Done with my first week on the keto diet. 🌸 . . Breakfast of avocado, egg, cheese and bacon. 🌸 . . Brunch was 3 tablespoons of raw almonds. 🌸 . . Lunch was keto meat pizza made up of a quarter pound beef patty, cheddar cheese, garlic and spinach. 🌸 . . Dinner was chicken with Brussels sprouts and bacon with lemon juice. 🌸 . . It is a bit of work, but it has been rewarding and worth it. I haven’t had a bite of sweets or carbs all week and I’m feeling good. And I can’t believe I’m at my lowest weight in the last 18 months, and closer to my regular weight. My goal is to go below that by just a few. My name is Robin & I’ve been obsessed with the world of fitness & nutrition since losing 25lbs in my late teens thru proper diet & exercise. I became infatuated with nutrition’s role in disease as I saw my Type 2 Diabetic step father deal with the daily struggles that came with the disease. Seeing my mom’s medication pantry increase in size as her age increased also pushed me to question why handfuls of pills intended to treat symptoms of disease were now the norm rather than treating the problem itself.
