i genuinely do not understand the difficulty debate! i dont! even with soulsborne (AND I LIKE SOULSBORNE.) like what ??? what does it matter??? "the games are meant to be challenging" YES. THEY ARE. BUT THEY ARENT MEANT TO BE IMPOSSIBLE. "challenging" is different for every person. the challenge of soulsborne games isnt meant to make you feel like shit. they WANT you to succeed. if someone wants more challenge they will pick the more challenging mode. its not that hard oh my god

#realisations ive had since blasting through p5r on normal and patho 2's difficulty settings update #take. take fire emblem. right #casual & classic mode. casual was added in awakening. has stuck around ever since. yeah?#does that stop people from playing classic iron man (no resets when characters die) runs? no?#people who want to be challenged will seek out that challenge #i wouldnt be playing bloodborne if i didnt want that challenge! when i replayed spider-man (example) i played on the hardest difficulty!#pathologic 2's difficulty systems literally say yk 'this is the recommended way to play BUT'#you can make it harder. you can make it easier.#also shoutout to dishonored (2) for not including hard mode achievements common arkane w & all that #BUT EVEN LIKE.
