I salivate over worldbuilding that a lot of my interests e.g mass effect dragon age whatever either never address or only do so off handedly because it's such minor things it doesn't matter to the Main overarching plot and it's something our character probably already knows so there's no point in expositing. please god make shifting real so I can read all the in-universe dry boring ass biology and history textbooks

#and ive already lost the thread of thought too but i was thinking about how the translators work earlier as well #like first contact with a new species and totally new linguistics and we're able to understand with little to no trouble #so clearly theres some manner of In real time learning of an ENTIRELY NEW language on the technology's part which is a bit nuts #+ there's so much cultural stuff we just dont see because it has nothing to do with The War or our companions and it sucks so bad #please... i need to knwo my scholarly curiosity is boundless and desperate #.txt #although to be fair i AM missing out on a bit of da stuff because i still havent read any of the novels
