If Pokespe Characters Played Instruments

Going up to gen 5 characters cause I don't feel like typing much:

Red - Trumpet since I think he would like a loud and cheery-sounding instrument like that

Green - Baritone Sax, cause I think a snazzy and cool low-sounding instrument is just perfect for him

Blue - The clarinet just gives off those vibes for her, right? Like the popular cool girl vibes-- the popular cool girl who dresses cool, LOL

Yellow - This one was pretty hard for me, but I think the piccolo, because I didn't think a flute would be perfect for Yellow, and it's just a instrument that reminds me of nature, I guess... Like how Yellow grew up in the Viridian forest?

Gold: The drums, I guess. Probably because the drums can be very loud instruments, and I imagine Gold will be fine just hitting two sticks on a thing, you know?

Silver: This was also hard, cause I don't even imagine him playing an instrument Let's just go with the alto saxophone CAUSE WHY NOT--

Crystal: I think she'll play the flute, since she seems like the very minimalistic sophisticated type of girl

Ruby: Clarinet as well... It just gives off those vibes, you know?

Sapphire: Trumpet seems like it will fit her well! I don't actually think she'll use the drums just cause she'll get annoyed by Gold. (I'm kidding, it just doesn't feel right to put her on the drums)

Emerald: I'd imagine Rald to be the top-tier trombone player in the class. I love short people who play the trombone, LOL

Diamond: I think he'd play the flute! (yes, I'm just straight-up saying that with no reason)

Pearl: He'd be the saxophone player who'd always just play meme songs (Alto or tenor sax idc)

Platinum: I was having trouble deciding if she would play the violin or flute, so I'll just leave it up to you to choose for yourself which she would fit better.

Black: You guessed it-- the drums. Like how can I not put a loud child that screams a lot on the drums?

White: I think she'd play the marimba, actually... I just think it suits her.

I really wanted to add a few more instruments (ex: oboe, viola, many other types of guitars...) but I didn't so sorry about that! ...Maybe I would have done that if I made this for all the characters. I don't know.

my longtime friends and followers KNOW my stance on this but i genuinely think the fandom needs to evaluate its stance on rald and ableism in general

it's better now but it's still... really bad. pksp has fumbled some things (treatment of female characters) but rald's story has hit me really hard as a disabled person. it tells the story of disabled child who literally has no person to turn to (i've seen people boil down his past to being an orphan who was bullied on the side which... no......) and was gaslit into not befriending pokemon because he thought he was hurting them - all because he had a body he had no control over.

it takes years to find a group of people (the dexholders) and for him to finally open up to people, even furthermore so in oras (see: him not concealing his body anymore, letting down his hair.) i feel it was an intentional choice for not only guile to get the first wish but a weird seemingly out of nowhere plot point for scott to get the third. because if emerald did get to wish on jirachi, there's not doubt he would wish to become "normal" - except that's not how it happens here. you can't wish or hope your disability away. but things can get easier, you can meet brilliant accepting people and your heart can heal if you allow it.

another thing i've rolled my eyes at is how many people now claim to dislike him because "he's annoying" when 1. there's a boatload of 'annoying' cast members we've had that are beloved (could you imagine how hated gold would be after the blue stunt if he looked "ugly?" jfc) and 2. rald's trauma actively affects how he acts. he puts on a big bravado to repel humans and mostly pokemon because he's afraid he will hurt them... it's honestly really sad. like the minute ruby mentions how affectionate sceptile & the others are to rald, he *panics.* like, yes, he says he dislikes pokemon.... it's a blatant lie, but people still pull that up as "evidence." it's so funny how people can tell how ruby is an obvious bullshitter, but can't see the same for rald.... really makes u think. hmmmm

anyways. rald best boy. oras is a mess pacing and plot wise and fucked sapph over but has cute rald panels <3

Remember that time when we thought Magician is Blue in disguise? When it looks like it ended up not true, what if Lack still got taught by the master of disguise herself?

That’s how I hc’d the way Colress’ suit works with Trick Master’s help based on how he also made Rald’s gadgets. Idrk if Ditto can alter how something looks in Pokespe, but hey it can change someone’s face so maybe it can do this too? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Es una ternura cada vez que aparece y me da penita que no sea un Dex Holder aunque haya portado una pokédex y haya entrenado a Treecko hasta ser un Sceptile, pero eso no quiere decir que Rald no se merezca ser un Holder. AMO a Rald y uno de mis Headcanons es que ellos son amigos. Y me refiero a buenos amigos. <3
