THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE FANART OF PHASMA WITH HER NIECE FREY.
Featuring a little doodle of Phasma holding baby Frey. The person telling her to give someone else a turn to hold the baby is probably her brother Keldo.

I just finished reading Phasma, and Phasma had so much more set up to be the "spy" if there ever really needed to be one in the narrative of the sequel trilogy. She kills her former friends and family to join a more advantageous alliance not once, but twice. If she had lived through TLJ, and had determined that the FO was doomed to fail, she could have done it one third and final time.

First Order starship crews operate in three crew sections per department. Each standard day is divided into six four hour-long shifts, with each shift consisting of a designated team. This consistency creates a cooperative environment that fosters a sense of team camaraderie and unity. The immense innerworkings of a star destroyer require constant diligence for smooth performance. The ever mobile vessel requires 24-operation; hence the grave importance of smooth shift transitions. The four hour break-down was designed to omit burn out and keep the staff energized for full attentiveness and maximum efficiency. This, unfortunately does not always apply to commanding officers who often work extended shifts to ensure their department's success, especially during battles or times of crisis. Each department has its own commanding officers, followed by section and shift leads.
With a significantly smaller staff than it's predecessor, The Galactic Empire, the First Order relies heavily on the collaborative environment of each ship to ensure functionality. This synergetic culture is what sets the First Order apart from the Empire. For the sake of the organization's growth and survival, it was imperative that a strong sense of loyalty and companionship was instilled into the new generation at a young age. This tactic was implemented into the training and upbringing of both officers and stormtroopers. Yet, it does not account for the many of the older generation who are still accustom to the competitive environment of the empire.

♥ Larissa Weems ♥ (Wednesday, TV 2022)
on wednesdays we wear black (ongoing) -> a Morticia Addams/Larissa Weems Mean Girls!AU story that is currently on hiatus. needs to be reworked
little miss perfect -> a teenage Larissa Weems/Morticia Addams one-shot. dealing with internalised homophobia. angst with a happy ending.
push me gently (into love) (nsfw) -> two chapter Larissa x reader story in which the reader is a goth art teacher at Nevermore. fluffy, cozy, and sweet, featuring easily skippable smut. rom-com vibes. written for a lovely human being and i hope it continues to bring her joy.
particular (nsfw) -> Larissa Weems x (adult) Wednesday Addams, aka the fic that got me cancelled. rom-com with dark humour and some more mature themes, but still relatively light. sort of a coming-of-age story. author is considering making people take a reading comprehension test before being allowed to comment.
making do -> one-shot. angst, hurt/no comfort. past Larissa Weems/Morticia Addams. a character study of Larissa Weems. mentions sexual assault, deals with processing trauma.
pathetic (nsfw) -> part of kink!week. a short piece describing a toxic relationship. Larissa x reader, but nothing abut the reader is specified -- almost like their identity doesn't matter and they're just a plaything meant to pleasure their boss. featuring foot fetish. it's hotter than you think :)
inevitable (dead dove: do not eat) -> a very dark piece of fiction dealing with sexual assault and trauma. features horror elements. please, take the tags seriously, this isn't a light read.
♥ Lucifer Morningstar ♥ (The Sandman, TV 2022)
violet soul (nsfw) -> two chapters. one of my most popular Lucifer fics. Lucifer x reader. deals with the topic of selling one's soul to the devil. dark. features very filthy smut.
my ruin tastes so sweet (almost as sweet as your lips) -> a choose-your-own-adventure story with three possible endings, that explores what it means for an angel to fall. Lucifer x angel!reader.
our little dance (nsfw) -> Lucifer/Mazikeen. character/unconventional relationship study. explores neurodivergency. very sensual smut in the 2nd chapter.
kiss my sorrow away -> tooth-rottingly fluffy Lucifer/Mazikeen one-shot. Lucifer is being the most extra of drama queens, and Mazikeen cheers them up.
call the devil's name (nsfw) -> Lucifer/Mazikeen one-shot. very romantic. hot and tender smut. depicts love as devotion/religious experience.
belong (nsfw) -> dark Lucifer x reader one-shot. non-explicit non-con. explores the concept of free will after one sells their soul to the devil.
the secret (nsfw) -> last part of kink!week with a surprising twist at the end. Lucifer x Mazikeen... and a curious voyeur?
♥ Jane Murdstone ♥ (The Personal History of David Copperfield, 2019)
when the last restraint is gone (ongoing) (nsfw) -> an intense victorian romance between Jane Murdstone and her lady's maid, Laura. sort of in the style of Sarah Waters's historical romance novels. heavily influenced by Vita and Virginia's love letters. featuring a lot of sensually read victorian poetry and dirty, delicious smut. currently being edited/rewritten.
one and a half sugars (ongoing) -> modern!AU. Jane is an insipid accountant with very specific opinions about coffee, and reader is the only person who knows how to make it for her. fluffy rom-com vibes. will feature smut in later chapters.
don't look away (as i bare my soul to you) (nsfw) -> part of kink!week. dominatrix!Jane x reader. how healing is it for someone to see the worst parts of you and never avert their eyes? the kink in question is watersports and it's much tamer and more sensual than it sounds.
♥ Captain Phasma ♥ (Star Wars, sequel trilogy)
danger level - one (nsfw) -> filthy smut featuring the good ol' sex pollen trope. Phasma x fem!stormtrooper!reader. hot and a bit silly. straightforward and simple porn lol.
chrome and lipstick (nsfw) -> technically a Wednesday fandom crossover, but honestly you can read it without knowing anything about Wednesday except the fact that Larissa Weems is a person that exists. filthy smut (sensing a theme for fics featuring our beloved captain here? lol). non-con/dub-con, so read at your own risk!
easy prey (nsfw) -> part of kink!week. tentacle erotica, non-con. features glittery pink tentacles and a very pretty alien oc, if that spark(le)s your fancy.
♥ Jan Stevens ♥ (Flux Gourmet, 2022)
hazy (nsfw) -> Jan x reader smut, featuring the infamous egg aka oviposition kink. give it a go, it's not as weird as you think it is :)
beautiful (nsfw) -> a gift for a lovely tumblr mutual. Jan x reader fic exploring love, devotion, and body image. very smutty. featuring eggs because it's Jan and it has to :)
fill me (with your love) (nsfw) -> part of kink!week. Jan x fem!reader. a very sensual piece with disturbing erotic imagery. featuring alvinolagnia, food play and bloating fetish.
♥ Brienne of Tarth ♥ (Game of Thrones, TV 2011-2019)
so very chivalrous (and so completely oblivious) -> Brienne x princess!reader. very fluffy. Brienne is very good with a sword, but a bit oblivious in the matters of love. featuring good ol' lesbian yearning.
sweet dreams (nsfw) -> part of kink!week. brienne is injured in a heroic pursuit, and a lovely lady takes care of her while her injuries heal. kink of choice is erotic lactation. very fluffy and sweet.
♥ Miranda Hilmarson ♥ (Top of the Lake, TV 2013-2017)
...but we could be (nsfw) -> part of kink!week. Miranda Hilmarson x Robin Griffin. Miranda starred in a lesbian gangbang porn video and she is very proud of it. Robin thinks Miranda that's absolutely nuts and she definitely doesn't want to see it, thank you very much... except somehow she finds herself in Miranda's apartment, watching it. why is Miranda's shirt see-through? and why is she so nice to Robin while Robin is actively trying to push everyone away?

Wanted to talk about Archex and Finn and how I wish a novel had thrown the two ex-Stormtroopers together, and then remembered that almost no one seems to have read Phasma SO...
People should read the Phasma novel. It's terrific. Phasma gains so many layers, Archex is fascinating in his own right, Vi is cool, and we pretty much get Mad Max in Star Wars. It's also startlingly bleak for the setting, in a way that works and doesn't feel edge-chasing. Awesome book.

From the Force Awakens novelization
I love the fact that Phasma, who is 6'7 and built, is visibly intimidated by Kylo but Hux stands his ground.

I'm thinking, once again, about the Star Wars sequel trilogy and the incredible wasted potential of the characters. Specifically, I'm thinking about Rey and Poe as foils against Phasma and Hux.
Here, we have two men who were raised from birth as true believers in opposing causes, the only sons of heroes, who then far surpassed their parents in fame and influence. There are some hints of contrast, in that we see the stark differences in how they lead, but the films are almost maliciously committed to misunderstanding Poe as a character*, that I have to assume those moments are purely accidental.
Then there's Rey and Phasma, two women from baren, brutal worlds, with a single name and no legacy**, who survive and succeed based entirely on raw talent and relentless determination. Phasma is nominally set up as a contrast for Finn, but she ends up being an unsatisfying personal villain. Likewise, Rey is set in opposition to Kylo Ren, but that whole dynamic is so messy and loaded, without exploring any of the meaningful parallels and conflicts between them***.
There's also something to be said about contrasting sibling dynamics. With Rey and Poe, we get glimpses of a squabbling rivalry rooted in obvious affection, whereas Phasma and Hux are shown (in EU material) to have a conspiratorial closeness based on mutual respect and mutually assured destruction. Neither of these relationships is developed to full potential or used to develop the narrative or themes of the films.
The reliance on external knowledge to prop up the core films is a long-standing critique of Star Wars, and I wholeheartedly agree that the movies should be able to stand on their own. However, given the volume and emphasis on the extended universe, it's reasonable to expect at least some degree of consistency. In the case of these characters and others, though, the most interesting character development is either jarringly ignored or deliberately removed, as with a scene cut from The Last Jedi which tells more about Phasma in two minutes than the rest of her screen time combined. There's plenty of discussion to be had about what's actually in the films, but I think the great tragedy of the sequel trilogy is what could have been there and isn't.
Footnotes and reading recs under the cut.
*My rant on this subject is long, detailed, and mostly about racism.
**I think Rey is a much more interesting character if she is actually nobody from nowhere, but that's a different discussion.
***This is not about ship vs notp, just about how their on-screen interactions fit into the narrative.
The Star Wars EU is daunting, to say the least. If you want to read more about these characters, may I suggest:
Phasma (novel) by Delilah S. Dawson (my all time fav SW novel)
Poe Dameron (comics series) by Charles Soule and Phil Noto
Captain Phasma #1-4 (comic) by Kelly Thompson and Marco Checchetto
Resistance Reborn (novel) by Rebecca Roanhorse
Before the Awakening (short stories) by Greg Rucka
Shattered Empire #1-4 (comic) by Greg Rucka and Marco Checchetto
Age of Resistance (comics anthology) by Tom Taylor et al

I wonder if soon or later DelReyStarWars books will have the guts to write an Hux novel from his point of view, not told from someone else as in Phasma novel, I want hear everything Armitage Hux felt expecially when he took revenge against his abusers and when he destroyed Hosnian Prime. Sad parts, vengeful parts, annoyed and funny parts; no left out nothing!

🖤General Hux headcanons (Random) 🖤
Tumblr media
.Hums to himself when he’s walking down the halls of his ship when he's in a good mood.
. He no doubt carries a comb in his pocket just in case he needs to fix his hair.
. Though he hides it well, he’s often exhausted and suffers from burnout occasionally.
. He’s come up with a way to semi block his thoughts from Kylo Ren after Ren saw a random thought flit through his mind during a meeting. Kylo can still sense Hux’s emotions, but Hux has been able to hide his thoughts somewhat well enough to hide from detection.
.Hux has had to save Kylo Ren’s ass more than once. To the point where he and Phasma had a code word for the rescue missions. If Kylo Ren ever heard the word, he’d probably blow a fuse.
. Being who he is, Hux has an appreciation for the finer things in life. From uniforms made from the most expensive fabric the First Order can buy to liquor of the best quality. He doesn’t flaunt his acquired wealth and status wantonly, but he does like showing it off in discrete displays.
.He’s got a liking for the color red, so his quarters are well decorated and furnished with deep shades of it. From his bedding to the glasses in his mini bar to the towels in his shower. Besides, red goes so well with obsidian black.
. Though his quarters are small (for his liking. They are larger than Kylo’s.) he has a small area where he can prepare food and small meals for himself. (He loathes the chaotic ruckus of the cafeteria. You won’t ever find him in there unless he absolutely needs to be there). That being said, he prides himself on being somewhat of a good cook. Preparing food is not only his way of coping with stress, but it gives him a sense of control when everything else seems to not be going according to plan.
.Hux almost always falls asleep cuddling his kitty Millicent. (And he always wakes up to her lying on his face or across his chest. He doesn’t mind though.)
. He never has days off, but if he did, he’d no doubt spend it reading one of the many books he has acquired over time. In fact, there’s one steamy novel he really wishes he had time to delve into.

brendol saying that parnassos’ automated weapon system shot down his ship doesn't track to me. like, in my opinion the empire's outdated tech would still have been better than that and able to detect an unsophisticated system like the one of the con star mining company. vi moradi even said that the weapon system was easy to avoid when she went there and met with siv. granted her shuttle was much smaller but 🫡 part of me thinks and hopes that this was armitage’s first attempt at killing his father by doing something fucky to the ship and not expecting those 4 people and the droid to survive lmao. imagine his disappointment. phasma herself said something like the ships that usually got shot down were usually just in pieces so what a perfect accidental death for brendol and then a disappointment to hux when he found out that his father had survived. i know hux says later on that he and phasma talked about the perfect time to kill brendol, but i really don't think that was hux's first attempt on his father's life. it would have been too perfect an accident that brendol died while out in the field looking for kiddos to steal back to the first order and i think that i'm actually going to incorporate this into my portrayal as hux's plan a for killing brendol,
