it’s not that, it’s that the whole system is gamed by corporations and the government and has fucked society 

where the trouble is patents, every gmo is patented by an corporation (the most notable being monsanto) and in the united states and in other countries, there are a ton of bars to agriculture leaving farmers with basically the only option to either, you know, use a gmo that is not the best crop actually because you cannot have any excess, you can’t recollect seeds for next years crop and a shit ton of other things because GMO seeds are rigged to keep farmers dependent on giving all of their money to corporations

so say if you want to, not, use GMO patented seeds, then you’re basically fucked as a farmer because there’s a huge process of registration and a whole bunch of basically busy work the government makes you do so you can legally sell your crops, it’s all an expedited process with GMOs because that’s all done for you, which is a huge incentive to use it because honestly? the government system that the United States have (that corporations have been lobbying for decades to make) makes it nearly impossible for the average person without a very fucking good lawyer and accountant to do anything

and say you do, if you live anywhere near some other farmer that works with GMO crops then you’re once again fucked, if there’s any sort of cross pollination (which i wanna say will happen within a 20 mile radius i’m not sure but it’s fucking huge) between your non gmo crop and the gmo then the corporation can sue and will, and the least they will do is force you to burn all your crops for the year which, is hell, 

so like, the whole issue with GMOs is not that they’re healthy or bad for you or not it’s that they’re literally killing the American economic system from the inside out with an increased need for subsidies while letting one single corporation for the most part control the entire agricultural system

the whole health thing to be honest with you, is a scam also done by the corporations to hide the real issues with GMOs, I don’t remember the numbers it’s been about 6 months since i did my research on it but i believe it’s around 80% of those studies that are researching if GMOs are dangerous (and subsequently come back with “unclear results”) are in fact done by the very corporations that own the patents which, results in a huge bias where they can manipulate the results however they please (so take the whole! they’re not bad for you with a grain of salt)

(not to mention there’s a huge issue with monoculture and it’s shit affects on people not to mention the environment but that’s like…another rant) 

tl;dr it’s not about whether GMOs are healthy or not it’s about their negative impact on society as a whole through patents which don’t allow other innovation to happen within agriculture and harm farmers and is a huge drain economic wise

omg ok so first off bless the five of you that asked because i’ve been wanting to make this post since i asked ssd about it and she hated every second of it despite her saying she loved it but like

lup goes into barry’s room to get some notes that he had on like the atmospheric ratio or whatever and it’s like relatively early cycle before anything and she just, sees it out of the corner of her eye, and there it is, blue, shiny, and perfect and she nearly fucking cries because he forgot to put it away and so she calls mags in to see this legendary day 

but magnus, bless him, just fucking picks it up because he’s nasty and lup screams at him but they go wash it off and obviously they have. to do something to prank barry but like, they just can’t think of anything so they’re just trying to think of something in the kitchen and like barry, taak, and luc all walk in from the lab and see the blue dildo on the counter and barry goes fucking red so quick (luc too because she knows whose that is) 

and mags, godbless his soul, just immediately puts it in his mouth and taak kills him on the spot, no joke

anyway the next night everyone comes to dinner and there’s a total of 11 various dildos and vibes and lup just says, “take bets and figure out whose is whose” andd it literally breaks the bond engine (luc gets it on first try)

Pls talk about the bad ipre au i really wanna know but don't know ifs it is night where you are yet

oh yeah i was busy studying and enabling my friends but now i’m ready

so like yeah it’s bad ipre (obvs me and @starsshinedarkly77 did this together lol) where the ipre kids made the relics but fell under the thrall? almost immediately they bond to their relics which is to be expected since each of them had to put such a large amount of themselves and their magic into the relics

them bonding with the relics doesn’t however stop them from wanting to be wanted and sending out those vibes to everyone in the world in addition to just the normal corruption that goes with the relics that corrupt each of ipre

which, leads to new gods being born

now, i don’t know how gods work in griff’s world but if you pump someone with enough cosmic power magic, they can become a god, and then throw in some followers? you have a powerful god which is what ipre becomes and when you throw 7 gods into a new world you end up with a struggle for power because each relic can shape the world into their own vision which even includes usurping the old gods (raven queen, istus, etc, and even their wards to are switched to under ipre control which means barry got a new friend) to take their thrones too because even the gods are not strong enough to take out the relics as we’ve seen in the actual campaign

however, lucretia, mind wipes them again and it has the opposite effect of what she wants because instead of getting them to forget the relics and come back, she just made 6 gods who have forgotten their humanity 

the only reason lucretia escaped is because she never finished her relic, it’s still raw light so she tries to form the bureau once again but it’s still so hard because while people don’t remember the rise of them their affects and groups are still there and subconsciously trying to find them again trying to find their gods--it’s just an absolute mess

she tries to find people who were never tempted by the relics even before she wiped the world, julia who was too busy trying to fight her own battle in raven’s roost against calen, johann who’s love for music and his work, hurley and sloane who were just enjoying life and battle wagons, maureen miller who morns the loss of her son but continues her family legacy to find something that will fix this world, angus mcdonald who lives to one day restore the mcdonald detective name after his mother and father both were killed during the relics wars, and so so much more...all people who had a unstoppable driving force of love in their life that made them immune to the relics thrall 

it follows the same path of the campaign with the phoenix first, and honestly there is no fighting lup, she could rip a hole through the plane if she wanted to but somehow managing to slip her the voidfish juice lets her remember and it’s that love that she remembers for her crew that helps them pry the relic from her and she returns to them joining this new weird family that lucretia put together.. and it’s just one by one they do that plus the old ipre begging the lost ones and  crying for them to return (imagine lup begging for taako to come back)

and there’s...more tbh but this is just the jist plus some flare

lup like already has her bags packed and is in her bikini and she arrives at their townhouse before they leave and krav just. realizes. oh. this is what he should have expected, but it’s like a month long honeymoon it’s chill like it’s still taking him a bit to learn that when he married taako he also married pretty much all of ipre and that there will never be an empty house, which he really doesn’t mind and starts to love

it’s actually a Huge thing for me and @starsshinedarkly77 (we’re both poly and project ya) and i’ll throw them under a cut because it’s Long and i know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea and mentions some NSFW

so uh first a lot of how it all starts 

like? ? it’s relatively kinda easy how a lot of the relationships form like it’s just a need for sex or any sort of intimacy esp during this horrific experience they all need comfort and yeah there’s crushes getting thrown around too but for the beginning and i’m saying mostly around mags and lu it’s just a need for release and relaxing

like i’m not sure if romantic feelings ever get thrown between the two (or if mags ever feels too romantically for any of ipre) but they both have such an intense and pure love for each other that just happens so quick that everyone’s like, oh, sweet, thanks for getting the bond engine this week

granted they’re also hell kids because they fuck too much (hi this is my monthly promo for hypersexual lup and mags thanks) and if they’re both missing and someone in ipre has to find them there’s a kinda nose goes because they have no shame

a lot of the relationships form from simply. someone wants to be held and sometimes it’s nice to be held by the same person multiple times. 

and i think that’s why barry starts going to mags–just hesitant because he’s not exactly sure how him and lup are but like, he just fucking needs contact and mags is like lol dude lets hug it out and they just start cuddling and then lup needs in because she wants to cuddle him too and that’s how barry ends up in between them and it’s just.. so nice (they also have sex because uh needs)

i mean i could write an entire 5000 word essay on lupcret about how they get together but it is a huge mutual crush until they get together and they’re just,, love,, they’re definitely the first romantic relationship on the ship

sweet young lucretia has a compulsive heterosexuality crush on mags because uh?? everyone is attracted to him?? so i am too?? he is objectively hot?? and she tries to have a threesome with him and lup and she’s like nope nope i ‘m a lesbian thank s

but her and lup just have a very very sweet and dependable love after trying to isolate herself from lup and lup is like, no i love you, i want to be with you, and lucretia just cries she’s so happy and forehead touching is a HUGE thing of theirs just a thing of i will hold you through everything, you are my love, don’t worry just look at me

merle and dav have nearly the longest slowburn that everyone else on the ship snicker like just fuck like the rest of us

it’s actually…surprisingly sweet and they go through the whole dating shebang and they’re kinda quiet about their relationship until one day davenport proposes and merle fucking loses it and tells everyone about HIS HUSBAND ISN”T HE BEAUTIFUL and dav is like it was nice trying to keep it quiet

ok now into more just hc:

cuddle piles and somehow all of them manage to fit onto one couch like lup and taako will just be sitting there already folded into each other and magnus will come up and lift them just a bit so that they can be on his lap  and then barry sits behind magnus somehow and lucretia is behind lup and if merle behaves he can also be on there but davenport only rarely joins the couch because it gets hot as hell and he doesn’t want the sweat

a fight breaks out about who is better taako or lup in bed and magnus and barry are put on trial and it’s a full cycle fight until they split up what they are better at  and it’s a complete cop out and taako and lup are pissed at them (luc is toted around on lup’s lap as the only beloved)

there’s a constant fear of entering the kitchen because whatever twin that is working in the kitchen will often require a kiss for access to the which,, dissolves to make outs or more,

there isn’t a single clean and pure surface by cycle 10 

there’s a lot of uncomfortable fisting jokes because no one knows if it’s true or not who has . been . fisted. (hint: only one of them)

the bonds between them get very very strong after a while because after so much trauma they just need each other, they’ve seen each other die and they love each other so much it just hurts so much to see each other hurting

magnus loves sitting on lup’s lap

magnus ends up having a huge fling one cycle with a local girl and it ends in him getting betrayed because he was just a big meat bag and she needed him to kill someone (and uses blood magic to make him) and it’s . bad. but thankfully in the next cycle he has the support of them and it’s a huge character growth thing for him

people bake favors for the twins so. much. to try and gain favor and just to do something nice. mags and lucretia often team up to make something nice for lup. 

and vice versa the twins are known for gifting pies as apologies

mags has a huge habit of telling everyone that they’re the most beautiful people he’s ever met and that he loves them dearly and he wants them to know how much he treasures them and it’s so fucking earnest and beautiful that they all make a pact to love him deeply

no one sleeps alone after a certain point, the trauma of everything just gets to them and they need the comfort, some nights involve the main five all together

someone ask me about the time mags and lup find barry’s dildo 

there’s a lot of kissing, platonic and otherwise, it just becomes so normal to kiss each other on the foreheads and lucretia is notorious for kissing on the shoulder, just a quick peck

magnus has a habit of holding someone’s hand and bring their hand up to his mouth to kiss it

magnus has bandanas that each one of them wear as almost “tokens” of “courting” him

lup wears her in a ponytail or around her head, taako does the same plus around his thigh or ankle, barry wears his around his neck arm or forehead, it takes a bit of coercing but eventually lucretia takes one despite being a “only friends lover” and wears it on her ankle 

barry is the best at dancing and it drives all of them crazy 

there’s a lot of bets and competitions that go around and i couldn’t name them all but the one me and ssd were talking about recently was who can get mags off the quickest so Yeah

i uh, could go on but yeah you get the idea, i really like the polyblaster, basically they’re all very intimate and close to each other regardless of romantic or not
