2nd person POV gets SUCH an undeservedly bad rap. Homestuck is (& I say this as a former Homestuck) an iffy use of the narration style IMO, but there are some great examples of how it can be a super effective tool to shape a narrative. Disco Elysium comes to mind, as does Harrow the Ninth. I personally use 2nd Person in a personal project for a protag who’s a relentlessly unreliable narrator & it allows me to balance showing what is *actually* happening and what the protagonist’s own delusions or skewed perceptions of events + their own thoughts/feelings are. At the end of the day it’s just a storytelling device that has a plethora of varied, extremely valid uses, and anyone who gives you shit for using it to achieve the correct tone and voice for the story you’re trying to tell can choke

When I was first listening to the Magnus Archives, I honestly thought the reason that Michael was referring to Jon as "Archivist" was because he was mixing him up with Gertrude.

And now, knowing what I know about his relationship with Gertrude, what she did to him, and what he represents now - madness, confusion, hallucinations, the idea that your mind is lying to you - I wonder...

When Michael speaks to Jon, does he see a double image? Does he get quick flashes of Gertrude in between blinks? When he sees Jon talking, does he sometimes hear Gertrude's voice coming out of Jon's mouth instead?

so ive been thinking about this au ive wanted to make inspired by the incredible pogd au by @beluvbug for a while !!

this is a very self indulgent au based on pinkie dealing with the conflict of wanting to be taken seriously while also playing themselves down constantly as a way to please others, especially when it come to their identity as nonbinary and their disabilities

i was going to make the first post about this au a little comic but ironically the disabilities have made that a bit hard and i wanted to post something for it
