Old Sonic sketches(Plus extras)

Found some old sketches I had on DA & wanted to show them. Some sketches have the date I scanned them in the corner of the image because the date changes if I edit them & I had to edit them cause they're all bmp files along with needing editing to be darkened. It's there to show how old they are & cause I found it interesting, if the image doesn't have the date I'll list mention a date that's mentioned in the DA post or something related. Not all the images are in order of date.

The image on the left was posted November 8, 2012 while the one on the right is from August 27, 2013

These were some wedding sketches I drew with the one on the right being a pic I made for a teacher I had in high school.(Graduated 2014) The pic on the left was a Sonadow & Silvaze wedding with Tails catching Sonic's bouquet while Cosmo(who was revived at some point) giggles.(tfw When you might end up marrying next thanks to a moment at your older brother's wedding & your girlfriend knows too)

Shadow & Sonic's rings(on the wrist) was inspired by a comic by Segamew on DA were Shadow used one of his inhibitor rings to propose to Sonic.(Fun fact at the time I didn't know what his rings did past the fact Shadow wore them, I only learned about the reason recently) I use a different idea for mobian wedding items now.

I find it semi funny(semi cause it looks cringy) that when I posted this to DA I was like "I'm using Shadonic instead of Sonadow so fuck you" to be honest this came from past Naruto shipping were ship names go by who is tops. I've gotten over it by now but if I'm not using ship names I still put the top first.

This was drawn in 2015

The top images are Monoko from Yume Nikki & Sonic as nightmarens from the NiGHTS series. I might redraw/redesign these one day but dunno. The little mini doodles between them are an old design for my self-insert Sonicsona & Monoko next to me. I don't know the context for them.

At the bottom is Reala(nightmaren this time instead of my OC Reala the hedgehog), Jackle & my nightmaren OC Halldis dressed up. Next to them is Pinkie Pie semi Rayman style.(By that I mean floaty limbs)

The one on the left is cropped cause you don't really need to see my old Raymesis/Dark Rayman(Who is turned over a new leaf, also thought they were the same person back then) x Rayman stuff. Funny enough two images were edited into this from the cropped side cause they're semi related.

An old prototype design idea for revived Cosmo, two versions of her as a plant based deer. I ended up going with a plant based chipmunk in the end.(With help from a friend when I mentioned some suggestions)

I don't fully remember the context behind the pic on the left I just know it was a scrapped idea. I think the idea was Silver visiting the past as a kid & helping Sonic after the reboot or after the reboot in Sonic 06 he was born in the past & made friends with Sonic.(The middle pic is meant to be them before the re-boot) I'm guessing this was before the paper towel comic I made.

The right image is meant to be Sonic walking with his siblings as they unknowingly pass by the spirit of Tikal with a bunch of Chao(plus Sonadow chao) & Chip. Sonic notices him & Chip waves to his future friend. From what I understand the idea is Chip some how got a chance to see Sonic in the past after the events of Sonic Unleashed.(Likely way on DA I named this "Meeting again before I knew you") No idea how Sonic can see them without his glasses on since Underground Sonic is blind without them. According to DA this image didn't need much fixing up.

I had to grayscale this because the folder is yellow & it'd look stupid

-Sonic as a young child with his adopted dad after they decided to go frog hunting for the first time

-The idea behind this was Sonic returning to where he grew up before going to live with Uncle Chuck after helping his siblings & mom rebuild the kingdom after defeating Robotnik. I think the idea was that Sonic still met/took in Tails at some point cause there was an idea of Tails bringing Amy, Shadow & the others to meet his older brother.

Version 1 was meant to be Sonic having become more like he use to be before the trauma of losing his adopted parents & losing his confidence thanks to bullying(for being different) & the stress of the war. He's happily being Sonic in the woods he was raised in. Version 2 is just Sonic as I depicted him at the end of Sonic Underground were he has gained confidence but is still slightly timid & very sweet.(No idea why it says "Southern bell-ish" I'm guessing this was the only description I could think of)

-Sonic dressed in his adopted mom's outfit

-Sonic before losing his adopted parents & being taken in by his uncle. Sonic was a happy & energetic, he loves exploring the woods & learning to play music. He's a kid that hasn't fully learned that the world is full of things to fear despite knowing the dangers of going too close to areas everyone knows is Robotnik's territory.(I guess think of Robin from the game The Path were she didn't realize it's dangerous to fall out of a shopping cart nor jump on a werewolf)

The poor kid is in for many horrors when he made the poor choice of hunting for frogs near one of Robotnik's bases.

sydney would be microphone, they both can be a lot for some people, and they also end up meeting up with the person in the woods and working with them and believing theyll get benefits from it. just to end up being used for that person's reasons

jedidiah would be test tube, i feel like she would stay up all night while ignoring everyone else because shes working on a project. although more sciencey, she does build stuff too so i guess she can be an architect.

elijah would be taco, theyre that person in the woods from earlier. they also both like tea and from european countries (sorta? idk if countries really exist in ii, but she is british 💔). also i gave her a cat mask instead of the elephant mask, and im now realizing the taco cat thing 😭.

adam would be mephone, they have similar vibes imo, and i feel like he would have good relationship advice. and since mephone is sorta robot, i thought that would go well with adam being a demon.

rowan would be candle, with all the magic stuff from her i thought that would go well with the visions stuff. plus candle is kinda black coded, atleast most people (including my self) draw her as black for gijinkas/humanized

juniper would be silver spoon, because... 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧💔BRITISH💔🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 and i feel like he would try his best to get out of touching fish and stuff.

marisol would be lightbulb, first, lightbulb is sorta canonically trans fem, and second, shes just as loveable and goobery as marisol

salem would be paintbrush. mainly because of the whole lightbulb x paintbrush thing, but they also have that similar vibes know? (and tulip would be their pet crab, baxter!!)

yvonne would be knife. it was really hard for me to find one for yvonne, but i thought he would fit best. he sorta the though guy and pokes fun at people, but doesnt mean it in a bad way. and he canonically plays video games, so yeah

joshua would be balloon, as theyre both the scrawny type. they also can be annoying for people, and people probably believe they cant win a fight tbh.

sorin would be ying-yang, evil little mischievous dudes. similar vibes tbh

lucielle would be tea kettle, they both can be the sorta motherly like figure, but have a short temper. tries to stay calm.

matthew would be box

so yeah, i thought of this yesterday, and oh my gah, the fact that the characters and stuff like almost match perfectly GRAHHH. and the whole thing with microphone and taco is literally sydney and elijah without all the religion stuff, HOW DID I NOT REALIZE THIS SOONER 💔💔💔💔

Thank you so much, Anon! I am very happy that you like my art, it means a lot to hear that. Yesterday we discovered that we draw Silver very rarely, and I hope to fix that soon… He is a great boy and a very lovely one to draw.

Can’t say much about Fellow Honest – we haven’t seen his event yet; we love Rollo very much! I talked about him in this reply, plus posted a bunch of comics and drawings of him. He was one of the first twst characters we’ve seen even before knowing what twst was, and I still think he has one of the best designs in the game.

We also like Neige! For the most part we talk about him in the context of shipping him with Vil though, so pretty much all of my drawings with him are related to their relationship. This is a hc post, but I’m also kind of sharing my thoughts about him a little bit there… In general, I love what Neige represents and how nicely he contrasts Vil, and I think he could be used in a lot of different scenarios despite basically being just a very sweet and unassuming young man.

Reset Leaf Green with Bulbasaur this time. New world pillar is a female Drowzee named Fujiko. Catch two rattata /pidgey to trade for the squirtle and charmander, beat game with three unevolved starters plus revived Fujiko. Catch entei

Transfer everyone to Fire Red, evolve Bulbasaur and breed two babies for the living dex

Reset second Sapphire cart for Latinas. Catch the Latios in Emerald. Transfer a full Hoenn dex into Emerald for one of the Johto starters, then reset. (I bought this Emerald cart and it came with some guy's post game file and a bunch of legendaries) Catch a suitable world pillar and name it Edmond after the OT.

Ugh either beat emerald twice or buy Coliseum and get the other Johto starters and Lugia /Ho-oh that way.

Once I have a complete living dex (minus mythicals and Lugia /Ho-oh probably) make sure it's been transferred into both (main) Sapphire and Fire Red before transferring up to Diamond/Platinum. Save some good battle tower candidates though.

Select some favorites and battle frontier candidates to ev train in fourth ge. Shove the rest up to fifth. Finish living dex as far as possible

Consider buying Black 2 and White 2. 5th gen sucks though, not sure how much I care about forming a battle subway team. There are no ribbons in unova

Put the living dex into X, also consider buying Alpha Sapphire.

Actually play Let's Go Eevee and Shield. Fuck transferring though. Until we know more about Scarlet/Violet I'm not touching Home. Keep the squad in 6th gen.

I forgot 7th gen exists. Consider buying them I guess. I think Josh has Sun so I need Moon and maybe both Ultras or maybe not.

Diamond and Pearl remakes? I guess. Should only need one version. Legends Arceus doesn't have Home compatibility? Probably getting it to stream anyways.

Finish Digimon Cybersleuth and figure out how to execute gijinkas.

Paper towel Sonic 06 comic from high school

Originally posted April 24, 2014 on DA(lol didn't notice that I was one day off from the anniversary of this being posted)

I decided to post a few things Sonic related since I was working on posting stuff for Lost Prince AU. This is technically connected just it was made before the AU was a thing but some ideas were already coming together.(I dunno how to explain it)

These two were originally together on one image but I split it apart for Tumblr. Wanted to put the pics side by side but kept getting errors for daring to drag them to each other.

So I mentioned a paper towel comic in the ref I posted for Shadow.(Might mention it again later) This is the comic I was implying, at some point in high school(according to the date close to when I graduated) I felt like drawing at lunch but didn't bring paper to the cafeteria so I grabbed a paper towel from the bathroom.

I wanted to draw Silver & Shadow pissing each other off pre-reboot & post-reboot from Sonic 06, dunno why Silver is dressed like that in the pre-reboot. This gets funnier if you've seen my past Sonic art especially for Sonadowtober, I might think about redrawing this with their upgraded designs but it might take some time.

Silver: So what time period are you from? Shadow: SHUT UP GOTH BOY! My sister made this for me! Why do people dress in leather when time traveling?! Silver: Shut up & help me look…(Pretty sky…)

They both find each other annoying.

Later on in current time after Elisa caused the world to reboot at the end of 06, a couple years later Shadow meets Silver(Who may or may not be a time traveler still) again. Both still remember the events of Sonic 2006 but have changed some Silver more than Shadow. Shadow is still annoyed from Silver's back handed comments & tries to get payback.

Shadow: You're from the future? What's with the glasses? You have contacts the first time? Silver: SHUT UP! At least I don't look like a vampire!(Plus the time line restarted)

Both think the other's comeback is lame.

Silver isn't really wearing his mom's(he gained a family in the timeline reboot) glasses. I poorly worded that for some reason, I meant to say he needs glasses like his mom use to. The difference is that Silver while needing them doesn't need them that bad & his mom until something happened to fix his vision was blind without his glasses.

For context on Shadow asking about leather, for some reason I've seen a few jokes in the past I saw were people are dressed in leather/cool looking black outfits when they travel to the past from the future. It was unintentional that Silver dressed like that but it worked for the joke.

Post-reboot Silver's design is inspired by yuji8sushi(account deactivated) on DA. Shadow's old design was inspired by mitarashiarts's old gijinka Shadow.(You won't find the pics on their tumblr, they're on their DA)

Shadow’s outfit was based on MitarashiArts’s(MitarashiBoi on DA) gijinka Shadow design while Silver in the “after” part’s design is based on yuji8sushi(account is deactivated, dunno if they have another) on DA’s design for gijinka Silver. I might make an updated version eventually.

The whole joke is Shadow & Silver managing to piss each other off during the events of Sonic 06. A couple years later Shadow meets Silver(Who is visiting from the future) again. Both still remember the events of Sonic 2006 but have changed some, Silver more than Shadow. Shadow is still annoyed from Silver's back handed comments & tries to get payback.

The hilarious(or ironic I dunno) thing is that in the time reboot Shadow is Silver’s dad but Shadow doesn’t know it & Silver may or may not be aware as this might be before he reunites with his parents in his time. Also Silver inherited his mom’s need for glasses, something happened(Chaos energy) lead to his mom not needing glasses. Lucky for Silver he can see better than his mom when he needed them as Silver’s mom before getting improved vision was blind without his glasses.

This was back when I still gave Shadow an outfit that makes him look like a vampire. If I remake this he’ll have a completely changed outfit, Silver’s outfit in the “before” part is a joke on how at the time I noticed people from the future(especially bad futures) going back in time in some things had black edgy outfits. The funny thing is that his outfit is from GaiaOnline.
