede-decade, actually. But, the crown will be lowered down in due time. I wish you all a merry Christmas and the happiest of holidays!//

Anyone knows I commission art with my boi nowadays?

Aced by @mexfan12art who a super awesome and worth a comish, this is an art piece of my H!DDD being thanked by who else but Ness’ mother for protecting her son during Smash Bros. Brawl’s Subspace. To thank him, she rewards him with a giant cake that’s a complete replica of his own castle and a permanent invite to her house.

I mean, really? Did DDD ever get thanked for kinds being the secret hero of Subspace? Without his brooches, Ness and Luigi wouldn’t have been activated and then go from there to save the world. It really goes to show that even the man child majesty has better planning than anyone else.

So, I wanted to do a little homage to at least someone thanking him.

Plus, it’s based on this heartwarming scene from Amphibia; biological family thanking found family/surrogate friends for keeping their offspring safe.

//As of today and until 12am, it is currently my birthday where the rest of the day would consist of golfing tryouts, musical galore and a special steak dinner at a nearby crocodile sanctuary/restaurant.

6. what are you top five universes to RP within?

//This is a really interesting question alone, because I can answer that with all of the Nintendo franchises since a number of them appeared in Smash Bros.; from there, DDD basically acknowledges the bunch. Therefore, I love to interact with any muse from Nintendo franchises such as The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Earthbound, Metroid and many more.

However, to list only five of the non-Nintendo universes, where I’ll also throw in a few animated shows:

- Sonic the Hedgehog

- Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts

- Crash Bandicoot

- The Owl House

- Over the Garden Wall//

7. what universe have you never even considered writing in, and why?

//Pretty much any of the television shows since that requires some extra catching up and I really don’t have time for that. Kirby had an anime series but I’ll never accept that as canon//

18. how did you come across the roleplay community?

//This is dating back from ten years ago, but I recall wanting to jump on the “roleplaying bandwagon” and find which character should I actually write as. Somehow, I ended up with King Dedede and decided that he is very befitting//

23. what skills have you gained by roleplaying?

//Basically, writing. I was awful when I first started and mainly used one-liners and very ooc comments from the King. Sometimes, I look up some of my old threads and reflect on my rather dated style of writing since it made me improve my writing. This is something I had to learn as nobody is expected to be perfect upon the very first time. Thankfully, the years spent here and the constructive criticism I received made me improve my very wiring style and result in the writer I am today//

It's my 10 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳

//Folks, I never knew how far I’ve gone, especially when this came as an unexpected surprise. Yes, I do recall starting back in 2013, mainly because of the hype of writing as your favourite fictional character from any media, but I wasn’t expecting that my blog was started exactly a decade from this very day! I literally can’t even express on how incredibly surprised, yer satisfied, I feel at the moment.

This was a rollercoaster of events, starting off quite innocently, enjoying new experiences, pushing through any downfalls and resulting in a blog that I never thought I’d hold onto. There were times where I wanted to leave after some disagreements with people who I thought were my friends, but I’ve had a lot of fun and various amazing people (some I still do interact with to this day) that kept me going.

Plus, I love establishing new ties. Recently, I’ve began several new conversations with people who I would love to roleplay with, plus some artists to commission artwork from.

Thank you to all my followers and I hope to make another post ten more years into the future!//

Luigi’s Mansion 4: Dark Zero-Boo

A summary of my envisioned fourth DLC instalment of the Luigi’s Mansion franchise. After successfully finishing construction on the hotel, Luigi decided to invite some close friends over. Though hesitant due to the abundance of ghosts, the King’s mind was changed immediately after hearing of a royal suite. Upon arrival, it turned out that there was yet another paranormal invasion, though not by the same Boo all over again. Instead, a completely new threat began his arrival impact, haunting the very area.

To make matters worse, the invader happened to be more capable at doing the villain’s job by already trapping the hotel’s owner, Luigi! It may have been a permanent Game Over for the poor plumber, if it wasn’t for the power of friendship! A tiny army of avengers consisting of Luigi’s friend from Smash Bros., his royal girlfriend and poltergeist pet are on the elevator to victory… maybe, not literally…

King Dedede, Luigi, Daisy and Polterpup are all property of Nintendo, though the human form is my own interpretation.

As for the shadowy threat, he is a combination of King Boo from Luigi’s Mansion and the Super Mario series, and Zero2 from the Kirby series, both belonging to Nintendo also.

//From all of the times his body was used as a shell for the Dark Matter entities, he’s been suffering from severe flashbacks detailing those experiences. As results, he does struggle with thunderstorms as they remind him of said Dark Matter and even from mentions of dark-natured creatures with single eyes.

How he deals with the stress is incredibly unpredictable. Sometimes, he will be suffering from panicking either verbally or physically, destroying anything in his sight, or making an immediate getaway from the location. Who knows what can happen but all that the residents do acknowledge is that it was never his choice in the matter and those actions don’t reflect on himself as an individual.//

what’s your favorite trope?

//I have a number of favourite standard tropes, namely slice-of-life and hurt/comfort ones where Character A gets into trouble but there’s someone out there who will listen to their reason of sadness.

There’s also meeting in a randomised location, namely the tavern, where Character A meets the other taking the load off after their busy time, since all people with jobs or high authorities need breaks half the time.

I also have a soft spot for found family. It goes without saying 🤩

And also the ‘small town’ trope, involving Dedede’s kingdom and the residents within since they all have that connection between them and help each-other along the way.//

Do you rp dedede as a kid?

//Lol! Not really, he may look young in the avatar, but that’s not an actual size! If you look closely, his height is the same around his previous form as they’re both standing on a box.

But, yeah. He is a pudgy lil’ King but is no way a child. He’s older than he seems, but that doesn’t mean he would ever stop being a ‘kid at heart’.

Or if you mean that I would roleplay the King as a kid, I would probably find some sort of verse; playing as the spoilt but adorable prince might have some potential//

//Honestly, everything he liked in general gives him that much entertainment and enjoyment. Ranging from boxing to partaking in the Gourmet Races, or even meeting up with his friends back in Smash Bros. Even a spar with Kirby, despite his losses, give him a reason to go back to the training room and do one of his favourite activities via working out his muscles and such.

He mainly loves doing anything mission-related during Kirby’s adventures as long as he’s able to give a helping hand at the end of the day.//

Dedede devotes himself to activities more than jobs, as he had no other need to gain money. “Talk about being born with a silver spoon in your mouth”. Boxing, sumo-wrestling, samurai training, eating his mouth off in the Gourmet Race, racing his Wheelie Bike during the Air Rides and countless more!

He’s more the type to have fun and do all of these fads rather than work in the ‘blue-collar’ environment. At least he’s loaded, until he may unintentionally cause some revolution. Who knows?//
