My Haiku for Palestine. I visited Palestine in 2013 and spent an entire month there. Palestine is one of those countries where everyone speaks to you of war, of their displacement, and of course about the Israeli occupation -an occupation that the US government funds. That is a picture that I took of the seperation wall that Israeli built to keep out the Palestinians -trump is talking about building a similar wall to keep out Mexicans: see the parallels. When we talk about decolonizing ourselves we must also learn about how US intervention and imperialism has f$&%ed South America, South East Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East and nearly the entire continent of Africa. In order for us to decolonize ourselves we must study and learn the very ugly things that our country has done throughout the world. This fight is different, however, because the war that trump is launching is against us -white people can cry all they want -but he is not coming for them: he his coming for us.
