This single doodle I did of Phalar time ago trying to visualize him in my head bc I hate how non-descript he was in the book.

The drow script inscribed on the blade flickers and glows. It rises from the stone, hanging in the air in silent offering.

Phalar Aluve
A slender drow blade impales the stone before you, keeping a silent vigil. You recognise your goddess' rite - a warrior's sacrifice. Only blood, freely given, will honour the fallen. The drow script inscribed on the blade flickers and glows. It rises from the stone, hanging in the air in silent offering. A soft melody resounds through your head - Eilistraee's divine gratitude.
The Drow inscription on this blade appears to have been recently carved. It translates to:
'Though I have to leave you, I will dance forever in Eilistraee's Light.'

I just can't get over how Phalar just...wanishes into thin air?? Literally the last scene we get of him is him choking some wizard to death and after that he's never mentioned again.....babygirl where'd you go?

Osiris knows the concept of a blood sacrifice all too well... It's better not to think of why that may be.
The Drow inscription on this blade appears to have been recently carved. It translates to:
" Though I have to leave you, I will dance forever in Eilistraee's Light. "

Taking a million photos to send to my buddy who is making Phalar Aluve for me and I’m still stuck on whether the blade itself is gold or silver???

Wyll's dance scene finally triggered and...
Tumblr media
I didn't realize, but apparently Phalar Alive gives you a +1 to performance checks?? (that or the sword ships it)
Tumblr media
Despite not romancing Wyll, I've really been looking forward to this scene, as Ari really has been jonesing for more song and dance in camp. I'm also finding it absolutely adorable how both this and the Gale "weave date" has had her being an absolute goofy dork in these performance checks, and it utterly charming both of them.

The only bad part of all this?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THIS FACE WYLL MAKES BECAUSE I TURN AWAY BECAUSE WE'RE NOT DATING :( :( :( I'm sorry Wyll she just really wanted to dance, is that so bad?? I didn't mean to break his heart! Now I feel bad.
The irony is this triggered right after a really brutal ambush where Ari nearly got killed in the first round by an evil tree before getting to do a single action. Only through burning through her superior healing potions, sanctuary, all her lay on hands points, all of Shadowheart's healing spells, and three banishment scrolls did they survive the fight.
So she had a super rough day and getting to have a little lighthearted fun (before the whole, you know, heartbreak thing) is a nice little counterpoint to that near death experience.

Legends tell that among the band of adventurers that saved Faerûn was a pale rogue wielding two blades: one that sang to his companions, and another that tore at his enemies’ flesh with the ferocity of a king.

I love playing as a bard whose biggest problems up until BG3 were trying to get her songwriting recognised and that the cute lead vocalist didn't like her back and now she's trudging through the Shadowcursed Lands in her Chanel boots using Disguise Self to keep a full face of makeup intact having been assigned torch-carrying duty because she still can't be trusted with a weapon yet and NPCs are telling her things like "you look like you can handle yourself" and "you have a strong sense of justice about you" with a straight face and she's just like
👁️👄👁️💅 Moi??
