i'll always have affection for synthv, but i desired that old school vsynth crunch.... so i've been getting into openutau, and it's been so so SO much fun!! i love it a lot.
all of my covers are purely self-indulgent, but this one is even more so than usual. i practically leaped out of my seat in excitement seeing an instrumental for this song existed (much less such a fantastic one!!). i love a puzzle of flesh dearly, and i can credit this song with really getting me to properly seek out industrial music. voice synthesizers are a match made in heaven for the genre to me (i've listened to that one gumi cover of nin's "closer" a crazy number of times lol) so here we are!
original song by gary spinrad (for phantasmagoria: a puzzle of flesh) instrumental by DJriggsmeister (https://youtu.be/5jRea9zuITk) illustration, tuning, and mixing by me
ive been fascinated by phantasmagoria 2: a puzzle of flesh, which is not a perfect game and i think i love the idea of it way more than its actual result, but i also love when small enthusiastic low-budget teams come together to try to make something unique, colorful, gory, racy - it also totally just scratches a b-movie itch for me. anyways this is curtis the protagonist, notable for being the first bisexual protag in a video game (i mean, among other things LMAO)
I cannot comprehend how otherworldly hot paul stetler has become (curtis craig's actor in phantasmagoria 2.) yeah he was cute in the 90s when he was a zygote but he's 100x hotter now and legitimately one of the 5 most beautiful men I've seen in my life. it's like looking at lovecraftian architecture. my brain can't parse how gorgeous this man is
hey you gay little bitch ♦ ☆ for curtis <3 and alex
RUNS FACE FIRST INTO A NEARBY WALLokay lets do this
(these are all gonna be off the top of my head probably)
curtis

i think he has good handiwork and is bizarrely good at fixing stuff....like mostly old technology or machines or something. it would explain why he just casually carries screwdrivers around. he just also seems like the type!

this isnt off the top of my head i thought about this this morning. trevor was the first to come out to curtis in college bcs trevor trusted him the most. also i know im including trevor but its okay. and it made curtis very happy and surprised and i think made him feel a little better about himself in turn and also gave him hope even though...he never confessed until last minute...
alex

i truly think he loves music a lot. i think he likes noodling on keyboards and electric guitars and loves making up tunes he will never do anything with. i think he only made tim do the music for mh just bcs he didnt think he was good enough and thought tim was better inclined.

jay made alex feel a lot more confident about his writing and directing skills (including jay now sorry.) and i think jay had a big hand in influencing alex to actually make marble hornets in general. i imagine they both got really excited making it and were always happy when working on it, at least until the end of it...
What do you think Number Man would be doing if he hadn't joined Cauldron
Regular old 9-5 cubicle job analysing financial data until a series of grisly murders starts taking place in his office building and he is compelled to solve the mystery just so he can accurately calculate the firm's expenses and file taxes. There's bdsm involved somewhere
Crossfire is so funny to me bc the plot is "angels/demons are real and oh no i am one :/" BUT YOUR BEST FRIEND IS ALSO JUST. CASUALLY A MINOR DEITY WHOSE FATHER IS TRYING TO KILL THEM.
Completely UNRELATED to the angel/demon shit you got going on. Can u imagine. Just going "hey I think I'm an actual angel" & ur bff being like "ok cool. btw I'm a god and my dad is trying to kill me" INSANE
