A closeup . .Celebrating #worldtheatreday This is one of my first ballet pictures with a beautiful ballerina call Tatiana, a principal dancer with Swansea ballet russe. This was when she was rehearsing at @swanseagrand . Swansea Ballet Russe were the only resident Russian ballet company in the whole of the UK. They included Amazing dancers trained at the Bolshoi and Perm schools. I was so lucky they were based in Swansea Grand Theatre. . It was such a privilege to to draw them every week in rehearsal. They taught me such a lot 🥰😍 how to look at a dancer, The repetitions, the correct poses.
