made a splatoon fanband !! theyre called Siphon04 Collective, made up of entirely siphonophores. The name is a bit of a pun since siphonophores are colonial organisms :) they make experimental industrial/ electronic music !

what if we were portugese man of war
This is all gonna be an autism fuelled rant abt the portugese man o war
These things are so cool. You ever heard of a colonial organism? These things are made up of zooids of BOTH polyps and medusae!! (Example, medusae make up jellyfish entirely and polyps make up anemone entirely) They're a fucking colony baby!!!
They're labeled as left handed or right handed based on which way their sail chambers curve, which completely changes the direction the wind takes them!! They're free floating, so the wind direction means a whole lot of difference. Like, yk how these things are infamous for being beached in mass amounts, stinging everyone on the sand? Well those masses likely all have the same handedness! All the men o war whos sail chambers that curved the other way in their bloom were taken a completely different direction!!
forgive me if i explained something wrong I'm not an expert I'm just autistic

so funny seeing videos of people handling extremely venomous animals not knowing theyre venomous. Frankly if you pick up a random animal and you have no clue if it’s harmful or not well... maybeee a lesson should be learned in the ensuing events

HOPE DIAMOND: SOLD
The Diamond I decided to draw, then the one to inspire the prior jellyfish pearls ive been showing lately
Her hair is modeled to look like the waves of the ocean, her outfit's sleeves and necklace the prior inspiration of jellyfish- [another note is that her hair could also resemble portugese man O war jellyfish]
This Hope Diamond I planned to be an Era 3 diamond. One that was not created by the diamonds- in this since we have no confirmation in the show where White came from, or if the other diamonds were even created. Ive decided Diamonds are the only 'natural' gem that can come into being under the right circumstances
I even planned a little mini comic but it was scrapped- of Hope Diamond after years of being 'alive' and hearing about The Steven Universe and wanting to meet him...which she couldn't due to him traveling all over the world. So itd be quite some time before she could finally get to meet the one who 'saved the galaxy' with his love. Of course, im sure steven would be less than thrilled seeing a new gem.. a new diamond in particular. So quick to think the Diamonds are back to their old ways it causes a fuss.
first come first serve, i have all the files set up on toyhouse and ready. I take payment in USD through paypal

Note
They always say that the Portugese Man'O'War is a colony of different animals, including the reproductive parts
How the fuck does that work?
okay to make a long and complicated thing shorter, stupid, and marginally less complicated:
Colonial organisms, like the man o' war, all sorta occur when one organism, produced via sexual reproduction, asexually reproduces itself into a ton of clones. These clones, zooids, are hypothetically "free-living", and could do the same thing as the original. Eventually, though, they specialize into different roles, changing their form and function to suit different roles in the body of the man o' war. Some of them produce carbon monoxide, which is like, a tenth of what fills the float (or pneumatophore, if you want to impress someone on a date sometime) on top of the organism, some allow it to reproduce, some can feed, and some are just Toxin Cells For Killing And Hurting. Anyways, it basically looks like one animal, but is technically a billion trillion [citation needed] tiny versions of the same zooid printing copies of itself.
TLDR: portuguese man o' war is kinda like osmosis jones, i think.

What Is and Isn't a Fish: a List
A list of the animals I discussed in my fish essay, but for those who don't want to scroll through paragraphs of text to find out if an animal is or isn't a fish. Just CTRL+F your way through here!
I'll add onto here more animals whenever I get asked about them being fish. See my fish essay here!
Some notes before you proceed:
Yes, all tetrapods are fish! We are phylogenetically fish, as we are and our ancestors were lobe-finned fish! "Fish" in the phylogenetic sense is a paraphyletic group if you try to exclude tetrapods, so it is frankly impossible.
How come tetrapods aren't listed as fish then? Long answer, read my essay. Short answer, me and other fish accounts tend to operate on the morphological definition of fish, so does most of the world. Here I use the morphological definition of "fish".
