Last year I planted up the strawberry runners and they are looking really healthy. I have brought hanging baskets for these to be planted out into. . The raspberry cane has sprouted new growth so we should be able to plant it out soon for some autumn raspberries. . #spinach #broccoli and #beetroot seedlings are growing nicely too. Only one pea has sprouted but I have more growing in root trainers. 19th June: Precious rain and bumper crops!!! . The weather has been brilliant for all the crops, as the much needed rain has given them a brilliant boost. The cauliflowers are almost ready to harvest. The broccoli had a few more weeks to plump up. Peas are ready to be podded next week and the radishes are ready to be pickled. . The cucumbers are so adorable and growing well, as are the chillis and tomatoes. The pumpkins, butternut squashes and courgettes are getting huge too. I'm so proud of how well everything has grown from seed. Who would have thought such a smalll space could grow so many crops. . Jobs for this weekend: triming the grass is a must. I can't see some of my beds through the grass lol. I need to start planning and planting seeds for autumn/ winter crops.
