"Oh -- of course, yes." Polly keeps Marius as he is, looking down to see him sniff at Circ'e's finger before rubbing his face against it, asking for a proper scritch under his cheeks. "Most people aren't quite attached to them as I am, but... well, most people have a fair bit more sense as well, yeah?" She laughed, and shrugged, though her amusement fell away to confusion and wonder.

"A...A uni..." Polly stumbled over the words. "A unicypus...? I'm sorry, I've never heard of that." She'd seen a few seals and dolphins in the rare visits to the sea, but she could hardly guess what else might be lurking just below the surface. "What is it?"

although circ'e does not reach to take marius, she does gently offer a hand, single finger outstretched near his cheek just on the chance he wished to brush against it.

"I am not... particularly familiar with cats. they exist, where I am from, but they are not... the most common." the corners of her eyes soften as they watch Marius, smile a hint more genuine as they recall the pets they are familiar with.

"When I was young... I had an aquatic mammal for a pet; I do not know that you would recognize it, but we knew it as the Unicypus."
