And The Sky Bled Fire AU

A TF:One AU where Megatronus Prime does survive Sentinel's ambush. However, he spends a bit of time being healed by Unicron who manages to influence him to plunge this universe into chaos. It mostly follows Orion and D-16 trying to navigate a post-apocalyptic Cybertron that is perpetually on fire. D-16 here is related to Prima and Megatronus (because it's my AU and I decide the rules).

I did make a One-Shot here but I have reworked the AU because I wrote it at a time when I was sad and I am now not sad so I can think a bit more about this AU. I will be writing some one-shot fics for it (once I get my new Ao3 account) so for now here's some stuff from the AU (a little messy with my thoughts cause I am just writing down all the details of this AU that I want to share).

Unlike in the one-shot, D-16 and Orion will not actually start out together. They will end up meeting each other after the apocalypse happened. This AU takes place a few cycles earlier than in the canon movie and while they did immediately meet there, in this AU, D-16 was in another mining group from Orion. So they end up meeting during the apocalypse itself. OPMeg stills happens lmao.

There is another reason now for why D-16 lost his optics. In the one-shot, it's never explained other than he lost them because of Orion. Here, when Orion first met D-16 (this is a few cycles after the apocalypse happened), he already lost his optics. I won't say how he lost his optics - but I will say that it has something to do with the High Guard (who will be here in this AU too).

While in the original one-shot, I stated D-16 was not related to Primatronus and I just made a convoluted reason as to how they can be related. In this version, he genuinely is related to Primatronus. I will not explain how right now, but let's just say he is their sparkling and this will be slowly explained once I start writing the one-shot fics for this AU lmao.

Most of the bots that are still alive here are the cogless miners, though there's definitely some cogged bots who are still alive. The reason for this is cause there's still an energon drought and the only ones who could feed themselves were the cogless miners since they didn't have a hard time adjusting to finding energon. It took a while for the remaining cogged bots to adjust.

Some other tidbits about Dee (even though I do plan to make most of the one-shot fics in Pax's POV cause Dee is meant to be a mysterious character here) that I will not fully explain yet :3

During the initial days before the Inferno, D-16 felt "watched."

He met the High Guard when he first escaped to the surface.
