We’re Just Left Alone to Cope
There are 5 stages of grief for every living creature, even immortals. Once Minne had been banished from Ninjago for unknown reasons, the two brothers were left to cope with the missing presence.
1. Denial—Both Garmadon and Wu carried on their normal life, occasionally calling for Minne as if she was still with them. Only the harsh silence served as a reminder of their lost sister to which the spiral began once more. Her empty room, her staff no one else could lift, the empty seat at the table—it started the separation of the brothers.
2. Anger—It burned and consumed both brothers after they were confronted with reality. Garmadon forgot all about trying to appear as a good person, obliterating parts of Ninjago as he pleased—all to forget, to rebel, do anything so that Ninjago will remember who exactly caused this. Wu snapped as well—for the first time, without the fear of his Father’s disapproval, without needing to appear as the pious and benevolent son—he destroyed his Father’s possessions, the incense smokes, the scrolls,  because what good were they if he couldn’t protect his family?
3. Bargaining—Garmadon was willing to burn down the entire realm, annihilating it just to bring his sister back. He bargained his lineage, his powers, just to find his sister. Wu was willing to trade his life to find the realm crystal to bring her back—he could never find the map.
4. Depression—Wu & Garmadon reached this stage at various moments, often after their anger-fueled destruction. Garmadon would stare blankly at the destruction and chaos while Wu would block everything in hope to forget. Both didn’t talk to each other until the final battle between brothers.
5. Acceptance—Only Wu moved onto this stage, starting to take up his role as the master once more after the final battle between brothers. A lonely path by himself, the sole survivor of the first generation—until she returned back to the land, back to her family to which the whole process of going through grief was for naught.

Hello. I'm too shy to come off anon, but I just want to tell you I lurk your blog a lot, and I really like to read your headcanons. They always seem a bit more, i dunno, nuanced than what I usually see.
I also like your responses to other people's stuff.
Can I ask, besides the timetwin, who do you like from ninjago?
Oh thanks anon, I really appreciate that. I’ve been in fandoms a long time and after a while you start seeing the same generalized characterizations over and over again applied to different characters, and eventually you start wondering why, when the characters themselves may share an archetype but are only superficially similar. So I spend a lot of time looking at details when a character catches my interest.
And by catches my interest I mean holds my attention hostage until I’ve obsessed over every bit of minutia available to me lmao.
I’m not sure there are really any characters that I dislike tbh. I occasionally indulge in shit talking Wu, but that’s really just for fun. I have a particular soft spot for all of the serpentine and for Chen and Clouse though. Chen is so campy, I love him. I’ve got a post around here somewhere about Clouse being his long suffering sitcom wife that I’m fairly proud of.
I’m not sure how many anons I get here at this point, and you’re all shy lol. If it’s just that you don’t want to appear on my blog, you’re welcome to DM me though. Or assign yourself an anon name so I can at least tell y’all apart 😅

Hey, thank you for the post about the timetwins sharing a bed. I've seen way too many people in this fandom, who have no idea what being a twin is like, saying normal twin behavior is creepy or gross or even sexual. Being an identical twin myself, it's a bit disheartning to see people say stuff like twins sharing is bed is gross or sexual - And that is not even mentioning the fact how common it is in asian cultures to share bedspaces or share futo-styled beds with your family.
Yeah! I know how weird some people can be about it, and I wanted to make it clear that some things people only associate with romantic love can happen platonically/familially, too. There’s nothing strange or out of the ordinary with being very close to a family member. It’s a symbol of unity and trust.
