Cat whiskers are immensely sensitive, about as sensitive as human fingertips! Cats use their whiskers to feel things around them and their face. Cats can actually get a type of information overload, called whisker fatigue, from their whiskers touching too many things/being touched too often, which is why it is recommended to use wide, flatter feeding + water dishes for your cats, and to avoid touching their whiskers unnecessarily.

Cat Paws have 3 types of Beans (paw pads)! Digital, Metacarpal and Carpal pads. The metacarpal pad is located in the center of the paw, the digital pads are located upon their main four toes, and the carpal pad is located on the staff of the cat's paws/legs (often referred to as their thumbs!) They also have what is called a "dew claw", located on the inner side of the front paws (which is more like a thumb if you ask me.) Cats also usually have 18 toes, but many cats have more than just 18. (usually when dew claws are present on the back paws)

Cat Paw Pads are also absorbent of shock and sound, and can feel texture, pressure and temperature! It's important to make sure your fluffy friend's paw pads aren't overgrown with fur, as this can affect their grip and effectiveness. (Most cats can do this themselves via grooming, but some cats can't!)

Cat's Ears have 36 muscles in the outer ear! (while we humans only have 6). They can rotate up to a full 180 degrees, helping cats pinpoint the location of sounds. Cats can amplify sound waves between 2,000 and 6,000 hertz, and can hear sounds up to 62 kHz, which is 1.6 octaves above humans, and 1 octave above that of a dog. Cats are wonderful creatures! Taylor was sitting with her back on the bed, scrolling through her phone and looking through Tumblr, replying to fans and making her own little posts, her leg resting against her other leg.

You had your head rested against her stomach, comfortably using it as a makeshift pillow. Within seconds, she was smiling softly, watching a cat video that had popped up on her dashboard.

A giggle sounds out from her, causing the vibrations of her laugh to travel over to you, and it was the softest thing you've heard all day. You would be on your own phone, but it was just sitting there in your hand, the screen fading dimly in warning before it turned off.

Your eyes couldn't help but admire her every features, simply the crinkle in the corner of her eyes, the blue within her irises, the way her blonde hair would soak in the golden sun, and the curve of her adorable lips.

It had been minutes, of her getting caught up on the screen, and you caught up on her, but it didn't take her long to notice you staring up at her from where you laid.

She shifts her leg off from her knee, putting it more comfortably on the bed, then looking to you instead of her phone.

A breath of air just went in her mouth just as she was about to utter words, but you had spoken first. "You look so pretty...like this," you whisper, the volume barely above the breath you let out, and she blinks for a moment, subtle surprise taking her face.

"...Really?" She raises her eyebrows, a small smile raising up on her face. She had gotten compliments all the time, but with you, it was different.

Your own lips mirrored hers, holding a wider grin, and you eagerly nod. "Mhm." The way you gazed up at her melted her heart, even if you did look like how her cats would whenever they'd lay against her chest. In fact, it makes it better.

"Thank you..." she whispers, a hint of pink tinting her cheeks in all the cutest ways. As much as that would be you whenever she showered you with affection, you absolutely understood now why she would continue to make your heart swell until it bursts with love.

"I think you are the most beautiful person in the entire world," you murmur, moving to sit up, your legs starting to gently go to the sides of her hips, getting comfortable.

She smiles even softer, her hands instinctively going around your waist. "Even without my classic red lipstick?" she murmurs with a tilt of her head, the tone playful, but the words going two ways.

"Mm...your classic red lipstick may be pretty, baby, but I love you all the same even without it. You don't need it-- or anything, to be pretty," you respond, with all the reassurance she needed.

"Just..." You lean forward, arms going to her shoulders to pull yourself in closer. She keeps her eyes on you, admiring your own features, even.

"This..." you continue, murmuring as your hands went to gently cup her face. She just couldn't resist letting her eyes trail down off to your soft looking lips.

"You." The words were breathed out, everything perfect of a loving moment. The rest of the world almost just didn't matter at all, when its just the two of you.

"I love you," you whispered, leaning in to brush against her lips before capturing it. It felt like she was falling in love all over again, head over heels for you. As if it was another confession. And it wasn't even your anniversary or a special day. God, you should have saved it for that because she couldn't even say anything to your current adoration.

The kiss was soon slowly parted, with her not even fully opening her eyes yet. "Your natural face and all of you, is so...adorable," you continued on with genuine sincerity, your thumbs gently caressing her cheek.

A soft laugh comes from her. "I don't even know what to say to that," she says, under the mere exhale of her shallow breath.

A giggle comes from you without hesitation at her cute response. "You don't have to say anything, I just wanted you to know," you reassure, leaning in to nuzzle against her nose.

"Mm. Okay." She nods, then captures your lips again. Your heart skips a beat, but you softly gave in to it without aby hesitation in your bones.

"And you are just as beautiful, sweetheart," she whispers, her finger going up to gently boop your nose when she leaned back, which made it crinkle up, and gracing a smile on your lips. She really did a move of, 'if I'm melting you're melting too'.

"I love you more, by the way," she declares, moving to lay down against the pillows with you on her chest, holding you carefully as she shifted her position.

You hummed, about to protest, but she shook her head and squeezed you tight in her embrace. "Don't even," she whispers, knowing exactly that you were going to say your love was higher.

A chuckle escapes your heart. "I wasn't even going to..." you murmur, your cheeks flushing at her knowing you all too well.

You bit your lip, turning quiet. She absolutely knew you were for sure coming up for a creative way of lovingly fighting her back, but she didn't stop you.

"...I love you to the moon and to saturn?" you whisper, tilting your head up to her with a small smile. She raises her eyebrows, a grin spreading across her face, but she already had a response ready.

"I love you with the entirety of the galaxy then," she whispers, pulling you closer. Her hands gently went under your shirt, dancing around the skin under it.

"Okay, okay..." you murmur, going to bury your face in her chest, surrendering to her big confession of her warm love.

She chuckles softly, leaning down to nuzzle into your hair. She had gotten you, this time. One of her hands peek back out and she reaches for her phone, unlocking it.

"Watch this cat video with me," she says, still cuddling with you and wanting you to join in her journey of joy with the internet's cat videos.

exactly, honestly. They do use pics of the reader as currency, I think I mentioned that in one of the previous fake texts, with Tim as the main supplier since he's so stalker-y.

This economy of photos exists almost entirely between the family, with very little input from the reader. Though, it definitely is possible for the reader to start their own little black market of photos, lol. I do think they use the photos for favours, I think I've shown Tim doing that with Jason in an earlier fake text.

They definitely get cuteness aggression for the reader, and they definitely tend to squish reader's cheeks, especially when reader is annoyed or upset.

I also picked the cat picture because I think they have a tendency to almost infantilize the reader. We see it with Damian constantly emphasizing their lack of capabilities, at least in comparison to the family.

There definitely is a MASSIVE gulf in abilities, which obviously results in them viewing the reader as childlike in a lot of ways. It's why they're so patronizing and part of the reason they even decided to kidnap the reader. They really do see the reader as someone who needs constant protection, despite the reader fighting them every step of the way. So in a way, reader is kinda like a little pathetic but very cute kitten to them, though pre-kidnapping reader definitely doesn't get the full implications of the photo. In a way, it's like a little hint to their eventual intentions, lol.

I also picked the kitten picture because I wanted anyone to be able to see themselves as the reader, but I definitely tried to give it an in-universe reason as well!
