New Order - Power, Corruption & Lies (1983)
On this day—May 2nd, 1983—Power, Corruption & Lies, the second studio album by New Order, was released. Fully embracing their new identity, incorporating more electronic and dance club elements, and with an upbeat freshness to songs such as “Age of Consent,” “The Village,” and “Your Silent Face,” the album stands in stark contrast to their dark brooding debut. Now viewed as one of the best albums of the 80s and a landmark of the post-punk era, it is also widely considered among the best albums of all time.

New Order ֍ The Village (1983)
Oh, our love is like the earth The sun, the trees, and the birth
Oh, our love is like the flowers The rain, the sea, and the hours

@fidius my reasoning is pretty much the opposite heh. i think your silent face is the true opener and a lot of the themes on the album then flow on from there. also throwing 586 at the end is a wink to the future. i wasn't even 15 when i first got this passed along to me in the reverse order i love, the only album i listen to in this way. my own head canon as the kids would say these days.
buy yeah leave me alone is a magic one. i'm not sure how your accent processes the book/luck rhyme; in australian it's terrible. i just got to mimic barney there when singing along even in my head.

This speech is the real reason the deep state and New World Order killed JFK!
The POWERS that be did NOT want peace, they created, funded and made billions from war and not only that, it was a population control method where they used biological weapons on people. Does "Agent Orange" ring a bell? Now the war is on every human being in every country on earth and they are still using biological and frequency weapons. WE the people are nothing more than lab-rats to these insane lying pedophilic satan worshippers. 🤔

On August 1, 2023, Corduroy Institute conducted a telephone call wherein we finally established Take the Train to Manchester as the album's title. After opting to make Corduroy 60—the album opener—the title track, we decided to name the remainder of the album's songs.
Where would these titles come from? Should we take the Judas Priest approach or the  New Order approach? The former would entail having the chorus provide the title whereas the latter would have a title wholly unrelated to the lyrics.

Finally, what about the four instrumentals?
