Hey guys, excuse the recent silence but I was enjoying Cyprus far too much! For those of you that have been long time followers and friends of Tourist by Chance, you will know that I have a soft spot for Cyprus. Well, in the next 6 posts, I will be sharing my favourite places to explore when visiting this magnificent island, I am lucky enough to call ‘home’. * * * Welcome to Profitis Elias Church, perched on a hill between the beach towns of Protaras and Paralimini. * * * While it’s no ancient church (constructed in 1984) the interior of the church is beautifully decorated with frescoes and painted plates, however, what really makes this a great attraction are the views of the area. Arsonists torch six cars in Limassol and Paralimni

Police in Famagusta and Limassol were on Tuesday investigating four separate arson cases involving six cars, which were badly damaged.

At Paralimini, police were looking into an arson attack involving three vehicles parked outside a house.

Police said the call came in at 1.30am with firefighters finding three cars in flames at the scene.
