I had a beatles arc like 2 years ago that is still baffling to this day I had no interest in them. They're not my kind of music at all. And then something happened like a switch flipped where I was literally obsessed with them. So intensely hyperfixated. It was all I would talk about. All I would draw. And then like after 3 months it abruptly and very suddenly stopped and I haven't thought about or listened to them since with the exception of Revolution 9 still being pretty cool.

I'm not sure why I'm telling you this I think I feel a kinship with your non-standard beatles arc of disconnect.

#i first started listening to them because i was like well. Icant just not listen to them. Especially with the music i listen to #and the fact that a lot of my fav bands have been influenced by them #and like for a while it was a completely platonic appreciation. Ididnt care to learn the lore or differentiate their singing voices #but its still so WEIRD. listening to like the most famous band ever #stuff that your parents and probably grandparents also listened to #i cant really view them as real people. Theyre just so overexposed #THEYRE EVERYWHERE! YOU CANT ESCAPE THEM!#so much influence on other bands. so much acclaim. So much merchandise with their likeness. ITS WEIRD #And just listening to them with this knowledge and the fact that theyve been in the bg of my entire life isjust really surreal #did i explain myself well. IDK #theyre just untouchable #overexposed and untouchable and unreal #so like actively getting into them has been an odd experience for me #symb replies
