So I'm making a Neocities site :3

It's still very much a WIP-- it only really has the home page and art pages rn-- but I've been working on it for exactly two weeks :D I've been having a lot of fun with it!! Learning lots!

The top bar does get a lil chonky when viewed on narrower screens, but I'll get that figured out eventually :p

My website has reached 2000 views!!! :D That's super small compared to a lot of other neocities sites, but people around the world peeked at my site Two Thousand Times... it's kind of hard to believe!

I hope they liked it,, I hope I can make my site better and better and better, until it's something charming and interesting that some people really enjoy looking through.

OLD:

NEW:

Updates include:

-Cleaned up code a bit, especially the css

-Resized every page to hopefully fit different screen sizes better

-Reorganized main page

-Made buttons fancier, waow

-New 88x31 button featuring both Candie and Kalamari

-New pages, including another art page, simplified art gallery, 'about me' page, and a page about my beloved baby boy Aither (still a work in progress)

-Filled in first page of Chai Chai gallery, yippee

-Temporarily removed music player due to copyright concerns

-Piko

-New custom cursor that's a wii controller! :3

This website update I'm working on is turning out to be sooo big... every time I think I'm getting close to done, another idea pops up 😵‍💫 I've been working on it for over a week now!

I don't think it'll be noticeable to visitors, but I've redone EVERYTHING, made multiple new pages, polished up existing stuff... It's gonna be great 🎉💕✨️

I probably won't be done for another half a week at least tbh

Redoing all the grid measurements on my site 🫠 Wish me luck 🫡

#pikaposts #pikacodes #it's a pain in the butt but it has to be done... if i want my site to look good on other devices #i need the measurements to be in fr (fraction of available space)#so that everything changes to fit different screen sizes #bc as it is right now. my brother has to scroll horizontally to see the right side of my site. and i hate that omg #he said i Could learn media queries to adjust things that way. but apparently that's also a loooooooot of work #probably much more work than just adjusting my grid measurements

Making a cute border for images on my site.... I learned that hell is real and it's in using an image as a border with css. I had to edit the fuckin border 8 times, and look at this unholy abomination I ended up with (under the read more link bc it's long as fuck). It isn't even as thick as I originally wanted!

But thankfully now that I have it done and uploaded and know the code to use, it'll be wayyy easier to do than editing individual pictures into the border like I did for my Chai Chai pic. I can just apply the code to the pic, and bam! Done

Eventually I'll edit it to be closer to my original goal, but it's good enough for now!!

I can't figure out how to make this scroll box biggerrrrr, I mean I COULD but then it messed with the size of the container it's in, so I fixed that by giving the container a specific pixel height, and now my lil updates box just won't change. Grrrrr
