[ location: henderson hospital ]
Leaning on the building’s outside balcony, there was a simmering cogitation prodding her and guffawing at the notion of her own sternum imploding from the recent events, overwhelmed too much of an understatement to elaborate what she was feeling right this second. Dealing with tonight’s events and then making a phonecall which then delivered a rather massive sock to her chest ( your father, not ours ), she was surprised she had ambled this far without shattering an object or herself to divert all the emotions that had slithered inside, noxious veins, strangling her lungs. Perhaps the presence of her spouse had aided her, the embrace managing to thaw her raging inferno into a trembled hush, though it flared a bit again the moment she decided to just venture around and let the pink-haired chef to attend to her closed ones. She needed to breathe in some fresh air, and this place yanked her in, naught but a barren scenery ahead but she could appreciate the solitude. Her peace didn’t last long, however, after she fished out for a pack of cigarettes only to discover she had left her matchbox in her truck. A rasped groan slithered through her lips, and she pulled back a little, assessing the area again and cautiously appraching one of the passersby. “Sorry,” her voice was akin to a drawled grunt, coarse and fractured. “You happen to have a lighter I could borrow? Left mine in my damn truck. Don’t feel like goin’ back there just yet.”

[ location: wedding reception. ]
The purple-haired bride had been spending preponderance of her time nestling away from guests and contentedly sipping on a glass of beverage — considering the atmosphere tedious without her spouse by her side. While he was being chatted by one of his family members, she was gratified with her position, the most she would bid were nods of acknowledgment, and then murmured praises over how organized the whole set-up was. It wasn’t as though she were not relishing the event whatsoever, she was, yet without him poising next to her it just felt a lot less enjoyable. Not as if she couldn’t pretend, of course, she had spent centuries draping on masks in order to achieve success. However, for once in life her life, she wanted to try and allow herself to not disperse as much facade. This remained one of the best days of her life, but she didn’t feel like fabricating pretense when she was basically permitted to do anything that she’d like with her husband, as long as it wasn’t too — scandalous, so to speak. Tilting the clear glass again, she felt another presence emerging and approaching her. Holding back a heave of exhale, she gave them her usual nod, but didn’t pry her gaze from what it had been fixating. “Doesn’t he just look gorgeous?” She murmured, licking bright red lipstick to foster the flavor and curling back a strand of purple. “I mean. He’s always been handsome — but the suit makes him look even more dashing. Then again, I’m certain he can pull off anything.” Tilting her head, she rested her chin atop of her knuckles, chancing a sideway glance. Manners. “Are you enjoying the event?”

[location: kroger]
While Lucía had been learning English from a very young age, and the idealistic child always saw herself living in America one day, her grasp on the language was still less than perfect. You’d think someone who grew up speaking both Catalan and Spanish interchangeably would catch on to English fast, but now that Lucía was older it was harder for her to pick up all the little exceptions and nuances--not to mention the slang. She felt American slang was it’s own language at this point, one that she’d never even been exposed to.
Staring at the wall of unfamiliar, colorful, cereal boxes, Lucía felt so overwhelmed that she might cry. With her phone open to an english-catalan dictionary app, she was struggling through deciphering every single label before selecting what to put in her cart. At the verge of breaking down in frustration, she tapped the shoulder of a nearby shopper.
“Please, sorry, can you help?” she asked, holding out the box to the other, “Are there, um, cacauets, um, nuts, in it?”

Kassie was exhausted out of their mind. Sitting down with grass blades tickling their legs they looked around their surroundings to watch people play around the park with their companions. It was a sunny day outside despite the weather getting colder the more the year was reaching its end. Kassie had just finished their work at the hospital and things were finally slowing down after the outburst of patients following what happened during Halloween. Getting so many patients all at once was overwhelming but they were glad they were able to finish on time. Opening a can of soda and gulping it slowly they watched a bunch of children playing soccer. They couldn’t help thinking about their daughter but they shook their head and instead they propped up the magazine and continue flipping the pages. There were pictures of animals as they looked down and they smiled softly announcing to no one one in particular. “I’ve been thinking of getting a new furry friend....” They said. “Cats or dogs? That lab puppy is adorable.”

( Location: Dixon's Fist Fury Training Centre for Self Defense )
Xavier came in quite early today. Then again when someone had been spending the remainder of his life in this hut he could have come in anytime time he liked and that was a perk of being its owner too. However early didn’t mean he would be the first one to arrive there. His fellow trainers took up that responsibility so they could start teaching the eager pupils who wanted to learn self defense as quickly as they could. While combat couldn’t be rushed Xavier was impressed by their determination and allowed morning classes to start way before he arrived for the day. He looked around the place filled with work out equipments and he could see from a distance some of the teenagers and younger were already sparring with each other. Xavier smiled watching all of that though it faded into air of mystery again when he saw someone walk in. He had not expected anyone to apply or visit right now but they might have other needs to be there. “Can I help you?” He asked. “Are you here for our classes or just visiting? Make sure to be mindful if you’re visiting. We don’t want those kids to get too distracted.”

[ LOCATION: DESERT WIND COFFEE ROASTERS ]
The missing poster found on the door of Beau’s shitty apartment had hardly phased him. He tore the sheet from his door after sneaking back in past curfew, and once he focused his vision enough to read that it wasn’t an eviction notice, he balled it up and threw it alongside all the rest of spam mail he’d received the last few weeks.
He was, however, much more affected by the establishment of the curfew. Not that he was adhering to it, really, but some of his more nervous after-dark regulars were. Now, it was the crack of dawn (before noon), meeting in places people normally go that early in the day (again, before noon) and Beau stuck out much more than he did in back alleys and scummy bars past midnight.
“I will never be a fitness influencer. I hate seeing the sun shine,” Beau grumbled aloud to himself, sitting far back in the dining area of the coffee shop. He looked up from the paper cup of black coffee he was nursing to notice the person standing before him, not knowing how long he’d been ignoring their presence. “What are you looking at?”

[ location: aurelia’s trance ]
It had been a rather quiet day around the shop so Aurelia had told her cashier at the counter to head home early, figuring there wouldn’t be too much else going on before the shop closed in a few hours. It was so slow, in fact, that Relia decided to head back to her office/reading room and do a personal tarot card spread for herself. Having already pulled her mind and body cards, she was about to select her spirit card when she heard the bell above the door jingle. Of course. “Comin’!” she called out in her thick Mancunian British accent, getting up from her seat and hurrying into the main room. Aurelia’s shop was filled to the brim with witchy supplies, like crystals, oracle cards, herbs, colored candles, and the like. The shop smelled of herbs and essential oils and at least to Aurelia, she found the little shop to be incredibly calming. “Hey, how are ya’? Can I help you with anything? Are you here for a readin’ or are you just lookin’ around?”

[ Location: Anywhere in Primm ]
After successfully helping his team to get the car back on and let the wounded one be taken care of at the hospital Cody took a cabbie ride back into the town while letting out a sigh of relief. He was lucky enough to not be a target but still he had been shocked and tired out by the event. He was sure he needed to file a complaint to whoever hosted the celebration for all the emotional distress he had to go through although he had spent his time making sure Jessica wouldn’t get more hurt while the other went to find help. He was at least no longer in the middle of nowhere stuck and helpless. Sighing he got out of the cab and walked into a general store to fetch some cigarettes and cans of beer. As he walked out he noticed people from the event had begun gathering. Not all of them but at least some he could talk to. He neared himself and started to smoke while he looked around. “That was shit right?” He said with another sigh. “You won’t believe what happened to my crew. We were attacked by fucking clowns.” He nearly forgot about the corpse but he had stayed in his car mostly.

[location: las vegas.]
the irritation is pretty clear on ariel’s face as she moves to walk down the street. one casino after the other, nothing had taken her mind off the endless anxiety that was taking over her brain and rendering her pretty fucking useless. she notices the looks she gets -- but whether it’s due to her status as a musician or due to the expression on her face, she can’t really tell. she’s moving a bit too fast and as she bumps into someone, she doesn’t even bother to apologize. “fuck.” it’s not a burst of anger, it’s just an overtired exclamation from an overtired woman. looking down, she notices her phone’s fallen. “i think you broke my phone.”

[ location: mt. wilson ranch. ]
Flabbergasted couldn’t even begin to construe what the lavender-haired was feeling right now — perched outside a near run-down saloon with a mug of steaming tea to ease her nerves, Micah was thoroughly rattled by what she had experienced down in that forsaken mine. Perhaps, after residing in this god-awful place for a long time she should have predicted something ghastly to occur, yet nothing could have prepared the podcaster for the sight of a decomposed body which had smeared her mind. Always the prim one, she was, choosing to unblemish herself from such things to maintain her sanity though fate seemed to have decided on the opposite for her. After ducking her head down and spending almost an hour huddled in her spouse’s arms for comfort, she opted to take a breather outside the bar, placing down the drink that had done almost nothing to ease the rampant trembles running through her torso. This was supposed to be entertaining, prickling away the stress which had accumulated over the past few months — Jesus, supposed she would have to dial her therapist again tomorrow. “I’m fine,” she spoke, upon sensing another presence closing in, and she fiddled with her cigarette pack, “just need to — collect myself after everything. I don’t want to talk about the details.” She added, before sighing, looking up at them. “Are you alright? Sure hope your night went better.”

[ LOCATION: Primm Valley Fitness Center ]
Perhaps it made Noah just the slightest bit conceited, but he’d always taken pride in his body. He had worked hard for it, growing up the little nerdy kid who’d much rather explore the biodiversity of his backyard than play sports with his peers. He wasn’t always the pretty boy he was now. It wasn’t until high school, when he joined a weightlifting class and fell in love with it, seeing it as a competition with only himself, and it suited him. By the time he got to undergrad, he had grown out of the reputation of scrawny bookish Noah.
One of his first yelp searches upon moving to Primm was to find a new gym, with Primm Valley Fitness Center receiving the most five-star ratings. So for the first day, he hit his favorite, back and biceps, then the sauna for the post-workout detox.
He was casually strolling towards the exit, shirt, water bottle, phone, and keys in hand, when he caught pace with another gym-goer.
“Hey, I’m new in town, where’s the best post-workout smoothie place in Primm?” he asked, half really wanting to know, and half attempting to make new friends with someone he might end up working out with often.

[ location: corn maze. ]
Raven-haired’s eyes were emanating danger whilst she sat on a boulder outside the maze — to conclude that she was irritated would be an understatement, with her appearing as if claws were about ready to potrude out of ivory flesh for anyone who so much as spared her a wrong look, or a look, in general. Getting caught in the middle of a hasty but thrilling sex with her husband had put a damper in her mood, thinking she had lost her only source of bliss that night although they would likely resume their escapade later when the two of them were actually alone. It was a shame for she had been looking forward for it to happen, as she found the rest of the event to be dull but of course, something had to meddle in. Evren was still continuing to fix her corset when she stood outside, her spouse’s jacket draped over her to ensure she wouldn’t get too frigid when he was scampering around a few feet away still. She would love to help him, the way he had aided her a bit on the way out, but she figured her ire would only worsen the situation. Though, she wasn’t surprised when she noticed there was someone nearby, apparently watching her as she continued to adjust her attire. Voice filled with an irked venom, rather than sheer sadism, she glanced up. “What,” she hissed, “the hell are you looking at? Is this funny to you?”

location: las vegas, any casino.
as the night neared towards dawn, ford move towards the bar, looking to unwind, to breath. the sound on the casino’s hallways weakened as he moved farther and farther away from it. there was still the same tinkling of inviting machines, the same flashing lights of blue and red and gold, but from a distance it looked a lot more like a empty promise than a chance at entertainment.
he had lost a couple hundred dollars in the slot machine, won a few more in a poker game. ended the day with just about the same amount he had began it with it. and so, when he sat, asking for a whiskey glass, untying the knot in his tie, he just looked tired, worn out.
it was when he found someone else’s eyes on him that he tried to crack the wide characteristic smile, when he gave them a once over that both brows raised at the other. “ can i buy you a drink ? —i might not look like it but i’m the best drink-buyer in all las vegas. ”

[ outside pinkbox donuts ]
Head tilted down to tail the movement of her digits, skirting along the curve of her eight-month round belly, the brunette might have appeared quite serene on the surface with her soothing motion - but if anything, it was only a mere attempt to console both her unborn children and herself with all the things that had been swirling around in this town. Out here prominently to acquire extra boxes for the six-year old munchkin at home, her chest tasted ruins upon seeing the commotion, wanted posters being plastered around and recognizing the faces with a thick gulp of her saliva. So much had happened over these past several months, and she didn’t know how worse it could get from here - piling both anxiety and frustration that she tried her best to cork down. The twins seemed to realize their mother’s distress as well, kicking more often than usual and seemingly attempting to gain her entire attention. She flinched as she caressed again, proceeding to add in a hum, “it’s okay, hey, hey. It’s okay. It’s okay. I’m here. Uncle Cyrek and Evren are okay, red mama is okay, your brother’s okay. I promise things will come back to normal soon.” She muttered, despite the shakiness in her voice and how peculiar she might look - feeling eyes on her and she figured it could be out of curiosity, or annoyance, she couldn’t careless. Comforting them was her priority now, and she knew she just needed to wait until her and her spouse’s car would emerge soon to take her home. After shushing down for a few more seconds, she finally regained her composure, and decided to address the person who had been watching. Her shoulders tensed a bit, it could be anyone for all she knew - could be one of those hunters, or whatever. “You know I could feel you staring the whole time.” The brunette spoke without looking up yet, her voice louder to let them know they had gained her attention. “I was trying to calm them down. Everything’s just fucking stressful right now.”

[ location ; amish market ]
PUBLIC SCENES WERE always the hardest for natalie to film. when she still lived in arizona, her videos were entirely restricted to her bedroom for fear of how those around would react to her channel. which was incredibly amusing considering her channel was quite innocent, filled with makeup reviews, clothing hauls and general lifestyle vlogs. now, in primm, though, she wasn’t held back. of course, this meant the awkward conversations of explaining why she a camera in public and was filming and ‘oh no, don’t worry; i promise you won’t be on the internet.’ as bubbly and outgoing as she appeared on youtube, the public confrontation still made her nervous. and that was exactly what was happening now as her panasonic camera scanned over the variety of fruits and veggies only to accidentally come up right in someone’s face. “ohmygosh, i’m so sorry. i promise i’m not a creep, just trying to make a video. of the market, not people.”
#primmstart#puts off stella replies by making a natalie starter its fine#can't help the muuuuuse my duuudes#also she's not like crazy popular so the chances of someone recognizing her are pretty slim lol

( Location: Denny’s. )
Denny’s wasn’t usually Kassie’s top choice when they had to have their meal but it was one of those lazy days where they didn’t feel like staying in but also they were not too appealed to eat out somewhere fancy. It was quick and Kassie simultaneously felt like it was one of their lucky days looking at how the place was not as busy as the usual. However the downside of is that it was easier for them to notice shady looking people and after they finished ordering they noticed someone from the corner of their eyes staring at them with a look that could be described as suspicious. Not only that they noticed the guy also closing in on them but then walked away when they turned around. Feeling fear strike up they looked around and found an occupied table with an empty spot. This was brash of them but they hoped the person wouldn’t mind. They felt like their safety was at risk afterall. They rushed over to the table and then they hushed. “I’m sorry... Do you mind if I sit here? I’m alone and that guy has been looking at me weird.” They said and they gave the person a pleading expression. “Please? I’ll get out of your hair as soon as possible I promise.”
