I’ll give you a briefing without spoiling anything! Natlan is over. There’s a filler Inazuma patch. We got some new characters or upcoming ones. The major one is Yumemizuki Mizuki who’s a 5* Inazuman therapist. I didn’t play genshin in a while but I’m like… 62% sure she’s a standard character? (Do not take my word). There’s some new Natlan characters, upcoming are Iansan (the girl in the trailer as a refresher) and Varesa. The latter’s design has been… a bit controversial but we’ll see what you think. In HSR, in a filler Penacony quest we got introduced to Rappa, who is a 5* erudition (female) who is sort of like a graffiti ninja, and Mr Reca who is not out yet and is a film director.

they have confirmed new characters as playable such as skirk and a friend of ororon, ifa.

THEN the big part is amphoreus, the next planet after penacony! It is a place only accessed through the remembrance’s mirrors. Two patches of it has already been released. There are twelve people called the Chrysos Heirs, likely related to the flamechasers from Honkai Impact. They are each seeking a “coreflame” to fulfill a prophecy to save amphoreus.

ALSO theres a new playable path!! It’s remembrance and involves having summons which are sort of like extra teammates. Sort of like jing yuan and lingsha!

Mydei (imaginary destruction male)

aglaea (lightning remembrance female)

anaxa (wind erudition male)

Hyacine (unknown path+element female)

Tribbie (quantum harmony girl)

castorice (quantum remembrance female)

cerydra (unknown path+element female)

and two unknown ones

the ones we know the MOST of right now are phainon, mydei, tribbie, anaxa, aglaea, Hyacine and castorice. The ones I haven’t mentioned haven’t appeared yet but do have confirmed appearances in trailers. Honestly it’s super hard to explain 😔

back to Genshin, the next quest is about snezhnaya where we are all possibly hoping to see Columbina. I’m a bit mixed on timelines here so I’m unsure if you know but mauvuika is out, she uses a motercycle and claymore, pretty cool.

2.6 Penacony thoughts [part 3]

**Spoiler warning** for the very last bit of the story, starting with the party setup and everything that follows after. Of course don’t read further you haven’t finished the story for yourself because I wouldn’t like the ruin the experience for you.

I always love how self aware the game is. I personally can’t remember why he would be here right now but his tendency of using movie terms so passionately at every chance he gets is endearing to me for some reason, so I’ll let his sudden appearance slide just because I enjoy having him around.

Boothil calling Robin “singing queen” is something I didn’t know I needed until it was said and done, like shut up that’s adorable.

Him opening up about his past in an attempt to calm her down before the performance.. y’all, this pair was cute to me before but this whole patch has sold me on them.

Reca literally calling people npcs but at least he says they can still hold value and the power to influence others. I think life can be thought of this way too, like other people obviously can’t be you, they may not even be part of your supporting cast of characters, but they’re still human and should at least be treated with kindness because who knows how they may or may not affect your life.

Robin mentions Sunday once and all I can imagine is him still chained up to that chair Jade found him in. Really looking forward to seeing how our holy man manages to return in 2.7. I’m still placing my own hopes on him accepting Jade’s deal but we shall see. If so, I’m curious to learn what the consequence will be and how people’s opinions of Jade might change. I wonder, if she saves your beloved Sunday, would y’all still dislike her? I’m already so fond of her so naturally I’d love to give her more praise if such a scenario does happen.

But Robin has seemed so downcast ever since that final battle. Poor girl. She really has been doing so much on her own since Sunday got locked up. You don’t have to do everything by yourself sweetie! So many people are willing to help!

Ma’am you're so pretty. DJ queen is truly a bright and beautiful sight to behold! I’m glad she’s able to smile so big after all the chaos Penacony experienced recently.

And then we have our lovable cowboy sitting off to the side enjoying the show.. until some random npcs come over and drag him to the dance floor so he can really sway to the beat.

As much as I love seeing the Trailblazer wield different weapons in cutscenes, I really wish we pulled out the bat or lance for this one. Seeing us hold out the hat while Dan Heng wields Cloud-piercer and Rappa with her giant shuriken just makes us look a bit silly.

I did like how Reol’s song from Rappa’s trailer played in game during that whole section where all we did was spam Rappa’s technique and chase down Profnana. I hope Hoyo continues to include trailer songs more in the actual story in the future, like how they included a calmer version of Monodrama during the 2.3 Sparkle bomb hunt scene.

All that nonsense with the monkeys is happening and March is over here just living her best life at the concert. I suppose that’s fair. She was hard at work during our recent trip back to the Xianzhou with her training arc, fight against Hoolay and calming down a raging Feixiao, so now it’s our turn to endure all the craziness.

Never in my life would I have imagined seeing Boothill in the spotlight during one of Robin’s shows and yet here we are.

He’s such a fun, entertaining character.. I guess if he can moonwalk during his own trailer, he’s perfectly capable of tap dancing and busting out some silly moves like this.

Behold! A literal definition of crashing into a party.

At least we provided Dan Heng with a soft landing? Seems we’re totally fine with it too if the rock n roll hand signs are anything to go by.

Rappa naturally makes a much calmer landing, until one of her spray can bonks her on the head again. Still a fine ending to a successful mission.

Damn dude, what else has the IPC done to you?

I’m actually not too surprised to see Rappa act this way? like she doesn’t seem the type of person to be completely hung up on getting revenger over someone else who wronged her. She’ll still feel hatred towards them, sure, but she’s able to put all those emotions aside and focus on other things if she wants to, like that whole band side quest that recently started.

I dunno, I still think attending university in a dream is such a wild concept. Penacony is truly a bizarre place.

Oohh boy. Safe to say we’ll be seeing these two again in the future, yeah?

Well, that’s all for now. I did finish the whole band side quest that had all the rhythm games last night and it was fine. Far less Serval than I had originally expected with how the 2.6 livestream introduced the event though, but at least she was there for a fleeting moment.

idk why but your post just appeared on my feed lol but as an ex genshin player and resident hsr player, you'll have no problem adjusting at all! The big diff is the gameplay though. If you're fine with turn based combat and auto-ing battles during farming then you'll enjoy it. I can't recommend it if youre into fast paced combat like genshin and wuwa though. It's more casual friendly, I only login like maybe 4-7 times a month and still get all the rewards. You can also auto clear the abyss equivalent up to like stage 8. For team building, prwyden does detailed guides so you dont have to worry about thinking abt which char pairs well with who. It's a bit confusing at first, but it's not that complicated i think. It's the same dps, buffer, healer etc. roles genshin has. Relic farming is a bit trickier though, you cant do off pieces so itll take awhile to get a good set if you have bad luck like me. Also yeah, the chara trailers, damn I can't believe they got THE Reol for Rappa, that's legendary. Overall, I still recommend you to try it if you still want to!! It's fun if you vibe with the gameplay. We also got a lot of husbandos lately, esp Sunday who's rlly hyped up coming up soon.

I am kind of nervous playing it but I really would love to try it even though I am bad in games lmao but I mainly play genshin for the story and I am curious about the HSR story as well and the gorgeous characters. But I do enjoy the gameplay in genshin even though it's difficult for weakling like me sometimes but I want to really try and see how HSR will do for me :D

I heared about Sunday and he is hella gorgeous ✨. Maybe HSR has better husbandos than genshin idk but I really loved them in the trailer even though when it comes to waifus I am huge fan of them as well. They definitely do them more justice than waifus in anime

i forgot to write my 2.6 story review erm. its been a few days i forgot most of my talking points... lemme see...

(major story spoiler below >_>)

we're just kinda doing a silly one here. i really enjoyed it! was it mostly a little stupid? yeah! but i had a lot of fun with it so whatever. I really enjoyed the more low stakes story. like things were dire but it never felt like the world was ending you know? they don't all have to be stressful updates you know >_>

i thought Rappa's ninja weeb shit was really cute, i saw a few people found it grating but to me it was just a cute character quirk. and then her backstory... aaarrrggghh. hoyo really knows which buttons to hit to make me feel for a character. its giving like. middle school oc backstory in the best way possible. being a genetically engineered superweapon who was tortured and had to escape the lab killing everyone in the process. love that for her. makes me want to take care of her you know?

i loved the little bits of trailblazer trio we got, i would've loved more but i'm just happy to see them all together again even if it was just a little. also just loved having a pretty low stakes hangout with Dan Heng. Thats my guy <3<3

Mr. Reca was sexy. I liked how he said actORs in a silly voice. i loved how he said everything actually. cute. it was interesting meeting another memokeeper. i do wish he was... a little more evil? like hes more silly then bad. although I suppose his complete lack of ability to have empathy for others and the way he views horrible shit happening as good story fodder is rather fucked. the way he talks about everything like its a film set is super charming. hes veer~y normal :)

All the va was really good this quest actually. the npcs included. great stuff. i dont have anywhere to slot this in its just something i thought to myself.

oh! Robinhill food! they talked!! i took sooo many screenshots :) he called her Partner :) nothing else to add other than i squealed lol. Boothill was very cutieful this quest in general. cute little bugaboo. March was weirdly standoffish with him though? i guess it makes sense since me and dh are more familiar with him it just caught me off guard. i guess it was her turn to have the brain cell.

i loved the part at the climax where no dazzle no break played. i've been looping that since Rappa's trailer dropped so it was really cool.

ogay i think thats everything -w- overall I liked it!

i did think paperfold university itself was a little small but. i still haven't finished the 2.4/2.5 story so. idk how big the shackling prison is ehe... maybe they're equivalent. i meant to do it i swear! its just kinda a bummer and i don't really love the characters they introduced so i'm dragging my feet on it >_>
