Reminder for any small furry pet owners with no AC; check on your pets and wipe them down with a cool cloth. If you have some of those plastic reusable ice cubes dedicate one or a few for your pet and gently cool them down by gliding it over the fur on their necks or under their armpits.

Brought to you by; my shorthaired cat Pikica looked like roadkill until I cooled her off for a bit and now she's her happy, slightly destructive self again. After being a lil menace and strutting around she is now curled up in her spot on the couch napping.

Me: *shaking with anxiety over contacting my landlady over yearly house maintainance stuff I have no clue about*

Pikica, the spawn of Peace Destroyer, the pissbaby, the creacher that forced me to take a shower before I even started typing the message to the landlady:

*shoves her head inside the pant leg of my jeans and attempts to crawl inside*

I swear, she absolutely knows when I need cheering up.

How do I know I am finally healthy and that summer is truly here?

When Pikica can wake me up at 5am and I don't fall back asleep, giving me time to leisurely get up, make breakfast and coffee and then sit outside watching birds with my lil rascal, all without even a bit of a cough.

I've been trying to call the veterinarian because Pikica's Health is once again acting up, and it could either be that they are swarmed with patients or they had to pack and go out in the field.

However, I do want to get these check ups done asap so please pick up already I have been trying to reach you people for an hour now, I even waited out the early morning call rush frenzy-

I got nail clippers for my cat.

Today I have experienced both biting and getting kicked with extended back claws.

Thankfully, she dulls them from all the running on the hard tile floors. Her FRONT claws on the other hand...

Pikica is a stress pisser.

I was away for I believe three days and I returned to a room that is. So full of piss.

(She isn't alone for the whole day, because my friend's mom is home most of the time, and my friend returns home from work everyday and gives her cuddles and all attention she craves)

I might as well tell whoever will be watching over her in my abscence that Pikica absolutely needs to have company. Just checking on her from time to time doesn't cut it, she is an indoor kitty with the kind of anxiety that will need to be talked about at the vet soon.

The vet has actually said in the past that her problems might be connected to the seperation anxiety, so I better start saving up to get everything slowly sorted in that direction.

I wish I took a pic when I saw it, but Pikica is getting courting gifts delivered onto our balcony now.

Those chonky neigbour cats really want to get some of that tortie pussy-cat goodness, but I don't think sparrows are impressive enough.

One of the best parts of having my cat is that she not only feels when I am having The Big Bad Times, but how she just starts enforcing routines she knows I usually keep on the daily basis.

She sits by the bathroom door and paws at it. She gets in the shower and sits there watching me expectantly. If the laundry wasn't cleaned in a while she'll scratch at the washing machine door and meow (even if there are no clothes strewn about). She'll sit and wait for me to brush my teeth and won't budge if I skipped doing it.

She nuzzled her way into getting my attention just now, and even waited for me to finish the few dishes I was putting off washing, because my anxiety spirals have been keeping me awake.

It's nearly 3:30am, and she not only didn't lay down on the bed while I was airing ot the room before going to sleep, she even went and put her paws on the notebook I journal my days in. She does this nearly every night, just placing her front paws on the edge of the cover. She even kept them there while I was writing and kept messing with my pen.

And she only laid down in her spot once I was cozy under the blankets.

As much frustrations as she brings me, Pikica really is that one bright contrast against the overwhelming fear that consumes me whenever new stuff is happening. Even if its good and exciting, I really do appreciate having a lil furball of a menace here to keep me sane.

I have learned how to stop my cat from spreading chaos and destruction while I want to write or draw or read or do anything at all;

Cuddle time on bed.

I thought I was at the vet like a full week ago. Apparently it was 4 days, and the reason why I know this is because we had to go back again, since kitten worms aren't the main source of the problem. Did blood tests and the vet is worried by results. She did give antibiotics (here's hoping I manage to get Piki to eat them), and if the peeing problem doesn't fix itself in three days, another visit is in order. Fingers crossed the bab gets better.

Pikica love, I will never understand your weirdass sleeping positions while you're on my lap. She sleeps in a circle whenever she's on the bed, but as soon as it's cuddle time?

Yes. She is asleep in all of these. Moves in her sleep and just keeps getting into weirder positions. Tiny lil piss gremlin 💖
