naturally sirius plays electric guitar there's no way he could NOT play electric guitar. however he is also a classically trained singer. this made him a very welcome addition to the marauders because they were in desperate need of a lead singer who could surpass 'decent'

#peter has little to no breath control and remus cannot sing words in front of an audience looking at him #like the words just. spontaneously disappear from his mind #and james is like.......... fine #so he was doing the lead singing #(as well as the vast vast majority of the singing in general)#but his true passion is SHREDDING #so they were looking for a singer capable of playing rhythm guitar #and then BAM. SIRIUS BLACK.#musician au #admittedly at first the marauders WERE a tad skeptical because. all of sirius's training is in classical technique #but james believed in him #and also sirius knew what he was doing
