since i was like 10 i’ve had the ability to like things almost regardless of my actual tastes based on if a friend liked it and i wanted to like it too and it’s honestly very hard for me to comprehend that this is not a trait everyone has???? like, i like the thing by association with the person i like, as well as just liking diversity in stuff, but maybe that’s not normal??? idk

i love directdogman’s posts about how people portray jack in davesport media. he says they make him “too affectionate” and said he would respond to affection by basically being an asshole. I genuinely love to see it

one of my favourite pieces of lore is directdogman saying that henry and jack are more of a team, rather than henry just completely possessing him from the beginning. it was more like henry is “seeping poison” into the cracks of jack’s already broken mind.

cuz maybe it can insinuate that jack couldve tried to fight back a little. he knows he had a promise to keep to the real fredbear, but in the end, henry’s words won over because it was most likely a DAILY THING. he must have heard henry’s voice extremely often, commenting on things even he didn’t quite pick up on, being used against him. every little thing with dave, henry commented on. every little thing that could’ve upset jack even slightly, henry probably used it. 

that’s why in the end of dsaf 3 evil route (and i think at the end of dsaf 2 “an ending” as well?) henry goes “It’s time.” - insinuating “Hey, what we talked about is finally going to happen!”, and on top of that, Jack uses what Henry does in dsaf 3 “the end”, he beats his opponent down with words (similar to what dave did to peter in dsaf 2 fairly evil ending!) all to finish the job immediately after.

i think the idea that jack still has his own mind and memories and everything but still being poisoned by henry is a much more interesting approach than henry just completely possessing him from day one. where he can talk back to henry, question him, disagree, etc - all that at first.

it makes legacy even more fucked up, i think. because this is jack making the decision to just give up and listen to henry. the poison seeps in a lot faster when he opens his mind to it, unlike in the other routes, where I bet he just straight up ignores and dismisses henry for the better options to the point where he can’t hear the guy anymore, i could bet
