They just had a horrendous take on Azzi as well if you want to read something that will make your blood boil 😁 (here’s a quick summary, they said that Azzi isn’t a first round draft pick!)

Right so first of all, anyone who puts CC and CP in the same take and then goes on to suggest that CC is better, is not someone we should be taking seriously at all.

But I did see the take and second of all, someone who's "watched her a little bit" again, absolutely should not be someone we're taking seriously at all.

This girl has played 40 games total and maybe only about 15-20 that you could actually count as her being fully healthy. Despite this, beyond the dumbass casuals online, everyone who knows anything about the sport is still extremely high on her. Stephen Curry, idk if y'all have heard of him, is clearly still riding the Azzi Fudd train. The mock drafts all have her going at least top 10 with many having her top 4 and there isn't a single one that has her going out of the first round, let alone going undrafted. Excuse me if I'd rather trust the experts than fans who think this one random girl is the only good wbb player to have ever graced earth.

Let me make one thing abundantly clear, if Azzi Fudd is healthy, she is going to be a first-round pick and there are pretty high chances, especially if it's next year, that she'll be a lottery pick. Because the minute Azzi Fudd is healthy, as we have continuously seen, she is one of the best players and best prospects in this draft or the next.

And quite frankly, if y'alls favorite white girls (and y'all know exactly who I'm talking about) can get drafted and stick on a roster, you can bet your ass that Azzi fucking Fudd can do it too.

Some more stuff on my "Meggy gets raised by Mario and Luigi" au that I still haven't figured out the name of

Because of her being present Mario is considerably less chaotic and less of an asshole when he gets a face full of meme energy from the guardian pod but still pretty chaotic and stupid (basically a himbo)

This also has me making up dumb lore and I can't help but stuff @duckapus Splatoon ocs into Splatoon related aus so Paige basically runs away from home a lot sooner and ends up running into a disguised Callie and Marie upon arriving into Inkopolis after sneaking onto a metro train at the tender age of 10 whilst on the hunt for their missing older sister, Meggy whom was always talked about in hushed voices by their parents

Obviously this leads to Paige getting taking in by the Cuttlefishes

Yes this does in fact have the Cuttlefishes desperately hide the fact their essentially secret agents in increasingly more ridiculous ways on to lead to Paige following them sneakily into the manhole and finding out themselves cause why not

Mario and Luigi as I said decided to take a vacation to Inkadia with Meggy in order to learn more about her and her culture, this takes place when she's like 8 and during this she also meets Sam, Heavy and Kenji and ends up hitting off with them instantly whilst Luigi and Mario were discussing with a CPS member on how to care for a cephalopod child they were causing mayhem and chaos as toddlers do, go figure

Also during this trip the Superstar Siblings decide to watch and ongoing Turf War match and watch the Splatfest Champion Wren tear up the competition and little Meggy is instantly star strucked, silently slipping through the safety bars of the stands while Luigi and Mario were distracted to rush over to the champ himself when the bros. Found out they immediately had a heart attack and end up thanking Wren after he saved Meggy from being indirectly splatted

As a direct effect of Mario not being stupid, Peach is more tolerable of his shenanigans and not much of a prissy bitch so the Anime Ban doesn't happen however this does lead to a different arc

The Anime Cases Arc

In which Tari ends up put into a lead role and has to figure out a strange mystery in Inkopolis where dozens upon dozens of inklings have been disappearing over the last few weeks and ends up helping a Koopa Troopa named Detective Koopric and his adopted mouser daughter Daisybelle or Belle for short in solving this case after both Kenji, Sam and Heavy telk her they havent seen her in awhike and thought she was just hanging out with the glitchy gang (which was obviously not the case considering the fact the reason Tari asked about Meggy was because Mario worryingly asked her to help them find the missing inkling since she didn't come home on time) which obviously leads to some... Must justified panic

Not only that but Axol seems to be missing as well, which is understandably suspicious considering it lining up with the beginning of the disappearances

The events of the rest of the arc mimic that of the anime arc only with one difference

Desti doesn't die but is instead heavily crippled no thanks to Sephiroth piercing an area of nerves that mimic the spine leaving her in a coma, and even if she does its likely she'll never be able to walk normally again not with the state her nerves were left in, she'll need to use crutches for the rest of her life or a wheelchair even

Meggy now human (and recently reunited with the sibling she never knew she had, boy that was a reunion that's for sure) is extremely guilty over the state her friend has been left decides to fulfill her promise she made with the octoling

Not related to the post and idk if this is something people say to try to mitigate the harm from what happened but those images were not ai at all they were an invasion of privacy and in some cases literal cp and that's a different issue altogether especially since they keep being brought up and spread by weird ass freaks on twitter the only ai images were of 😇 that she talked about before that situation happened

if i am being honest anon, i genuinely believed that the images spreading were ai, but i also did NOT look into the situation once they came out out of respect for paige and caitlin.

everything i have seen either says the images were ai or they were ai altered. if they are not, i apologize sincerely! but from what i know of, they are ai generated of some kind.

Gossip... yes. All positive. She's very involved with the team on training days. Spends lots of time with them at the training site. The team actually has a time frame for her return to training and an estimate for her return to games (no I do not know what it is ) but I was also told that the Olympic break factors into the time frame because the break allows for more time to train rather than competitive play. I took it to mean there is no rush for her to play prior to the break even if she was close to returning by that point. So take that for what it is which is gossip. Speculation and gossip. That's how I hear it and take it and I encourage everyone to do the same. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Side note: As for her impact... she will have impact. What her general strengths are is what the team lacks and no it's not as simple as scoring. It is her accuracy and weighting of passes, understanding the timing of runs, and predicting the movements of others. It will obviously take a while to be fully up to speed but it's also important to know that unlike others, Christen Press will not take that field in a competitive match unless she feels she can make a difference.

Seriously, Azzi is totally CP, and paige is Tobin. Christen doesn't watch soccer matches, and Tobin is obsessed with them. It's similar to Azzi and Paige with basketball.

yeah their dynamic seems very similar. i hope they are able grow to the point of tobin and christen too. seeing where they were at to where they are now is still crazy to me. even like 5 years ago i wouldn't have thought they would be posting the kinda stuff they do now.

Omg I love CC and I love the new influx of fans coming into the WNBA, but sometimes I can't help myself cringing at the narratives shaped by the fans and the media. Like when it was Paige vs CC, ofc the ex UConn players (Diana, Stewie) were going to support Paige, who is from UConn, instead of CC. Like it's not hate, just pure common sense to root for your alma mater. And ofc the vets would manage everybody expectations by saying there would be an adjustment period coming into the pro league. Nobody said the rooks, esp. CC, weren't great. They literally said it happened for everyone and they went thru it too (well, maybe except for CP lol).

But ngl, CC really has one of the best storylines I have ever seen in sports. Coming from the underdog team, with a flashy playing style backed with great talent, going against the more established programs, making her a singular force in bb and marketing. The plot is plotting and I love it lol

If these newbies would just learn some respect and read into the league they are about to support all would be good

I hope Caitlin has an awesome rookie season and kicks ass but i mostly hope that if she does need some time to adjust people leave her the fuck alone. find it truly hilarious that apparently the fans that are "fake" are those of us who aren't only there for CP. heaven forbid some of us care about players who have been out there playing. look, genuinely excited for all you intense press stans but there is zero need to hate on those of us who care about other players. (this isn't even about paige or henry, neither were my personal favorites, I'll take Reid any day).

Hiiiii Nivi. Saw a Preath post and now I am back in my Preath days all over again, but I wanted to talk about how similar Pazzi is to Preath 😭

I know we’ve talked about the basics and how Paige = Tobin, and Azzi = Christen. But it’s crazyyy how true it actually is 😭

Paige/PB are your basic white girls that are attractive and have that masculine vibe to them. They both have their flashy ways of playing, but always put teammates over anything. Tobin and PB give “quiet leader vibes” (I think PB is probs more vocal, but that’s just bc of her team and who she plays with). I also would say that Tobin and PB are both all around players. Tobin being a great winger, was amazing in the midfield for us for a while, and also has a good defensive presence and played RB for us as well during that cursed Rio Olympics 😭😭. And obvs PB is a 3 level scorer, but also a 2 way player (I think we do not appreciate her defense enough tho!!)

Azzi/CP are your “they were so pretty they were bullied in school and called ‘pretty girl pretty girl’” meme (LOL). Both are princesses and sweet, but lethal on the court/field. (Azzi and Press being sharp shooters and also quick asfff respectively). I constantly think about how silky smooth Azzi’s shoot is and how you always want her to be taking the shot. Meanwhile, Press is amazing at creating her own shot and any sliver of daylight, she’s pulling the trigger and it’s going to be a GOLAZO. I also think both players could have been in the limelight more, but bc of other teammates (Paige for Azzi, and Alex Morgan for CP) and their bad timing with injuries, people/media don’t appreciate them enough.

All 4 of them have battled injuries, all of them being knee injuries as well 😭 I just think it’s insane how we’ve talked about the dynamic of Preath/Pazzi and how similar they are, but individually, they are all so eerily similar as well LMAO

I think I've subconsciously had all of these thoughts but damn seeing it all laid out like that, the parallels go kind of insane. I think we often talk about it in terms of personality, but yeah Paige-Tobin and Azzi-Christen have such similar playing styles, it's actually uncanny.

Okay I actually do have a parallel that I've been thinking about and it's about Gemini-Capricorn (Preath) parings and Libra-Scorpio (Pazzi) pairing. Both of these pairings are very much opposites attract pairings (which we see in real life obviously) to the point where honestly in most situations, these pairings aren't compatible. Except from what I've read, there are certain exceptions who know how to take their opposite approaches to various problems in life and find the perfect way to mesh them together. As a result the "exception" are some of the most strongest couples there can be and I think that's kinda beautiful because I think both Pazzi/Preath together and individually are the exception to so many supposed rules.
