The management of Uyo (UNIUYO) has released the 2017/18 Basic Studies/Predegree: Basic Studies Supplementary Admission List IV and Predegree Admission List III for the university for the 2017/2018 academic session.

(7-10-22 mage ©vodafone.co.uk) The Vodafone Curve is a tracking device sold to allow the owner to track keys, luggage, pets etc. It is not the same as the well reported Apple tags and Tile tags, as these rely on Bluetooth alone. The Vodafone Curve also uses mobile phone technology to track articles. On Ebay there are a number of devices that track, vehicles especially, using mobile phone technology but these do not have the quality App that Vodafone has. But as of June 2022 Vodafone has stopped selling the device. There are a number of possible reasons:

(1) It could be commercial pressure and they could be losing too much money on these devices. Or perhaps the company wanted to focus elsewhere which would be strange as they recently promoted their smart technology predegree.

(2) There have been reports that other tags, notably Apple tags, have been used to track people without them knowing. WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW IN THE UK. OK to track your own kids but to track someone not personally known to you without their approval is illegal. It is all too easy to do this with the tag. But once found, the victim can, at least with the Vodafone Curve, find who is paying the contract.

(3) So that leaves me with a technical reason. I guess that these devices use 2G as do most of the vehicle trackers. Vodafone have indicated that 3G will be switched off in 2023. 2G has a longer life but the operators would like to switch it off well before the 2033 deadline. Devices such as the Curve use 2G and selling one now with a 24 month contract would take the contract to 2024.

Now there are 4G versions of the these tracking devices that can be built but a 4G location tracker will be much more expensive than a 2G version. For those of us who are fans of the Curve, let's hope that a 4G version will be produced soon and it will not be too expensive. In the mean time I guess I will have until 2024 with the current version.

മഴചിന്തുകൾ.....

" മഴ " ........ അതിന്റെ സൗന്ദര്യം പൂർണ്ണമായും നുകരുന്ന campus കൾ വളരെ കുറച്ചു മാത്രമെ ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളൂ.

School കാലഘട്ടം മുതൽ തുടങ്ങട്ടെ....

പാലക്കാട് നഗരത്തിന്റെ ചെങ്കോട്ടയായ BEM School ന്റെ ക്ലാസ്സ് മുറിയിലിരുന്ന് മഴയുടെ സൗന്ദര്യം ആവോളം നുകർന്നിട്ടുള്ളത് ഏഴാം ക്ലാസ്സിൽ പഠിക്കുമ്പോഴാണ്. 7 B ലെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ ബെഞ്ചിലിരുന്ന് ' നാഗരിക മഴ'യും ' ആലില മഴ' യും നുകർന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്. വലതുവശത്ത് 'നാഗരിക മഴ' ഇടതുവശത്ത് 'ആലില മഴ'......

മഴയുടെ സൗന്ദര്യം നോക്കിയിരുന്ന് ചിത്രം വരയ്ക്കാൻ മറന്നു പോയതിന് Drawing മാഷ്ടെ 'പിച്ചൽ' കലാപരിപാടി വേറെയും....

എന്നാലും അതൊരു രസമായിരുന്നേ....

High school ലൊന്നും അത്രത്തോളം മഴയുടെ സൗന്ദര്യം നുകരാൻ ഒരു ക്ലാസ്സിലും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ലെന്നത് ഒരു ദുഃഖസത്യം. പക്ഷേ.... പത്തില്ലെത്തിയപ്പോൾ ആർത്തലച്ചു വരുന്ന 'ആലില മഴ' കുറച്ചൊക്കെ ക്ലാസ്സിലേക്ക് കടന്നു വരാറുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

Predegree ക്കും ഞാൻ കണ്ടത് 'നാഗരിക മഴ' തന്നെയായിരുന്നു.

Degree ക്ക് മലയാളം ഐച്ഛിക വിഷയമാക്കി ആദ്യം ചേർന്നത് Govt. College Chittur ൽ . മഴ സൗന്ദര്യം നുകർന്നായിരുന്നു അച്ഛനോടൊപ്പം ആ campus ലേക്ക് നടന്നു കയറിയത്. ആ campus ന്റെ സൗന്ദര്യം എന്നെ കുറച്ചൊന്നുമല്ല ആകർഷിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്.

പക്ഷേ... College ൽ എത്തുന്നതിന് എത്രയോ മുൻപ് Victoriya ഒരാവേശമായി മനസ്സിൽ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചിരുന്നു.

(സർവകലാശാല സിനിമ കണ്ട് ലാലേട്ടനോടുള്ള പ്രണയം മൂത്ത് ഹരം കയറിയതാണെന്ന് ആരോടും പറഞ്ഞില്ല. 🤪) അതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നെ വിക്ടോറിയ മുത്തശ്ശിയുടെ മടിത്തട്ടിൽ അങ്ങ് തല ചായ്ച്ചുറങ്ങി.

ലൈബ്രററിയുടെ പുറത്ത�� നിന്ന് ഗ്രൗണ്ടിലേക്കു നോക്കുമ്പോൾ കാണുന്ന മഴ സൗന്ദര്യത്തിന് മറ്റൊരു ഭംഗി ...... എല്ലാരെയും ഒന്നിച്ചു ചേർത്തു പിടിക്കാനായി ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ടു നിൽക്കുന്ന ഗ്രൗണ്ടിലെ മുത്തശ്ശിമരം ......

എല്ലാരും ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും ജീവിതത്തിൽ നാം എന്നും ഒറ്റയ്ക്കാണെന്ന വലിയൊരു ജീവിത തത്വം ഓർമ്മിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. കോളേജിലെത്തുന്ന കൗമാരങ്ങളുടെ സൗന്ദര്യം മാറി നിന്നാസ്വദിക്കുന്ന മുത്തശ്ശി....

B Ed നു പഠിക്കുമ്പോൾ അനുഭവിച്ച 'മരങ്ങളുടെ മഴ' അത്രയൊന്നും മനസ്സിൽ ചിറകുവിരിച്ചില്ലെങ്കിലും ആദ്യമായി അധ്യാപിക വേഷമണിഞ്ഞ കഞ്ചിക്കോട് Govt.Higher Secondary School ലെ മഴയുടെ സൗന്ദര്യം...... അതിനു മറ്റൊരു മുഖമാണ്.....

ക്ലാസ്സിൽ നിന്നു നോക്കുമ്പോൾ കാണുന്ന പശ്ചിമഘട്ട മലനിരകളിൽ പെയ്യുന്ന മഴയുടെ സൗന്ദര്യം എത്ര ആസ്വദിച്ചാലും മതിവരില്ല.......

ഭൂമിയെ മാറോടണയ്ക്കാൻ കൊതിയോടെ പെയ്യുന്ന മഴ...... ഫാക്ടറികളിൽ നിന്നുമുയരുന്ന പുകപടലങ്ങൾക്കുമുകളിലൂടെ ആവേശത്തോടെ നീങ്ങുന്ന കാർമേഘങ്ങൾ ...... ഇന്നും അവിടുത്തെ മഴ ഭംഗി അദ്ഭുതത്തോടെ നോക്കി നിൽക്കുന്നു.....

പിന്നീട് ആസ്വദിച്ച മഴ സൗന്ദര്യം Donbosco ലെ മഴ തന്നെയാണ്. Class മുറിയിലെ കുട്ടികൾക്കൊപ്പം അവരിലൊരാളായി മാറി അവരോടൊപ്പം മഴ സൗന്ദര്യം ആസ്വദിക്കാറുണ്ട് ഞാൻ.....

ക്ലാസ്സെടുക്കുന്ന സമയത്ത് മഴ പെയ്താൽ കുട്ട്യോൾക്ക് വലിയ ഇഷ്ടമാണ്. ടീച്ചർ ക്ലാസ്സ് നിർത്തുമല്ലോ....😃😃😃

അവരേക്കാൾ കൂടുതൽ മഴയുടെ സൗന്ദര്യം നുകരാൻ ആവേശം ടീച്ചർക്കാണെന്ന് അവർക്കറിയില്ലല്ലോ ....🤪

DB ലെ മഴയെ വർണ്ണിക്കാൻ വാക്കുകളില്ല.....

പണ്ട് കുട്ടിക്കാലത്ത് അമ്മ വീട്ടിലിരുന്ന് കൗതുകത്തോടെ മഴയെ നോക്കി നിൽക്കുന്ന കൊച്ചു കുട്ടിയാവാറുണ്ട് ആ സമയത്ത് ചിലപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ.....

ജാലകത്തിനപ്പുറത്ത് പെയ്യുന്ന മഴയ്ക്ക് വിവിധ ഭാവങ്ങളാണ്.

Staff room ൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ചെമ്പകത്തിന്റെ മണവുമായെത്തുന്ന മഴ എന്നെയാണ് ആദ്യം തേടിയെത്തുക ...... ഒന്ന് വന്ന് തലോടിപ്പോവും ...... ആ ബാൽക്കണിയിലിരുന്ന് മഴയെ കാണുമ്പോൾ ചിലപ്പോൾ അവൾ ആർത്തലയ്ക്കുന്നതു കാണാം..... ചിലപ്പോൾ വല്ലാതെ ചിണുങ്ങും.... സംസാരിച്ചു തുടങ്ങിയാൽ ചിലപ്പോൾ പരിഭവങ്ങളുടെ ഭാണ്ഡക്കെട്ടുകൾ അഴിക്കും.....

PT period നായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്ന കുരുന്നുകളെ മോഹിപ്പിച്ചു നിർത്തുന്ന കുറുമ്പി മഴ ..... ആ period മാത്രം മഴ പെയ്യും .......

എത്രയെത്ര മഴ ഭാവങ്ങൾ .... സൗഹൃദ മഴ ..... പ്രണയ മഴ...... കണ്ണീർ മഴ ..... സ്നേഹമഴ...... രൗദ്ര മഴ ...... അങ്ങനങ്ങനെ......... മഴ���ുടെ എല്ലാ ഭാവങ്ങളും ആവോളം നുകരാൻ കഴിയുന്നു DB ലെ മഴയ്ക്ക്........

മഴ ഭാവങ്ങൾ വർണ്ണിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങിയാൽ തീരില്ല.... മനുഷ്യന്റെ സമസ്ത ഭാവങ്ങളും ഉൾക്കൊണ്ടു കൊണ്ടാണവളുടെ വരവ്......
