PJO established that Big Three kids are crazy powerful, as evidenced by Nico accidentally opening a hole in the ground and by Thalia and Percy nearly destroying part of the forest, yet in HOO Jason, a child of Jupiter and someone who allegedly fought a Titan and sent him to Tartarus, spends most of his fights unconscious, and we don’t see Percy’s fighting abilities for the most part; how is it that he destroyed the first three cohorts in the War Games in SON but gets disarmed by Chrysaor immediately? Riordan had three Big Three kids as main characters, and according to PJO those three should’ve been the powerhouses, yet Jason’s all but useless and Percy isn’t the same as he was in PJO.
No fr, like Jason just does not showcase this supposed power. I have no faith in it due to the simple lack of showing it.
Percy... I can honestly accept him being beat by Khrysaor, Khrysaor does have a lot of experience in simple battle, one on one, combat- he’s not a war God but the Khrysaor of PJO is a pirate and a good one. But I do wish Percy had put up a bit more of a fight :( And overall Percy is definitely lessened. HOO did not showcase their might.

If they rewrite HOO, they better actually make Jason a fighter and not spend every fight unconscious. I was told he was a child of Jupiter (and thus extremely powerful) and fought Krios and was the one to send Krios back to Tartarus, the show better back that up since the books sure didn’t.
Plus, keep Percy powerful when it comes to HOO, I want the kid who summoned a hurricane and made a volcano erupt to stay once HOO rolls around. He’s powerful in SON and HOO, but he legit got his sword knocked out of his hand immediately by Chysaor (he fights Ares at 12, but Chrysaor was too much)
Idk I don’t mind Percy being beat by Khrysaor, like Khrysaor has a lot of practical experience and wasn’t being mind controlled/influenced like Ares was. Khrysaor lived and breathed fighting on boats, this was his field. I wish Percy had put up a bit more of a fight and then had his clever trick, but I don’t mind him losing there. But also I want him to kick ass too with other stuff (I’m more bitter about the nymphs scene than the Khrysaor scene).
I don’t mind Jason not being a powerful fighter, but I’m biased :P

My Triton: absolutely overprotective of Percy, would kill you for looking at him wrong, I dare you to try it
