Okay the subsitles gotten very confusing there. They are now talking about Rika (referred to as "Chisaki" in her previous stage name).
It's hard to capture via subtitles and screenshots, but Miyuu is aggressively agreeing with Keiko that their first impression of Rika was very different to their impression of Rika now (or by the time they were filming the bts talk.) lol
Keiko's gone really savage here, I feel like. XD
Miyuu was talking about how she had Rika had a lot of partner scenes together so they got close and talk about anything and everything.
Mew didn't get much mentioned except for this:
Mew felt lonely. lol

HAHAHAHAHA
Here we go, the one conversation I was waiting to blog about!
Everyone - even the cast confirms Ami's in love with Usagi - it's CANON! XD
LOL Keiko's reaction! Which is ironic. Did she realize at this point her character's behavior in the show suggests the same thing that Rei and Minako's relationship is romantically coded?

So restarting from where I left off last time, the first thing I get to see is an unused scene from Act 13... which personally really caught me off guard!
I haven't liveblogged rewatching PGSM since May, and my most recent liveblog was joining Miyuu's viewing party. And all I can think of is seeing Miyuu tearing up when Act 13 preview showed up at the end of watching Act 12 and she teared up, likely remembering Kubodera Akira. :'(
Jumping back into this from where I left off last time, the first thing I get to see is an unused scene from Act 13, which personally really caught me off guard. I haven't liveblogged rewatching PGSM since May, and my most recent liveblog session was joining Miyuu's viewing party. Seeing this, all I can think of is seeing Miyuu tearing up when Act 13 preview showed up at the end of watching Act 12 and she teared up, likely from remembering Kubodera Akira. :'(
Anyway, as I often do, I have many thoughts on unused scenes and the value they could've brought to the episode if left in or not.
For this scene, I'm actually supportive of it being removed! To have left it in would have been overkill on giving the same information we audience would have realized between watching the shopping scene and seaside scene between Usagi and Mamoru:
Reminding the audience Usagi's kindness and selflessness even with a random stranger.
Showing the audience Mamoru being moved by Usagi's action, and his inner turmoil on seeing Usagi's reaction could also apply to how Usagi may view him if she knew he also has some form of amnesia and he is Tuxedo Kamen.
And in fact, I think by having this scene being removed, it was a lot more entertaining for us to jump to the shopping scene where Usagi demands Mamoru to stop following her. lol Because it makes it less expected for us to see Mamoru and Usagi remain sticking together, even after leaving the mansion. lol
The one funny thing to note though is I find it hilarious how quick Usagi was to show kindness and consideration to a stranger (Shin) in this scene, yet shows such unfiltered contempt for Mamoru. The guy simply came out the door behind her, and she immediately turns around and asks "what's your problem?" This reminds me of the childish crush troupe that always gets used as an explanation for immature characters - y'know, the "oh the boy's pulling your hair/pulling pranks on you because they like you" deal when writing young children. However, in this case it seems like Usagi's the one doing the "hairpulling" so to speak, but lashing out verbally without realizing why she's so drawn to Mamoru. lol

lol you can tell the brain cells are leaving at this stage. How long have they actually been filming, and how much didn't make it to the cut???
Ms. Kitagawa? EXCUSE ME????? That's what you choose to highlight about Rei's part in the coming episodes? The episodes that's such a pivotal moment for your character and Ayaka's character?
Lord have mercy! XD
LMAO Miyuu cracked! Holy shit who would've thought Keiko is the chaotic one between these two????
NO! Keiko - "were we being too vague" is NOT the issue here? LOL
Miyuu's laughing so hard, I love they left the audio on even though it's time to show the credits and end the video. XD
Phew now we are done with the DVD Special, I can start of Act 17! (yeah, I'm just gonna keep going until dinner time/or I meet tumblr's post limit)
On a side note, this conclude's Keiko's part in the one-on-one guest talks led by Miyuu. When I realize the next DVD was going to be Mew's turn to do the talk, I remember vividly being SO upset and disappointed that we wouldn't get Ayaka or Keiko to talk about Act 17 and 18. Such a devastatingly missed opportunity! :'(

I am pretty sure the subtitles are wrong again.
Miyuu started off by saying "It's from this point onwards Rei and Minako are together, right?" and Keiko responds almost under her breath, "yeah, they start clashing."
LOL Miyuu just throws it for Keiko to do this part and Keiko looked so confused and caught off guard. Not to mention Miyuu totally gestured to the wrong camera! XDDD
I need to post the next part as a video because image really doesn't do it justice and I'm dead watching it.

I actually don't remember what they've talked about in this segment so now I'm hoping for something fun or juicy. XD
YESSS I LOVE THAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT AYAKA!!!! lol
So - I'm not going to screen-shot the next part, because I'm pretty sure the subtitles are wrong. I looked at other subtitles (including some in Chinese, which is often a bit more accurate in capturing the nuances in Japanese dialogue due to the connection between Chinese and Japanese languages), I am very glad to have found confirmation of what I believed they were actually saying in Japanese.
Miyuu was explaining how in the early episodes, Ayaka's scenes were usually filmed solo and at night, so the girls rarely get to interact. Even when Miyuu and Ayaka started working together (referring to Act 11 & 12), the interaction was still a bit formal at first. But after Keiko and Ayaka started filming together as a duo (referring to Act 17 & 18) Ayaka got pulled into more conversation with the larger group, and became more open with everyone through Keiko.
Regardless of the choice of word in the translation ("crazy" versus "open" or "casual")... LMAO KEIKO??? The first thing you say about Ayaka in response to Miyuu's explanation is to say Ayaka's finally became open? That's it????!!!! XDDDDD
I love Keiko and Ayaka's friendship so much! Even though in present days Ayaka and Miyuu are the best friends, I love that even in personal videos Ayaka posts on her Youtube channel, Keiko is often mentioned. In this video, Ayaka also mentioned that out of her 4 Senshi cast-mates, till this day she relies on Keiko the most. 🥹

Okay legit the food looks awesome! Shingo, stop complaining. I want your food. It's almost New Year anyway. lol
Oh... Oh my god????!!!! I forgot about this. Ikuko's gag! LOL For this alone, they should have left this scene in Act 14.
Shingo's definitely the kid that tries to be cool that would rather all sorts of festive traditions be demolished, while Usagi's the bubbly one that's excited to do every festive things. lol
I love this scene, so entertaining, and another good presentation of the Tsukino family's dynamic! Especially appreciate how this scene ends with Usagi and Shingo butt heading and staring daggers at each other.
I just had a semi-epiphany! Obviously, Ikuko's presented to be a highly entertaining and humorous character with very exaggerated actions and sometimes outrageous responses. I usually find such kind of characters annoying, but Ikuko has clearly made me fell in love with her in PGSM, and I think I figured out why... It's because of how intentionally designed Ikuko's exaggerated actions seems to be; it's chaos with reason, not messy and random.
While everyone acts on TV as they're meant to and look relatively natural, Ikuko's actress almost moves on-screen with exaggerations as if she's actually doing theatre work in front of an auditorium of the audience! As an example, her walking to the right and left around Usagi is something I've seen intentionally used in theatre to keep the audience's attention drawn and not bored during non-action heavy scenes.
I have to wonder if this is Moriwaka Kaori's own decision and adlib to make Ikuko like this, or if it was intentionally planned or staged from the start. I wish we knew.

LOL Keiko looked soooo confused and judging when she responding say the episode wasn't tear-jerking for her, and Miyuu was so caught off guard. Miyuu and Keiko's interaction is just so entertaining to watch given how different their personalities are. XD
I'm on Keiko's side. I'd say Act 14 is heartwarming, and maybe a bit heartwrenching to watch when observing Ami's interaction, but it's not really that sad? It's not necessarily a tragedy much, especially you know there is absolutely no way anything super bad's gonna happen with Usagi here. lol
