Two years later and I have finally watched the last episode of season one Shadow and Bone. Unstoppable resolve 😤
#the adhd urge to never ever finish the last episode of any show ever#romance is a bonus book was like my favorite show and I still haven’t watched the finale#also in a rare instance I felt the show was quite a bit stronger than the book.#characters felt more fleshed out. dark king had more depth than just nyahaha I’m evil now! and Mal is a character who exists#i really liked that they kept those characters who originally die in the book around for Mal to talk to. their deaths are significant now#and it gives Mal a way to develop. plus Alinas motivation and guilt felt way more realistic since they changed the circumstances a bit thay#out her of the sled to begin with. in the book i really couldn’t understand her guilt. like. it was her fault. or that’s what I remember#plus no endless scenes of her just uselessly living at the little palace. and the dwellings mom!! she made a lot more sense#her motivation in the book was not clear.#course it’s been three years now since I read it. maybe I gotta look back.#oof now I gotta watch season two and hopefully get the whole thing done in a week this time around.
