You wanna know what’s wild about the way time’s lining up for me in SDV??

When I ended up activating the four-heart even with Penny at the exact same moment I was tryna find her to give her a flower.

Like imagine you try to give a fresh grown tulip to the woman you’ve been courting for like, almost two years at this point, and then her mom pulls up and suddenly it’s like “OH. OH SHIT?!” and you never even get to give her the flower cuz it kicks you out the trailer after and you feel like it would be a bad time.

Started playing Stardew Valley and immediately befriended the town’s elderly population and also Pam because I have a bleeding heart and I want the old folks and the town drunk to have friends ):

Mental Health, its an important topic that stardew valley doesn’t manage too well.

Pam and Kent’s mental health problems (and many more’s) are completely overlooked if they’re not a bachelor and they are given an antagonistic position; that’s why I wanted to draw them supporting each other, lending a hand to Shane even when their own problems are a lot to bear.

When I was playing Stardew Valley recently, I got to the Feast of the Winter Star festival, and I had to give a gift to Pam. I figured that'd be easy; I just bought a beer from Gus beforehand and gave it to Pam.

Then it was time for my character to receive a gift. The gift giver was Penny. And she gave me... a beer.

I understand the gifts a villager can give are random, but this felt bizarrely calculated. Penny hates all alcohol, beer included, and Pam is her mother. It felt like Penny saw me giving Pam a beer and then regifted it back to me. Or maybe this was a way of threatening me, by gifting me something she detests with a big smile on her face.

One of Maru's loved gifts is cheese cauli, a recipe you learn from Pam, so all I can imagine is that it's a special memory for her. Maybe of her first sleepover with Penny, or her first night eating dinner at her house?

Stardew Inktober Day 2

doing both of these in one day 'cause i forgot to do 1 yesterday lol

-The Bus-

To say Pam was happy was an understatement.

That Farmer had fixed up the bus? Or the Farmer had gotten the bus fixed, since they kept denying that they fixed it themself?

Either way, the bus was fixed.

Pam had a job again.

To say Penny was happy was an understatement.

It'd been a week since the Farmer had managed to get the bus up and running again, somehow, and Penny hadn't seen her mother this happy in years.

Pam was being paid. And surprisingly, she wasn't spending it all on beer. Sure, she still spent every night in the Saloon, but just this morning Pam had gifted her daughter a fresh Poppy Seed Muffin.

"Made it myself. Joja had a sale and I thought, why not?" Pam had said.

Penny had just smiled and tried to savor the muffin as much as possible.

To say Lewis was happy was an understatement.

The bus was up and running. His town, his beloved town, that he'd let fall apart was being rebuilt day by day by the Farmer.

He loved that Pam was employed again. He loved that Penny seemed happier. And he loved that since the bus was up and running again, more people might come around.

The Farm was bettering the town day after day.

To say that Sandy was happy was an understatement.

The Farmer came by every few days to chat with her. With all the years she'd spent in solitude, with no one but Qi for company, and Emily on her birthday, the opportunity to talk to another person was overwhelming.

The Farmer was nice, and with the bus opened back up, Sandy might even have a chance to visit the Valley.

To say that Mr. Qi was happy... would be to make an assumption.

It'd be correct, of course. And an understatement. But as usual, Mr. Qi hid his emotions quite well.

The Farmer was everything he'd hoped for and more. They'd do extraordinary things, that much was certain.

OK so.. I understand... That on one hand pam has a rlly bad drinking problem... So she might not be the best choice for being the only bus driver in stardew valley

But on the other hand... She is also the only consistent worker-

And we don't want to replicate the Deutsche bahn™ now do we?

So everyone brew some gosh darn pale ale and give it to your local bus driver before buying a ticket cause they are the only person that ever do their damn job!
