ohhhhh also also i wanna talk a bit about the rebellion trio + scar i've got going and their model specifications because i really liked writing these little details!!!
Pearl: MN-0015, was one of the earliest model of household/maid androids available. they faced a massive recall after users reported a mirage of errors and glitches, the MN line not at all ready for market release when they went to sale. Pearl survived (and deviated) because she was thrown out a few months before the recall was made, not because she was inherently defective, but because her owners found a more advanced replacement android.
Doc: DM-7700, DM was a line of engineering androids. he used to work in the central CyberLife tower as a beta tester, finding the basic, but overwhelming flaws and correcting them so that the human engineers could focus on the bigger problems. he deviated after seeing countless of the androids he personally repaired be scrapped for parts because their technology was already "outdated", making all his effort for nothing.
Ren: RD-4157, he was built to be a household android like Pearl, but was bought for the express purpose of illegal experimentation and modification (think a zlatko type situation.) the modifications done to him were to test how sensitive you could make an android's senses, and he was given a wolf aesthetic (ears + used to have a tail) for added degradation of his character. he used to suffer from countless headaches from overpowering scents, sounds and textures, but Doc has since lowered his sensitivity to a more manageable level. he deviated after attacking his owner in a freak accident, when the man tried to pull out his teeth in exchange for fangs.
Scar: GT-2319, a prototype therapist/emotional support android. he comes with several different therapy programs downloaded to attend to virtually any patient, and comes equipped to handle basic medical emergencies the way a nurse would. his coded personality is to be warm, caring, and empathetic, but has minor issues of being forgetful, poor balance calibrations, and has a mischievous streak.
Scar didn't deviate by choice, it was scared into him.
-☾
I love their backstories.. I wanna hold Ren and protect him at all costs

4.04 House Divided
Spoilers incoming!
The Svetlana Situation
Svetlana: She definitely messed up but the punishment from the Russians would be far too severe for her crime. We’ve already seen how Sergei was treated. She looked rightfully terrified. I’m not sure how India would work as a punished party but it seems to be a better option than her being right under the thumb of a vengeful uncle. Although I’m guessing that the Russians finding out that they were the ones who caused the Kronos mission failure helped her.
Dani: Poor Dani having to deal with all this bullshit. She handled it like the best way she could. She had to keep Happy Valley running, not only keep their Russian counterparts continue cooperating but also provide a satisfactory punishment to keep everyone (Russians, US, Helios workers) involved happy. It was a terrible position to be put into. But she showed how much she thinks about her people by not throwing Svetlana to the wolves immediately. She had been stuck at Star City before with no word of what was going on, she knows how terrifying it feels.
Ed: Ed did what he always does, get blinded by his feelings of the people he cares about. He has never been a fan of the politics and red tape of things. He’s a good commander for a short term mission but not a long term one, definitely not of a base. But I imagine from his POV, this is yet another person he has let down, yet another person he couldn’t protect, another person he lost. It’s an ever growing list and it’s a heartbreaking one. The way he reacts rings true to someone who is trying to protect what little he has, especially someone in later stages. I have a hard time watching this man cry.
(Side note) Ed and Dani: I love this relationship so watching them argue was painful. But Dani calling Ed out was needed and fair especially when it came to Danny. I wish she had said what happened to him because I have to know. Interestingly Ed absolved himself of having anything to do with whatever it was. Still, at the end of the day Dani did want to be there for Ed. Also Krys and Joel having worked so long together are able to play off each other beautifully.
Sam: This us vs them sentiment of hers definitely jumped up after Parker died. And this incident probably brought it all back up. She’s probably going to be the driving force behind and uprising. I do commend her for going to Dani and talking to her but it’s clear that her sentiments isn’t going anywhere soon.
Hobson: It’s the first time we really see him this season. It’s also the first time we see him lose his usual upbeat persona that he tries to present. Feels like a man who knows his out of his depth but is just trucking on. But he backed Dani up (not that he could do much since she’s on Mars) so points to him.
Roscosmos
Irina: She’s definitely a going to be a challenge to the US. Not surprised that she told Hobson that Vasily’s familial connection had nothing to do with the repercussion Svetlana’s, then turn around and say the opposite to the board. Her knowing Sergei was expected.
Margo: Watching Margo having to sit quietly at the sidelines during the meeting is sad especially seeing where she was. But a space agency is definitely her place. Her mind is still as sharp as ever it was good to watch her work. Really thought she might pop up somewhere in the background of Irina’s pictures. There’s still time. I’m still afraid for her and want her out of Russia.
Kirill: His dismissal of Margo last time makes so much more sense now. He knew that Margo could easily find out what he’s trying to cover up. I knew as soon as the report was brought up he was going to try to pin the blame on Ed allowing the EVA. Except that was not the problem was it? The problem started when the equipment failed.
Tatyana: I hope we see more of her. I feel like Margo would be a better mentor than Kirill.
Black market
Ilya: He’s not wrong when he said expending the market would just invite more trouble. Keeping the tight lid on this makes it sustainable. More people knowing just means that there are more mouths that can open. I wonder if Ed’s instruction to do a security sweep will cause his operation to be discovered.
Miles: He is going in too hard, too fast. He was damn lucky that suit didn’t puncture or break when he fell. And that Rich came looking for him and Sam actually came to his rescue. Also are we going to see something between Sam and Miles?? What’s with this show and cheating partners?
Rich: Pretty much the only level headed person in that group. Understanding that Vasily was an ass but that Svetlana shouldn’t have pushed him. Gimme more Rich.
Other thoughts:
- Mayakovsky! That was such a sweet moment between him and Dani. “Not worse than what we’ve been through” I’ll say it again, I love the bond between those who stayed behind. It goes beyond their respective countries. I want so much more of them.
- I honestly didn’t expect to see Will again but I’m glad that we do. I really would like them to continue being players on the show.
- They call the space centre CSC for short because Cobb. 🥲
- What are Koreans doing that they need to smuggle in fungal cream? But hey, more customers for Ilya and Miles.
- Wtf are the US not using the metric system when sending over requirements for the clamps? Literally everyone in that M7 charter uses the metric system and they decide to just go nah?
- If Svetlana’s back on Earth who will Ed give the ‘blaze of glory’ speech to? Because it kinda looks like Kelly to me. But it’s just the back of the head so I can’t be sure. Also that would mean Kelly will go to Mars.
- Just putting it out there that Svetlana was born in 1971, 5 years after Kelly. You know what Ed was doing in 1971? Turning 40. Finding ice on the moon. Writing 8 year old Shane’s name on the moon.

Racism and economic inequality have predisposed black workers to be most hurt by coronavirus pandemic | Economic Policy Institute
A new report by director of EPI’s Program on Race, Ethnicity, and the Economy Valerie Wilson and senior economist Elise Gould explores how racial and economic inequality have left many black workers with few good options for protecting both their health and economic well-being during the coronavirus pandemic. Persistent racial disparities in health status, access to health care, wealth, employment, wages, housing, income, and poverty all contribute to greater susceptibility to the virus—both economically and physically.
The authors explain there are three main groups of workers in the COVID-19 economy: those who have lost their jobs and face economic insecurity, those who are essential and face health insecurity, and those who are able to continue working from the safety of their homes. Black workers are least likely to be in that last group, with more economic and health security.
As of April, less than half of the adult black population was employed. The black unemployment rate, even in the tightest of labor markets, remains significantly higher than the white unemployment rate. As of the latest data, the black unemployment rate is 16.7%, compared with a white unemployment rate of 14.2%.
While black workers make up about one in nine workers overall, they make up about one in six of all front-line industry workers. They are disproportionately represented in employment in grocery, convenience, and drug stores, public transit, trucking, warehouse, and postal service, health care, and child care and social services. While, in the near-term, this protects them from job loss, it exposes them to greater likelihood of contracting COVID-19 while performing their jobs. Fewer than one in five black workers in the pre-pandemic economy were able to work from home.
“As workers across the country lose their jobs in record numbers, the devastation of those job losses is magnified for black workers and their families,” said Gould. “Furthermore, black workers are more likely to be found on the front lines. They are doing essential work every day, while being at risk of being exposed to the virus. They deserve to be paid adequately, provided personal protective equipment, paid sick days, and health care, a safe workplace, and a union to advocate for them.”
The report explains that black workers are less able to weather such a storm because a long history of racial exclusion, discrimination, and inequality have resulted in fewer earners in their families, lower incomes, and lower liquid wealth than white workers. Overall, white families hold, on average more than five times as much liquid assets as black families do ($49,529 vs. $8,762.) In 2018, median household income for white households was 70% higher than for black households ($70,642 vs. $41,692).
Black Americans’ share of those who have died from COVID-19 nationally is nearly double their share of the U.S. population. They also experience preexisting health conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and diabetes, which are associated with greater risk of death from the coronavirus at higher rates than white Americans. Black workers are also 60% more likely to be uninsured than white workers. This is likely an additional contributing factor to the disparity in chronic illnesses, and it also might result in uninsured workers waiting longer to seek care for suspected coronavirus symptoms.
“The global impact of COVID-19, both in lives lost and economic devastation, is likely to leave a lasting mark for years to come,” said Wilson. “The best path forward requires that the painful lessons learned during this crisis better prepare us for the next one. If we are to avoid the needlessly heavy burden born by African Americans during the next economic or public health crisis, preparation must include plans to address long-standing underlying racial disparities in economic and health outcomes.”

Overview of SME Lending Software: Features and Functionalities
Tumblr media
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of many economies around the world, but they often face significant challenges in accessing the capital needed for growth and sustainability. To address these challenges, financial technology has evolved, leading to the development of specialized SME lending software. This software streamlines the lending process, making it faster, more efficient, and more accessible for SMEs. In this article, we will explore the key features and functionalities of SME lending software and how they benefit both lenders and small businesses.
Automated Loan Processing
One of the core features of SME lending software is automated loan processing. This technology uses algorithms to automate various steps in the loan application process, such as data entry, document verification, and initial screening of applicants. By automating these processes, lenders can reduce the time and labor traditionally required to process loans, resulting in faster decision-making and improved customer satisfaction. Automation also reduces human error and ensures a consistent application process for all borrowers.
Advanced Credit Scoring Models
Traditional credit scoring methods can be limiting and often fail to capture the full picture of an SME's creditworthiness. SME lending software incorporates advanced credit scoring models that use a broader range of data points, including real-time cash flow analysis, social media activity, and other non-traditional data. These models provide a more comprehensive and accurate assessment of an SME's financial health and potential for growth. By leveraging machine learning, these systems continually improve their accuracy, helping lenders make better-informed lending decisions.
Risk Assessment Tools
Risk management is crucial in lending, and SME lending software comes equipped with sophisticated risk assessment tools. These tools analyze historical data and market trends to forecast potential risks associated with loan applicants. They can predict the likelihood of default based on various economic scenarios, helping lenders mitigate risk and tailor loan offerings based on risk profiles. This not only protects the lender but also ensures that SMEs are not overburdened with debt they cannot afford.
Seamless Integration Capabilities
Integration with existing banking systems and third-party applications is another significant feature of SME lending software. This capability ensures that lenders can easily connect their lending platform with other financial systems, such as accounting software, CRM systems, and ERP solutions. Seamless integration helps in aggregating data from various sources, providing a unified view of the borrower’s information, which is essential for thorough due diligence and continuous monitoring of the loan’s performance.
Regulatory Compliance
Compliance with financial regulations is a critical concern for lenders. SME lending software supports compliance by automating the generation of reports required by regulatory bodies and maintaining an audit trail of all transactions. The software ensures that all loan processes adhere to industry standards and regulations, such as Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) directives. This not only helps in avoiding legal issues but also builds trust with customers and regulatory authorities.
Enhanced Customer Experience
Finally, SME lending software significantly enhances the borrower's experience. With online application capabilities, intuitive interfaces, and quick processing times, SMEs can access financial services with ease and without the need for visiting physical bank branches. Additionally, many SME lending platforms offer personalized dashboards where borrowers can track their loan status, manage repayments, and interact with customer service.
Conclusion
SME lending software is transforming the landscape of financial services by providing advanced, efficient, and user-friendly solutions for both lenders and small businesses. Through automated loan processing, advanced credit scoring, risk assessment tools, seamless integration, regulatory compliance, and an enhanced customer experience, these platforms are not just simplifying access to capital but are also contributing to the growth and success of SMEs globally. As technology continues to evolve, the potential of SME lending software to support economic development and entrepreneurship is enormous, making it a critical tool in the arsenal of modern financial institutions.
