It had seemed like a perfectly reasonable idea to go along to a gallery after party in order to introduce himself to some more people who were highly respected in the art world. But it was clear that the more alcohol that flowed, the idea that some of these men where respectful in any manner vanished.

Now he was cornered by an especially repugnant man who was talking to him in low tones. Yusuke didn’t particularly want to cause a scene but the things that were being suggested were repulsive. He didn’t want to be touched by anyone other than Ren; who was currently waiting to walk him home outside.

He tried to make his excuse, but the man wasn’t having any of it. Yusuke was getting annoyed but was soon filled with utter relief as the man turned, yelping in pain as Ren had grabbed and twisted his arm in a manner that allowed Yusuke to free himself. He had no earthly idea how Ren got inside but he wasn’t going to complain.

“Ren..! Thank you.. Let’s go before this pig causes a scene..” Yusuke gave the man a look of utter disdain before grabbing Ren’s hand and running away with him outside.
