I appreciate wanting sojiro to be the super supportive dad to all of akira’s romantic ventures (and in every other case he would be) however one aspect of shuake I really truly believe in is that everyone around would absolutely think akira is crazy for still liking akechi romantically for the first couple months. Especially sojiro

Akira would tell him they’re dating and sojiro would get quiet for a moment and mutter “Of all people? That yusuke is such a nice boy… or ann…..” under his breath and akira would ask what he just said and he’d shake his head and say that it doesn’t matter as long as he’s happy. Except it does. Obviously he’d warm up eventually but the first few times akechi comes by afterwards he is very careful not to speak too sinisterly because he’s distinctly aware that he’s being actively evaluated for his boyfriend benefits by the middle aged man behind the counter

This is me when I think about how kid Akechi probably had to teach himself how to ride a bike because he had no parents to help him... imagine that tiny kid struggling to balance and getting scrapes on his knees because no one was there to catch him when he fell....
