Part 2: Bottoms

After... oh god, lets not look at the dates okay? :') After a WHILE. (it's been almost a year I'm so sorry.) I have TF Separates available in the Pear Morph Project.~ This post has the Bottoms previewed, but the link goes to both downloads in one zip. The Top Previews are here.

please note, you need at least one of each (bottom and tops) to have them work properly. They'll show up just fine, but the fat morph is different enough that it WILL have gaps with other fatmorphs.

These separates include fat morphs only, no pregmorphs for the teenagers, sorry. I rarely have teen pregnancy in my game, so I didn't care enough to do them.

Also noted, the tf-naked meshes. The tftopnaked mesh is the mesh used for the tank tops shown in the preview. The tfbottom mesh is actually not used in any of the default clothing BUT you will need it if you wish for your fat sims to show this morph properly when naked (ie: showering). it also will affect any recolors using the tfbottomnaked mesh (for example, Epi's bottom only underwear and briefs). Please note, that other categories (formal,etc) will not be accessible through CAS or BS, but should be available through the closet after purchased (or if you have separatesforall mod by LazyDuchess.) Also in the same context, tops listed as sleep and underwear will only be available if you have custom bottoms that are also set that way, as none of the default bottoms I have here are set to either category.

This is an new default. original outfit by Deedee. Morphs are mine, and these are set to Everyday and Outerwear.

tfbottomShorts:

This is a new default. there isn't a custom version, cause I really only made these for this. The textures for the shorts are from these, and the shoes are the H&M paisley patterned converses. I'm hoping to eventually make these custom. Pearmorphs, and set only to Everyday.

tfbottomShortscuffsandals:

This is a mesh only default. it replaces only the mesh, and any texture defaults will pick up the new mesh. with no other texture default it will show the original vanilla textures. They are based on Rudhira's mesh edits here. so they have the H&M converse shoes. I've added my morphs, and They are set only to Everyday. The previews show Lottie's texture replacements here.

tfbottomShortshorts:

This is a new default. The original outfit is by Deedee. Other versions of these shorts with different shoes have been made into defaults before, but these ones I didn't see. Has my morphs, and is set to Everyday only.

tfbottomSkirt:

Original default by Lemonlion. I only added my morphs. There is also a reasonable possibility I switched out some textures for other colors from the original custom skirts. Set to Everyday only.

tfbottomSkirtuboots:

This is a new default. the original skirt is by Deedee. My morphs added. It is set to Everyday, Formal, and Outerwear (due to the tights.)

tfbottomSlackheels:

This is a new default. The original pants are by Deedee. Pearmorph added, and set to Everyday and Formal.

This is a mesh only default. it replaces only the mesh, and any texture defaults will pick up the new mesh. with no other texture default it will show the original vanilla textures.

tftopJeansjacket:

This is a partial default. it replaces only the mesh and the property set, and will pick up any texture defaults. With no other texture default it will show the original vanilla textures. The property set is replaced to allow use of this as an Outerwear option as well. feel free to delete those from the default if you don't want them as outerwear. Shown on preview with Artemida's texture defaults here.

These are the same old images from the first info post, but don't be fooled. this is a new post, because I finally edited the base meshes to a place where I'm happy sharing them as WSOs for others who want to use them. I've included links at the bottom.

A few people mentioned wanting these morphs available, and @withlovefromsimtown informed me that making a morph WSO is quite easy, so here we are!~

Full disclosure, I don't really use WSOs for morphs, cause I tend to prefer doing them by hand, so I haven't tested these extensively. They do work though. I just can't promise how well they work.

I sorta loathe the ts2 fat morph....

which has apparently become a project of it's own.

so I mentioned this vaguely somewhere, but thought I should make a generalize post about it. Mainly cause it'll probably affect any cc I make in the future so... there's that.

Anyway.... because I've spent the last few months sorta adding fat morphs to some of my really old clothing, I quickly realized that I didn't have to deal with EA's "fat" morph. There is literally nothing stopping me from just... making it look better/how I want it to.

Anyways, long story short, I'm picky. There are a decent amount of nice bodyshapes out there, and while I like them, I don't like having multiples of the same outfit (it's the same reason I ended up going with Sunshine hair.) I like sticking to the game's original setup, which in the case of fit states, is unfortunately limited.

I also spend most of my time posing and doing story posts, so I'm not a fan of the much larger bodyshapes, even though I love them in theory.... because they clip a ton, and make more work for me later. So I wanted something that I liked 🤔 but also didn't fuck with the in-game animations too much.

Also, I just sorta like the pear-shaped chunky body type (it's not at all cause it resembles mine lmao nope.... not at all.)

anyways, idk if anyone is even still reading this, but uh... yeah.

I guess this is me, introducing the "sorta chunky, sorta pear-shaped, 'still not really a fat morph' in my opinion because game limitations" bodyshape/fatmorph? (Or, in short cause filename size 'pfate pearshape'.)

At least as an idea. idk if anyone is at all interested in this. but if they are, I can share whatever people want about it/resources for it? idk it's not like I have WSOs cause I honestly don't know how to use them let alone make them. I tend to just make my morphs by hand.

But on a technical note, I think I have most of the Digi Marvine feet naked meshes defaults changed to this, and some other stuff too. mainly Club Crimson stuff, because frankly, I'm still using the files I had from 2012 so none of them had morphs at all (though I'm sure someone somewhere HAS added morphs to them.)

[[ TL;DR is this: I felt like I needed to make a post about it, cause some of the stuff I'm gonna be sharing coming up has fat-morphs based on this. things like defaults that either didn't have morphs so I added them, or they had morphs but I edited them anyways because I was defaulting them with specific sims in mind (like Jorah, Alex or Ginevra) and I wanted a post that I could link back to for reference on those posts. ]]

in any case, if I make a default and change the morphs from ones that already exist, and you WANT the defaults with the original morphs, that's very easy to switch out and I will gladly do it if you ask lol. otherwise I'll probably edit things as I see fit since uhm. well I make cc 99.9% for myself 😂😅

CU body changed the least from the original fat-morph, then the elder femme frame, I would say? cause the elder frame already had a sort of pear shape (that sorta inspired the other femme ages.) the others are varying degrees of change, with AM being the strongest change by far.

Teen masc tops with pear morphs. While doing these, I learned there’s not that many separates for teens. Anyways, unfortunately most of these are not mesh only, because I actively dislike all the boys base game clothing. :’)

This is the only MESH ONLY default in this set. it will take on any texture defaults you might have. The preview image has none, and those are just vanilla textures. This also affects the nude state for sims (like when they go to take a shower.) make sure you pick up the tmbottomnaked mesh only default from the bottoms post.

As per usual with tops that overlap, sometimes there is clipping, it's unavoidable in both my morphs as well as the vanilla ones. (and sometimes even the thin morphs. alas. They're not too bad though.

This is the first post for probably what amounts to months of work. But AM is where I decided to start seriously, so here we are. Learn more about this project here.

Anyways, this post is a full set of default replacements for ALL the AM bottoms (a top set will be coming shortly~) They’re separate though, so you can pick and choose, no worries. Please note, since these morphs are heavily edited, the morphs won't work with the regular fat-morph. I mean, they won't like... crash, but they'll have huge gaps. I recommend if you want some of these, pick some of the tops from the next post too. Otherwise they'll essentially be useless.

Essentially what I've done is taken the defaults I was already using (if I was) and edited the meshes. For ones I don't use defaults, I've added Mesh-Only replacements (which means they will work with any textures replacements that may be available.)

This time I have all the pjs, swimwear, and undies for AM, so between these and the separates, at least your sims can have a full closet. I've Also included (but not pictured) mesh only packages for AMBody Naked, and AMBody Saunatowel as well.

AMBody Bathrobe

Bathrobe is a complete default, I've defaulted this with @applewatersugar's 4t2 Silk Robe. I've used the blue, and black recolors, as well as made a quick red recolor that matches the blue shown above, only in crimson instead.

AMBody PajamasLong

PajamasLong is a basic default. it includes a mesh replacement, as well as a very basic texture replacement in it as well. this is only because the textures conflict with marvine feet. The texture files shouldn't really affect repo'd clothing, as all I needed to remove were the textures for the backfaces at the bottom of the shirt. but it might. (but also if you have repo'd versions of these lemme know and I'm more than likely to edit those as well since I love these pajamas) Please note, this may (probably will) affect any recolors you have of this. if your sims suddenly have weird patterned feet on this, the texture will need to be edited. (shoot me a request if you want, but it may take me a while to get to it.)

PjTanktop (labeled wrong on image) is a mesh only default. This will take on the textures of the vanilla game, or if you have them, is compatible with any texture replacements. The preview is the vanilla textures.

Swimsuit Tropical is a mesh only default. This will take on the textures of the vanilla game, or if you have them, is compatible with any texture replacements. The preview is the vanilla textures.

AMBody RogerTattooTrunks

Roger Trunks is a basic default. it includes a mesh replacement, as well as a very basic texture replacement in it as well. this is only because the textures conflict with marvine feet. The texture files will affect repo'd clothing, at least if they have sandals like the original. if they have bare feet, they will not. This being said, I've also included the TMbody Mesh only replacement, as the TM version is repo'd to these to begin with. it is in a separate package file, so if you have a different default for the TM version of these, you don't need to have it, but I would highly recommend downloading it as well if you use the vanilla teen version of these shorts, as otherwise the sandal's texture will be a bit messed up.

ahhh I'm so glad! <3

the struggle for body representation in this game is rough 😩 I dislike the vanilla fat-morph so severely, because frankly, same. I certainly don't look like whatever the game thinks is "fat." There are limitations to ts2, so I understand why they only did two morphs and why they didn't make them properly thick (clipping is a bitch, even with this morph sometimes...), but I always felt like there could be more of a distinction between the two.

Hence, pearmorph project. It's worth it to have a little bit of clipping to have a little more representation I think! ^-^

I'm so happy people do like it and use it though!

I am *slowly* working through the AF separate defaults as well, so hopefully I'll be able to post those soon. ;-;

Transcript under the cut for people who prefer text based tutorials

So, I’ve created a default and edited the mesh so that it includes my morphs… but you either already have the outfit as a custom set, or you plan on downloading it that way from the original creator…. In short, you don’t want it as a default replacement. But you do want to use my morphs! Luckily moving my edited mesh over to the original is very simple in SimPE. 

Step 1: Open my file in SimPE:

Open SimPE:  

Click Open…

Find my file, and open it. 

Now, Click on GMDC in the Resource Tree. 

Find the listed GMDC data in the Resource List. 

Right-click the GMDC line. 

Click Extract. 

Save this in a place you’ll be able to find. Rename it if you want. It doesn’t matter. 

Close my file.

Step 2: The file you want to replace.

Find the original outfit mesh and open it in SimPE.  

Find the GMDC in the Resource Tree/List once more. 

Now, as an added step, copy the “Filename” in the Plugin view. (this may end up being unnecessary in a lot of cases, but just in case, copy and paste it into a notepad.)

Go back up, and right-click the GMDC in the Resource List. 

This time, choose Replace.

Locate the SimPE file you extracted in step 1 and click Open. 

Double check the “Filename:” in the plugin view. If it’s changed from what you copied into a notepage, paste the filename from there into SimPE.. (again, just in case it’s different. It might stay the same in most cases.) 

Click Commit. 

Save. I like to save as, and change the filename, just in case it gets messed up. 

Test in bodyshop. You should have my fatmorph for that item now~

slowly working on editing the defaults I have for my new morphs. 👀 I've got most of the AM Bottoms done completely, because you know, I started with the things that are more complicated why? but can't really release them without any tops, now can I? Well I could, but that would be inconvenient to not be able to use anything with them.

some of them are existing defaults that I've edited the meshes for, some are just mesh replacements (specifically some of the HM jeans and the NL jeans with the boxers) cause I actually like those vanilla options.

Hello’ I wanted to know if you’ll ever have WSO of your fat morph and pear shape. I love for them to have more then a muffin top when fat 😂😂 and that pear is so cute. I’m working on a bunch of default for different clothes. Male and Female.

first of all, I am so, so glad you and others like my fat morph ^^ it's something I've been thinking about for literally years, so it's nice that others also like it!

as for WSOs... I wouldn't mind that being a thing, but I unfortunately have no idea how to make them! :( I don't even know how to use them really haha.... I only use the WSOs to add bones to things, I do all the fatmorphs by hand. But if someone else wanted to make a WSO for it, I'm totally up for giving them anything that's needed to do so 🤔😊
