Sorry but the scene where Shaw is stuck in the subway hideout because her identity has been compromised and Harold brings her a sandwich and Root just carefully helps her unwrap it and and gazes at her lovingly when she attacks it like a starved animal? Root is so smitten with Shaw what the FUCK

here are my favorite real things that happen on person of interest
the ai is lesbian coded
the main guy reese is widely known as "the kneecap guy" because he shoots people's kneecaps out
the other main guy finch lives in a library. reese at one point gives him a dog. the dog eats books. reese is aware of this when he gifts the dog
they kidnap a baby and then have to raise it for an episode
reese gets two cops who are partners to do things for him but refuses to tell each one about the other person, so joss (played by taraji p henson) and fusco (this is actually his name) spend an entire season going "john I think they're onto me. I think they suspect i'm working for you." and he just goes "don't worry about it". he does this entirely to fuck with them
the show's evil hot lesbian villain root threatens to torture the show's bisexual sociopath shaw with an iron. it is their meetcute
at one point the dog in question is being used to threaten reese’s life. so they adopt it. fusco has a ball gag on during this scene
the dog eats a first edition isaac asimov
the cia and the fbi have a turf war
the cia and fbi both completely fail to capture this one dude, whose name and face they know, for two years
some fucking guy spends an entire season trying to take down the mafia while fucking with the duo and then when he goes to jail one of them just straight up plays chess with him weekly
the aforementioned evil hot lesbian root tries to kidnap and almost kills finch in the first episode they meet. she becomes a main character
shaw and root steal reese's grenade launcher
reese's backstory is that he straight up killed a man for domestically abusing his ex
one of them gets drugged on ecstacy and dances to a microwave about to explode
they live in a subway basement for a year
the creator of the lesbian coded ai has entirely bird aliases

First of all, surprise! More Person of Interest! Wow!
Second, my brain would not let go of trying to form a PoI x Fallout AU, and for a while I didn't think I could make it work (ie: how do you get a franchise dependent on stuff like the internet and phone booths to work in one with neither), until I had an actual shower thought about it being specifically a Fallout 4 AU!
Basically it's just Fallout-y versions of the PoI main cast, with Fallout-y versions of their backstories, and following a Fallout-y version of the show's plot, but the plot of Fallout 4 is also happening at the same time with John filling the role of the Sole Survivor (except Harold got him out of Vault 111 instead of Father, and John isn't Shaun's dad lol). Oh and the Institute's surveillance of the Commonwealth is provided by the Machine, and yet Finch has ensured they don't have full access so he can use it the way he wants to: to help improve the lives of the people of the Wasteland!

I love rewatching Leverage.
Started rewatching The Underground Job for some Eliot content and instead remembered that Parker is often taking notes when grifting - both in preparation and during. She was writing out a script for herself and in redemption we finally got to see it develop into using notecards to classify any possible interaction!
Also this is the first time I realized that the kid Eliot meets in the mines is the same kid whose birthday it is about to be when the mine exploded. Making him 14 two years prior (its unclear if he was turning 14 or 15)- which means Cory is only 16/17 years old... hence why the miners always try to keep him as far from "the action" as possible.
When the mine owner complains about how the union demanding workers be paid fairly and have safe working conditions is destroying the business Sophie and Hardison both let their disgust show- they both break!
Parker (or Hardison) keeps a pillow and blanket in Lucille so that Parker can take a nap after too much social interaction [which is now inspiring me to bring a blanket( or maybe a comfy sweatshirt) to my office so I too can nap after too much interaction]
Bonus!
Parker's observations of Pierce:
Tumblr media
Image ID: Hardison holding a notepad to camera that says (in all caps):
Learned more on Pierce today, after hours of undetected observation:
She looks right to left...
Opens office door with right hand, answers phone with left...
Blinks 15 times per minute...
Uses hand sanitizer more than 10 [times] a day...
Has 2 cats...
/End ID
There's another shot where she wrote "Smells like Bubbles!" with Bubbles underlined. And Hardison apparently touches his chin every 2.5 minutes.

CBS really made a procedural drama filled with copaganda and it evolved into a sci-fi commentary on AIs and government surveillance and privacy protection starring multiple people with disabilities/mental illness, a sapphic couple, and their dog.
Like. My grandparents watched this show. Person of Interest was ahead of its time
