Reader's GF (you decide!) sometimes hints towards having sex. He often responds with "Oh, I couldn't do something like that to you," or "It's OK, you don't have to do that for me." He had been fed the impression that sex is a harmful, painful chore that was only enjoyable to men, which women only did out of obligation. It takes a long time for him to be convinced that she really wants him for his body too.

I could go on a full ass rant about this and how much I appreciate this ask, but I will save y’all the pain.

Angela leans up against the bedroom doorway, gazing sadly at her boyfriend. It has been a year since she first hinted at having sex. It was driving her crazy, she hated how he was convinced that women hated sex. It simply wasn’t true.

“Baby, can we talk...?” She murmurs, slowly walking over to the bed and curling up next to her boyfriend. Taking a moment to collect her thoughts, she kisses his cheek.

“Is this about the sex thing?” He asks, his eyebrows knitting together in worry. “Please, I won’t make you do that. I love you, you don’t need to be unhappy just for me!”

Angela pushes her finger against his lips, silencing him. She looks into his eyes, her own filled with frustration and sadness.

“Just listen to me. Please.” She pauses, slowly taking her finger off of his lips. He opens his mouth, but Angela glares at him, effectively shutting him up.

“Hun, sex isn’t just to pleasure guys. It is a thing of intimacy. Couples everywhere will have sex, because they love each other.” Her boyfriend sits their quietly, listening as he looks down at the sheets. “There are many women who love sex, and it feels good. Think of lesbian couples. If sex was just to pleasure men, why do they pleasure each other? Just for kicks? No, they do it because they love each other.”

“But, there are so many women who don’t like sex, they talk about how it is awful, and scars them!” He protests, looking so worried for her.

“Some women don’t like sex, and that’s okay. That’s why there is a thing called consent.” She explains, lacing her fingers through his, holding his hand against her cheek. “When a women says she is okay with having sex, she is saying that she is giving permission to her partner. If she doesn’t want to, then her partner has to respect her wishes. They same goes with men. If they don’t want to have sex, their partner should not force themselves onto them. That’s why I haven’t forced you to have sex with me. No matter how much I want it, I won’t make you. Even though it would make me so happy, and bring me pleasure, your decision to not have sex is important.”

Her boyfriend purses his lips, glancing over at Angela. “But I don’t know if you are just saying you want to have sex just to please me...”

Angela smiles, kissing the back of his hand. “If I wanted to have your child, would you have sex with me then? Or would you still hold back, because you are worried you will be taking advantage of me? Baby, I want this. I wouldn’t say so if I didn’t mean it.” Angela’s eyes are pleading.

- It took a while for him to trust you, but when he did he found he wouldn’t regret it.

- It all started when he got in an argument with his brother.

- You hadn’t previously spoken with Genji, save for a few heys and mission debriefs, but you had developed a small crush on him.

- He was aware, but chose not to act on it.

- When he and his brother were arguing, weapons nearly at each other’s throats you jumped between them and started telling Hanzo off.

- What surprised Genji wasn’t that you scolded Hanzo, but that you scolded him too.

- It was definitely a shock being told that he was “childish and petty,” for even engaging in such an argument.

- Flustered, he and his brother began apologizing.

- After that, Genji took an interest in you.

- He loved the way you lost yourself when listening to music you like.

- And your love for science.

- One time he let you explain to him the complete mechanics of his suit and all it’s features, watching how your eyes lit up and you spoke animatedly about all it’s parts.

- He already knew all about his suit, and really just liked watching how excited you got when he asked.

-She would immediately look up everything she could for first dates

-Normally she is calm and collected, but she only knew emotions as chemical reactions, and didn’t experience them as strongly as she was right now

-It is slightly worrying

-After looking up and studying a lot of webpages and books, she decides to take you to a cafe

-Moira finds your apartment, dressed in a white collared dress shirt, dark purple tie, black dress pants, and deep purple leather shoes

-A bit fancy for a cafe date, but you didn’t mind

-You were ready in a nice, yet casual outfit

-You were ready because your security camera detected movement outside your door

-Moira stood there for a solid ten minutes, just pacing

-She then stepped up to the door, hand raised to knock

-And she just stood there for another five minutes before noticing the camera

-Her face flushed red, and she finally knocked

-You were finishing up final touches on your outfit, and then came to the door with a soft smile

-Moira just stared at you for a minute, amzed at how good you looked

-Your cute laugh brought her back to reality and she scratched the back of her neck in embarrassment

-You had never seen her like this before

-Bowing slightly, Moira offered her hand to you, officially asking you to join her for coffee

Alright luv, so I *almost* put you with Hanzo,,, then Mei,, but now I really think you’d go great with Widowmaker ( Amélie Lacroix ) !

-She loves bringing up your very obvious height difference, even in casual conversation. She loves teasing you about how short you are.

-You often leave your glasses on the top of your head and forget they’re there, then presume to search all over the apartment looking for them!

-She finds this just so cute!

-It takes every fiber in her body to cover her giggle as she watches. She loves seeing your dumbfounded look when you realize they’re on your head.

-Amélie doesn’t really understand the hype about dogs, but she gives in as soon as you ask for one.

-She’ll never admit, but she loves that dog almost as much as she loves you.

-A mutual love for art? Can you say MUSEUM DATES? A new museum every Sunday.

-On late nights when you can’t sleep, she’ll often read to you- but only French books. That’s her rule.

-Sometimes she’s distant. It goes unsaid, but you know it’s because she feels like she doesn’t deserve you. As if she can’t fully love you the way she should because of her conditioning. Like she doesn’t have the heart to do so.

-There isn’t much you can do but give her space, and reassure her that you’re happy with her.

-She doesn’t hate your little plants, but she definitely doesn’t like the hassle of taking care of them.

-But she never forgets to water one because she knows just how much they mean to you.

-Late Saturday nights, you’ll find yourselves laying in bed watching horror movies, or crime shows until 3 or 4 in the morning. Time often slips by so quickly you don’t even realize it, and end up falling asleep with the TV on.

-She calls you so many names.

-She’s not the best with words, but you know she loves you, just as much as you love her and if not- maybe even more.
