I watched SOTUS in January and didn't feel like watching the sequel then, so here we are now.

Watched the Special Episode which is just a behind-the-scenes beforehand for fun, to kinda immerse myself into the story again before starting the next season. Also, when I watched it I didn't know Off or Janhae but seeing them in the special episode was like "Oh? Hello there." because now, not only do I recognize them, I'm looking forward to Midnight Motel because they play opposite each other in that.

SOTUS is an established relationship, which is a trope I loveeee so I hope I like this one!

Episode 1 (Apr 17)

Kongpob still using -krap endings? He's literally waking Arthit up because they spent the night together lol

lmao the way they got me with Arthit reversing the "I'll make you my wife, they say what belongs to your love belongs to you" line onto Kongpop and then Kongpob giving him the punishment of kissing his cheek 200 times. I'm sitting here giggling as Arthit gets shy at Kongpob's hazer yelling and forwardness

The hom kaem refusal even once is so :< though, I've gotten used to the casual intimacy in the newer BLs so I can already tell the lack of affection that people keep talking about will bother me. Like you've been dating for 3 years, what's unusual about a cheek sniff kiss?

Arthit getting yelled at on his first day of work T.T I know this season also deals with the workplace and how Arthit navigates it as a new grad and I'm so </3 about it, I don’t wanna watch scary times as someone who’s applying to internships currently + will be seeking work as a new grad in hopefully less than 2 years. Nervous, nervous. I should grow a thicker skin as well because if my supervisor spoke to me the way Arthit was spoken to when delivering that file, I would’ve burst into tears right there

I didn’t have many thoughts about the hazing in season 1 except it’s way too harsh and unnecessary and I didn’t like how they justified it in the end. In season 2, it’s interesting to get to watch Kongpob be the hazer and how he’s modifying it to be less harsh and more helpful while also getting pushback from that first year kid.

Arthit in the process of texting Kongpob to see if he’s free only to get a text from Kongpob asking if he’s free this evening >.< cute

The comments want this 0058 new kid’s head and are imagining ways Arthit would punish him but mans hasn’t actually done anything beyond be rude and not attend activities, doesn’t mean he should have to run 100 laps. From my perspective, I would also be so annoyed at some of these activities like singing this chant so many times, I’d for sure never show up so at least the guy showed up to give it another chance before realizing it’s useless lol

The “Drinking from same bottle without looking away” thing would be cute if they were flirting or just starting dating but they’ve been in a relationship for 3 years, how can this be so supposedly heart fluttering or out of the norm?

The cleaning up room together, putting away laundry, Kongpob messing around by putting a clothespin in Arthit’s hair, etc is cute and domestic though

I’m proud of Khaofung for asking Kongpob to take care of her gear, it was brave especially since she seemed so nervous, I love bold girls. She’s taking the rejection well thus far and I hope they don’t make her out to be a villain later

I avoided watching this for sooo long because Kongpob just entering the room made me so nervous lol. I browsed through the comments before watching this part and seems like lots of people felt the same 

In the end, Kongpob and Arthit didn’t even have a confrontation so now I’ll have to reprepare myself for it to happen in the next parts

Okay, the Arthit Kongpob confrontation was much chiller than expected. They’re still not all good but at least they’re communicative about being uncommunicative (altho... Kongpob still hasn’t mentioned that his father is the manufacturer CEO Arthit spoke to before)

I think Arthit was levelheaded and reasonable when he was disappointed/slightly upset that Kongpob didn’t tell him about interning at the company beforehand. The “We normally talk about everything, right?” was so good

Are they hinting at P’Yong/Nai ?

I hate the 0058 Tew/Day thing like bruh just leave Day alooooneeeee. Grabbing his wrist and dragging him to eat despite him vocally and physically trying to leave is agh

Tod likes P’Earth hmm I hope that means he’ll just be a nice guy and not end up being a weirdo or betrayer mans because I’ve been nervous about him messing up stuff for Arthit this whole time. Or maybe he’s even more likely to fuck stuff up for Arthit now since he’s jealous of Arthit and P’Earth spending time together?

These special scenes at the end of the episodes are so necessary bc wtf was that ending, is Kongpob moving in 2 rooms away from Arthit? Why does mans not say anything before doing it?

Episode 7 (Apr 21)

This drinks thing is so funny because Arthit literally asks if anybody wants anything, Kongpob then excuses himself to go buy drinks and nobody’s like wtf just tell Arthit, then when we pan back to the table everybody already has drinks already

This ep was generally cute and low stress, can’t wait for the stakes to start becoming higher again and then have them freaking break up from the spoilers I’ve seen

The obligatory beach episode!

It’s funny that they’re 3 years into a relationship and they show like nearly no physical affection until episode 9 lmfao. I’m not even one who enjoys watching kisses (I didn’t notice there were no kisses in Cherry Magic) but it’s like the aversion to hugs/kisses/hand holding makes it more noticeable. 

Despite it all, I’m so charmed by this pairing lol. I watch their interactions like :] because it’s just cute and endearing 

We had 2 really cute episodes and by the ending, seems like we’re getting angst soon

Episode 10 (Apr 22)

Arthit saying “We are dating, aren’t we?” when giving a reason for Kongpob to climb onto his back because he hurt his foot... cute but the freaking foreshadowing of them breaking up soon aghh

Episode 11 (Apr 22)

Watching their relationship slowly, slowly deteriorate is actually so fucked because everything else is great, the company has come back from its error, P’John is gonna get his ass kicked, Arthit is even liked by Kongpob’s father as just a nice dude. However, the bridge between Kongpob and Arthit just grows and there has been no confrontation or consequences yet, just... silence and avoidance. :(

The thing is, we have Cherry who is clearly queer and nobody seems to care, so the reactions to the kiss photos are confusing to me. Are people shocked and scandalized because Kongpob is like an important heir? But is that company wide knowledge, though? 

They don’t translate the texts that people are sending in the gc and that’s so irritating, I wanna know what people are sayingggg

Kongpob’s slow ass walk and even stop as he hopes that Arthit will call him back, will approach this time, before realizing that it just isn’t coming

I’m 3 minutes in and a performance is about to start and so I scrolled down to the comments and apparently Arthit runs up to the stage and just... the second hand embarrassment from just reading these comments, how will I actually watch this gosh

I’ve been watching this part 2 minutes at a time for like 5 hours because I really cannot... maybe I’ll just fast forward through this public thing idk

Okay, I did it. Congrats to Arthit for being brave and congrats to me for finally watching it

This means episode 13 will be very happy hopefully, so I’ll look forward to it

Public declarations are truly the bane of my existence but I’ll let it go here because they had become sort of a public spectacle, so we have a public solution and also it wasn’t as cringy and full of secondhand embarrassment as I feared; it was somewhat grounded in reality.

I think I enjoyed that more than SOTUS, which is certainly a surprise because people seem to think this sucks and shouldn’t have been made lol

I enjoyed the change in scenery and plot, getting to watch Arthit navigate the workplace. We often have university BLs and sometimes have workplace BLs but rarely is it ever about a transition from student to employee, so that was new and fun to see, despite being kinda scary for me >.<

I didn’t care about a single one of the side couples and there were like 3 bruh

I do wonder if this show had to be 13 episodes though lol 10-11 would’ve been fine if they cut out boring or unnecessary parts and just made the pacing a bit faster

I know lots of people don’t see the chemistry between Kongpob and Arthit but I thought they were really cute, actually. It definitely doesn’t feel like they’ve been dating for 3 years, which is a mar against the show but if I pretended it hadn’t been that long, it was cute. Lots of people were frustrated by Arthit not seeming to return Kongpob’s affections or seeming like he wasn’t invested in the relationship but that was only mildly frustrating for me tbh because the little ways he did reach out were enough for me, I suppose

I thought about giving it a 7/10 because I really enjoy watching it but something that needs to happen for a series to get at least a 7 is for me to think about it, at least a bit, outside of watching it. This series was cute or interesting while I was actively watching it but it didn’t hook me enough to continuously want to watch the next episode or think of the show while I wasn’t watching it.

Edit: I knew there was an OffGun cameo but I didn’t see it so I searched it up and watched it here. Where’s it actually from, though? Is there Kongpob/Arthit content too?
