tbh the mark of some of my favorite things is that they drive me to create and qsmp has that in SPADES. like i love anything that just gets me going so much i want to just CREATE SOMETHING and this is just so!!!! like the characters are so goddamn compelling and emotional and they've got mystery at the core of it (island??? code??? shadow government???) plus the child of the child of god or something but also just.

found family!! it takes a village!! a myriad of diverse family units!!! platonic bonds of every make and model!! do you want "we are debatably canon soul bonded"? do you want "we were so sibling coded we adopted each other"? do you want "my husband is your child rearing partner and i'll protect you with my life"? want "man with deep rooted paranoia becomes so deeply friends with people"? want "we're both unhinged and that's hilarious"? want "i went to med school to get a camera out of your ass"?

there's so much. there's so much. i'm so full of words not a damn one gets written. i am brimming with creative energy. i absolutely understand why they're playing on the server for so long. i'm so happy.

Haven’t posted QSMP rambles for a while and might not after this but there’s something to be said about a tragic ending…

The ghosts of the island roam through a land that was never there to begin with. How everything went wrong, they will endlessly search for answers. Driven to grief, many parents lose their place without any way back.

How cruel was it of the federation to let me them live a normal life, only to drag everyone back to where it all began. To get them attached to children they could never truly protect.

Think about it- the hope in the beginning, slightly confused but unmarred by the treachery of the islands.

But now it’s over- it has been for a while.

Maybe it was over when they were sent to purgatory, maybe that was supposed to be the end but the islanders clung to life like roaches in the apocalypse.

Jaiden and Max are dead, so is Dan and Spreen for that matter too. The latter two didn’t even survive for that long anyways.

Bad and Foolish are forever wandering with the loss of their children- unable to end their immortal souls.

Fit and Philza have moved on- spurred my greater purposes that condemn them from making fallible connections. They are warriors, not fathers.

Tubbo works in a fugue state- barely even noticing when the Bunny’s or even Cucurucho stop visiting. Only the hum of machines keeping him company on an island that was once filled with family.

Slimecicle, without anyone left to stop him, let himself give into the code. He never was given the chance to heal from his daughter’s death, not with the twisted spirit in her image prodding at his grief.

Cellbit, well that remains a bit of a mystery. His sanity in tatters and his son gone- his husband so different from the person he fell in love with… some say he offed himself, others that he returned to purgatory with Baghera as if to not remember anything more than pure survival instinct.

Roier, stuck as a rat with no one to turn him back. He lived as a rodent and died as one.

Tina… well, maybe it was the loss of Empanada that made her lose the fight to the demonic but now she waits. Endlessly wandering the islands as a deity of rage and uncertainty.

Mike and Pac knew things were going bad quickly- they chose the swiftest way out they could think of. Their bodies intertwined with Richas’ small form at the bottom of a great height.

Bagi has no family once again, what little connection she had to tie her to this world is gone. All that sacrifice and for nothing. She endlessly searches for a way past the island’s reach but comes up short. One day she set sail and never returned.

Missa falls asleep with his children and his platonic husband, underneath the watchful eye of gods brought over by Philza’s presence. Even as crows surround Phil and his body starts to dissipate with the familiar spark of purple- his adventure starting anew, Missa does not go. Death cannot come for a reaper like him and he still has children to stay with.

Fred, for his many short comings, is reset. All his memories gone in an instant. They have one last look at the strange tinkerer in his factory, ignoring the odd feeling in their chest as the federation prepares to leave the island sinking into ruin.

Agent 18 is found slumped against the door of his office by a golden man with fins at his feet. There are scratch marks at the door but no indication of it ever opening. The golden man stays there for a moment before closing the door again and continues walking.

The eggs that weren’t found… who knows if they ever woke up. Maybe they’re still sleeping somewhere, hidden away. Maybe they’ve been sent back to the adoption centre to wait for guardians who will never come back. Perhaps they go to Tallulah’s special hiding place in the centre to curl up with their remaining siblings, close their eyes and never open them.

Quackity… who knows if he was ever really there? A ghost of an experiment clinging to a life he never had.

And well Cucurucho, he puts a blue feather away in his desk, uproots his remaining corn plants for something more practical and prepares for new residents. The experiment starts over, hopefully with more docile subjects this time. With ElQuackity waiting for them at the docks, nothing will go wrong this time… or they’ll just have to do it all over again until they get it right.

My Idea of a Modern Au QSMP

- All of the egg are all in their first grade

- Cucurucho is their teacher

- Bobby is Biologically Jaiden’s nephew whose parents werent the best so she takes full custody, she raised him alongside her best freinds Roier and Cellbit who are married

- Roier and Jaiden knew eachother since high school and later Cellbit joined the mix

- Cellbit used to be married to Forever and adopted Richarlyson together but didnt really work out in the end

- However no hard feeling they still get along and co - parents Richarlyson Cellbit being a bit more active

- Spreen is Roier’s college ex who broke up with him in a bad manner (Jaiden hates him for it)

- Chayanne is Missa’s legal child who raised him alongside Phil who became Chayanne’s legal guardian

- Missa’s previous partner is actually Cucurrucho’s legal parent making him and Chayanne half brothers

- Badboyhalo is Dapper’s adult cousin who adopted Dapper after parents tragicaly died

- Bad is rumored to have been dating someone lately

- Spreen ended marryed Fit and adopted Ramon together but Spreen ended up becoming neglectful and ditched the both of them

- Maximus is a single parent to Trump after his other parent also ditch them as well

- Quakity marries Luzu and adopted TIlin but Luzu ditch them when Tilin was a baby

- Fit, Max, and Quakity ended up froming a mini club called the “My partner ditch me club” and just spend time shititng their ex partners and talking about parenthood

- Talluha was a result of one night stand, but due to work Wilbur has to leave Tallulah with Phil, but he does pay child support

- because Phil is mostly in charge when it comes to Chayanne’s schooling, Missa dosent know that Cucurrucho is his teacher

- and because of he was a baby when their parents divorce, Cucurrucho and Chayanne dosent know that they are half brothers

- Foolish and Vegetta met during a one nigth stand and they hit off pretty well, they adopted Leonarda together

-Baghera is a single parent to Pomme after her partner passed away at birth

-Quakity and Wilbur used to be high school swethearts, and is rumured that they will probbaly be back together

-Charlie and Marianna are divorced and co - parents Juana flipa Charlie being more present,

- their is rumors that the two will slowly fall back in love

The eggs went missing on September eighth, but that's not counted here--probably because the vacuum created the rawest lore we've ever had. That period felt truly unpredictable, and allowed the islanders' relationships and individual arcs to shine.

Things didn't start to derail until Purgatory, which created fantastic scenarios, but halted the existing lore and ended in such a scripted and anti-climactic way. Three months of grief, uncertainty, and mysteries, just for Cucurucho to rescue the eggs without the parents.

CCs were so burnout from Purgatory that Foolish and Tina took a week to log back in, while Slime, Cellbit, and Baghera took several more months (excepting the latter two's participation in Purga2ry). Pol has been asked not to log in due to admins preparing lore (but it's been three months, so...), and Jaiden left entirely. Max ended his character for similar reasons.

The inaction halted a lot of arcs from before Purgatory--like Foolish investigating the worker killings and preparing to arrest Cellbit. The eye workers killed Empanada, and threatened war on Quesadilla island.

But perhaps the hastiness to wipe the server came from Forever's prominence, and after he was kicked, they wanted to eradicate his presence. Understandable, but narratively unsatisfying. That entire era was insane--we got Forever threatening the eggs as @v@ and his enigmas on Twitter, then him announcing he was quitting to go start Stonkscraft, and then his old tweets and meetings with an underage fan were revealed while he was on vacation. His three streams addressing them were all over the place, and then he got kicked.

So, in two weeks, we went from q!Forever being a terrifying and powerful presence, to him being gone but a bright future, to disillusionment, to confirmation of some reprehensible acts, to cc!Forever being gone and memories with him being sullied. That's a lot.

Then QSMP prison happened. It actually did wonders to stimulate interactions and content (the group therapy was fantastic), with Missa, ElMariana, Roier, Baghera, and Cellbit all joining despite months of absence.

But while the CCs were asked which builds they wanted to save, they were planning stuff after prison; like Pac and Mike's nearly-completed hide-and-seek arena. They had no idea the server would be wiped! Cellbit and Baghera's triumphant return from Purgatory was relegated to a cinematic. And when it was wiped, so much history and build up went with it. And the reset DISCOURAGED the resolution of old plot points. In MCRP, builds are the result of character relationships and often necessary for plot.

Q presented it as a "new era" that would welcome new fans, but it came at the expense of the old. Even CCs felt isolated; Bad had prepared his builds in accordance with his character dying, and Pierre nearly left for months because he couldn't do his lore without his mansion.

I am glad that new CCs won't feel so far behind, but...was there ever a rush? Why not give everyone a month's incentive after prison that the server will be wiped, and let them spend a month wrapping up old lore? Even if they will be able to return eventually, the momentum to continue old lore will be gone.

Parent groups! DanTDM and Maximus get an egg they (for some fucking reason) named Trump, Philza and Missa get Chayanne, Slimecicle and Mariana get Juanaflippa, Fit and Screen get Ramon, Foolish and Vegetta get Leonarda, Roier and Jaiden get Bobby, Quackity is a single parent of Tilin, and BadBoyHalo is a single parent of Dapper.

The eggs are limited to 2 lives only, and at first must have certain tasks done for them every single day or else they die of neglect and lose a life. The first few weeks several eggs lose a life and a few die permanently. Trump dies of neglect (Dan stopped logging in and Maximus was unable to log in one day), Juanaflippa died to a misclick/sweeping edge, and Tilin also died to sweeping edge on accident. After Juanaflippa lost her second life everyone got together to have a trial to try bringing her back to life, she was but soon died yet again a short time later. Soon after Wilbur returned to the server briefly between tours with his band and got an egg named Tallulah that he left in the care of Phil when he had to leave again.

Slime and Quackity decided to do some sort of weird scheme where Slime pretended to be a new egg named Gegg, I genuinely don’t remember why exactly they thought it was a good idea but Gegg sure did exist.

At some point Max, Bad, and Foolish started the Theory Bros to try to figure out the island’s mysteries. One day everyone got a message saying the eggs would die in 6 days, and on the given date they disappeared and a ship crashed into the island carrying 5 Brazilians, named Cellbit, Pac, Mike, Forever, and Felps. Soon after introductions the eggs reappeared but with cracks on their shells, and they now only required tasks done 3 times a week to not die of neglect. The Brazilians also got an egg named Richarlyson.

Cellbit made a plan to try interrogating Cucurucho and lured it to him by building an illegal iron farm, but he was then teleported to a creepy hallway and tortured with a chainsaw by Cucurucho. He became very vocally against the Federation after that. At some point Felps was kidnapped by the Federation and a plane crashed on the island with the French, named Baghera, Etoiles, Antoine, Aypierre, and Kameto, and they were given an egg named Pomme. Bobby lost his last life in a dungeon. Cellbit decided to infiltrate the federation by turning on everyone else to be convincing that he was on the fed’s side in order to try to find out what they did to Felps, but after managing to get some info to Richas he was also kidnapped by the Feds and soon he and Felps were rescued. Also Cellbit and Roier got married.

Ummm eventually Quackity was kidnapped and replaced by El Quackity who looked like him but didn’t remember the same things as Quackity, and then there was a presidential election. Forever won, Gegg also ran but was assassinated by a couple of codes who were disguised as Chayanne and Tallulah because they can fucking do that now. Phil immediately could tell they weren’t really his kids and ended up fighting with Etoiles to kill them after they revealed themselves. At some point regular Quackity came back but with zero memories and unable to read or write, Pac and Mike have been kidnapped both together (arrested by the Feds) and separately (code for Pac, unknown for Mike), more new people joined who had apparently been frozen in some prison, including Tubbo, Niki, Ironmouse, Tina, Pol, Willy, and a few others I can’t remember right now.

One day a few of the eggs woke up feeling weak and looking either dirty or more badly cracked (it was hard to tell) and then the next day they’d all completely disappeared, leaving their unique accessories behind on their beds. Everyone has been incredibly distressed by losing the eggs, op went into some of it but missed a few details. It’s not confirmed that Bad ate Ron, or even killed him, but it’s been hinted that he did something during his psychotic break (he cut to a black screen and there were chainsaw noises and the next day Ron’s room was badly damaged and Ron wasn’t visible in there)

There’s been a lot of individual people’s lore and backstories starting to be revealed, such as Baghera being experimented on by the Federation as a child before escaping, and Aypierre having been tortured near death for information by the Feds and had to have surgical intervention to keep him alive at some point probably before crashing to the island.

Tubbo, Slime, and Roier were the ones to find the maze. At some point before the eggs vanished Slime found Juanaflippa (who is likely actually a code) and she told him to keep her existence a secret. Recently Juanaflippa led Bad, Aypierre, and Maximus back into a different section of the maze they hadn’t been able to get into before, where Bad had to roll dice and got a new ticket to the island with his name on it, and since then others have been directly teleported to the dice room and getting their own tickets.

Etoiles lost a fight against the code and had his special code sword and shield taken, and publicly declared he’s a builder now he’s done fighting but he secretly had a rematch with the code and won, getting the shield back, and agreed to work with the codes against the federation (but if the codes hurt the eggs or his friends he’ll still kill them) but he’s only told a few people and is still pretending to be on his builder arc.

Another new member is here, named Carre. Even more recently, Kameto (who had only logged on a couple times and then disappeared) was “rescued” from a federation prison but is actually working with them. I’ve definitely also missed shit but here’s my contribution to lore infodumping with what I know and can think of right now

buncha guys are on a train to Quesadilla Island. there is a Huge Wall in the middle of the island. a duck greets them and says "whatever you do don't press the big red button". they press the big red button. the wall Crumbles. yay! duck comes back and says "wtf now you Can Never Leave The Island". also theres a ton of like ruins/old crusty buildings on the island and their first task was to restore electricity so like. there probably Used To Be People Here.

then! new Building appears! duck says "you idiots woke up a dragon and it flew away. now you gotta take care of her eggs". new building turns out to be an adoption center!! there are two parents per egg and each parent has to be from a different language (at the time it was only spanish and english). i forget who the parents were (this was long before i was In The Fandom) but essentially government assigned gay marriage. anyway they have to take care of the eggs and keep them happy and stuff so they don't Die

also there's a guy named cucurucho who's like one of the top federation guys. hes a bitch. then theres another cucurucho (osito bimbo) whos not a bitch. he appears out of nowhere and speaks in like pre generated text to speech voice lines and also writes and gives people books to communicate

also! an enemy is made called The Code or the Binary Entity! it's. well. exactly what it sounds like. a floating mess of ones and zeroes in black and green. and it is Violent and attacks the eggs

spoiler. some of the eggs die. its very sad. there is conflict. i am going to skip to where i joined the fandom because i don't know too much about the Middle Parts

so the eggs go missing. horrible awful tragedy. everyone is upset (and begins to go Insane). forever is so angry and sad he goes and pretty much attacks cucurucho. he then gets drugged on Happy Pills and becomes an absolute weirdo. pac goes and gets kidnapped/drugged on purpose and finds a Cure. yay! the get the leftover Happy Pills and put them in a very secure safe. it is not very secure. bbh immediately steals the pills just to prove that he could. the safe is later reinforced further. also when forever was detoxing he screamed that cucurucho told him that the eggs weren't kidnapped they ran away because of an Even Worse Danger. which some of the islanders believe and some dont

bbh does not buy it and kidnaps a federation worker who he named ron and we later found out is WB011. the workers dont get names and there are tiers D-A, d is the lowest A is the highest. also bbh has fully lost all the color on his skin and is torturing himself with soul vultures and is now covered in his own corrupted blood and torn clothes. hes also canonically completely colorblind

while this is happening tubbo is flirting with fred, another federation worker (WA02). so he's a fed worker defender 100%.

tubbo breaks into fred's office and finds two books: one saying bbh is suspicious and possibly dangerous and advising workers to avoid him. then next book says worker WB011 has not clocked in or out of work for several days and is missing. he draws the conclusion that bbh has kidnapped WB011.

unfortunately bbh had some sort of psychotic episode and. um. ate ron.

also tubbo, slimescicle and. fuck i forget the third person. got coordinates from a chest surrounded by black concrete. each of them had one of the 3 coordinates (x, y, and z) and it took them like 45 minutes to connect the dots. they are led to the entrance of a Maze. when they get through the maze they find a circular room with a wheel numbered 1-8 in roman numerals, surrounded by the eggs signature belongings. obviously they all Freak Out and try to find a way to get in. tubbo enderpearls through the barriers and spins the wheel. lava pours down from everywhere. rip

a little later everyone goes in the maze and finds a room thats like some sort of control room with a big red button. when they press it theres a dialogue that said "i think i found something about the eggs disappearance. lets continue this conversation on the main channel"

at some point they find the circular room again and it has the wheel again but this time the only egg belonging is chayenne's rubber ducky. strange.

more black concrete keeps appearing, then a huge alien structure appears. THEN. they find a message on black concrete FROM THE EGGS!!! wherever they are they can't get back and can only send one message at a time. two more alien structures end up appearing.

tubbo digs a giant hole with a world eater that bbh and aypierre hate so he names it the controversial hole.

bbh is slowly testing everyone on the island to see who he can trust and who he can't, and is implying to everyone that he will burn the world down and kill everyone to get the eggs back. we support his wrongs

philza gets kidnapped and put in a bird house for like a week, thinks it's a bad dream and can't really remember what happened.

bagi arrives with nothing but a frying pan and determination. she somehow has the code for the main channel, but they don't know what to input the code in to make it work.

etoiles now has a love/hate relationship with the codes and enjoys fighting them for fun. he kills one and the only thing it drops are its sword, shield, and a book saying "protect". he takes that to mean protect everyone on the island.

at this point everyone is incredibly suspicious of everyone else btw.

also yesterday bagi told fred that tubbo was in love with him and this morning tubbo got a letter from fred rejecting him and signed it "WA02". my ship has crashed and burned i'm so sad. he has also heavily implied he will Ruin Bagi for this

i definitely missed things but this is a lot of the gist of it i think !
