🙌 It’s finally that time of year! 🍪 time for our Sand Tart Cookie Recipe! 🤶 Christmas will be here before you know it! 🎄this is a family recipe from my husband’s side of the family (@ratrodunicorn @lindalara757 ), a regional favorite, and one we do every year with the kids! It’s basically a thin, sugar cookie decorated with nuts, sparkling sugar, and sprinkles. Lentil Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) is not really a lentil. ​William Woys Weaver says this 18th century Pennsylvania Dutch pole bean has been highly valued for many ​generations for its brown, meaty beans, which resemble large lentils. Ideal for ​cassoulet recipes. Here I am just enjoying the texture of many smooth, cool beans at once, and allowing the small ones and the stray Okra seeds that got mixed in to fall through the screen. These were stomped by @leahpenniman, @bdbomorales, and others this weekend at the Seed Keeping workshop at @soulfirefarm.
