The National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is a public trust established in 2006 by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the regulator of the securities markets in India. The institute carries out a wide range of capacity building activities at various levels aimed at enhancing the quality standards of and increase the participation in the securities markets.
The institute’s six schools of excellence and the National Center for Financial Education works in synergy towards professionalized securities markets.

Admission Process:
PGDM (SM) is an AICTE approved two-year post-graduate diploma programme (equivalent to MBA) where the students get exposure to varied subjects and verticals of securities markets including Economics, Financial Statement Analysis, Corporate Finance, Portfolio Management, Equity Valuation, Fixed Income Securities, Derivatives & Risk Management, Investment Banking, Mutual Funds, and Wealth Management, benchmarked with the best and contemporary texts. PGDM (SM) was first launched in 2017. Currently, the first batch is undergoing its final term.
The carefully crafted curriculum, along with applications based teaching pedagogy and industry internship, serves as a strong foundation for further grooming and growth into various career paths in securities markets. PGDM (SM) students are positioned to take up a wide range of roles and responsibilities, such as Analysts, Investment Managers, Investment Bankers, Treasury Managers, Risk Managers, Compliance Officers, Financial Planners, Wealth Managers, etc.
Eligibility Criteria:
Academic Qualification:
Graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks from a University recognised by UGC or equivalent under 10+2+3 stream. Provisional admission will be granted to those in the final year of graduation and subject to confirmation of this criterion.
Age:
There is no age limit for pursuing PGDM (SM). However, applicants less than 28 years of age as on August 01, 2019 would be preferred.
Appearance in Competitive Examinations:
The candidates are required to have qualified in any one of the six all India Common Admission Tests i.e. CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, GMAT or MH-CET (Management) in Maharashtra and to submit a valid test score.
The decision of the Selection Committee of NISM on cut-off scores for selection will be final in this regard.
Selection Procedure:
It shall be based on the scores obtained in the common entrance test, weightage for educational qualifications, work experience, essay/test, GD, interview etc.

Fees: 11.75 Lakhs
Exams Accepted: CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, GMAT, MH-CET
Course Name: Post Graduate Programme in Securities Markets (PGPSM)
Duration: 1 year
Fees: 6.75 Lakhs
Placement Highlights:
The NISM campus placement process for the PGPSM program is essentially a student-driven process with the faculty team supporting the student placement committee team with data, negotiation of salary, providing an understanding about the roles and profiles, coordinating with the prospective employers for results and preparing the students for interviews. We have a batch of 112 students enrolled for the PGPSM 2017-18 batch who are eligible for placements. As of 15th March 2018, more than 80% of the batch has been placed with 10 students opting out of placement, and 80 students placed through the campus placement process.
Students based on their performance in an interview, past experience and past qualifications, got compensation package in a wide range with minimum fixed CTC of Rs. 3.6 lacs per annum to a maximum of 9.25 lac per annum. The weighted average fixed CTC for the batches of now is around Rs. 4.4 lac per annum. The fixed CTC announced for profiles related to dealing desk excludes performance-based variable pay and allowances offered by the company.
