These are all the completed prompts I wrote (or drew!) for OC-Tober, as hosted by @oc-growth-and-development!
And yes, I had to do this, because some of them are really out of order, and also because some I'm planning on doing, but couldn't during October (I'd had to skip a few days). I'll be editing those in once I do them.

OC-Tober! Day 5: Throne
Portent Longwhite is the youngest of the Royal Family, though what they're heir to, I'm not sure. They technically live in Faerie, but I suppose they rule over the seasons. Yes, that sounds about right: they're a family of ageless faeries who were given rule over the seasons. They're a bit like the Pevensies: four siblings, all ruling at the same time (under the highest of high kings), two kings and two queens. They're ageless, made at the same time but at different ages (at least that's what I'm going with). Sadly, Portent is the only one who has a name as of yet.
But here, anyway, are the kings and queens enthroned in this story.
The eldest is Spring, the wise older sister, who was given authority even over the other three. She's kind and happy, but mature, with a sense of nobility in her joy. She's something of the High Queen. Very understanding towards her siblings. I think a certain event that fell within her season gave her a bit of a wisdom and purpose, a shining something inside her.
Then comes Summer, the hot-headed eldest brother. He's somewhat jealous of his sister, thinking she got an unfair advantage over the rest of them (they were made at the same time, right?). Very independent, and he used to have this sense of adventure, of eagerly looking forward to endless possibilities. Maybe he still does, but I think his temper gets the better of it nowadays.
We have another sister next, who is Autumn. She's pretty chill (ha) in general, plus she's fairly friendly, welcoming, even a cozy type at times. But she also... has this weird side at times. A dark glee that comes out every once in a while. A wild look in her eyes at a few of her smiles. She used to get over it quickly and move on, but in recent centuries, it's lingered, and has lacked a replacement.
At last comes Portent, the youngest of the family, but with a wisdom beyond his years. He's close to his oldest sister, perhaps more than with the others. He's also quieter than the others, more solemn and somber. And that's even before all the drama that happens! But there's something more in him, something in the midst of his heart, something most people don't see. Because most people don't see him in the darkest midnights. And we'll leave it at that... for now.
