El equipo Audi Sport ABT Schaeffer integrado por Daniel Abt y Lucas di Grassi, enfrentará un nuevo reto en la quinta fecha del campeonato mundial de monoplazas eléctricos que se disputará en el emblemático Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez de la Ciudad de México el próximo sábado 3 de marzo.

En las últimas semanas, los ingenieros de Audi Sport han trabajado fuertemente analizando los problemas técnicos del Audi e-tron FE04. “Confiamos en que hemos encontrado la causa y la solución”, afirmó el jefe de Audi Motorsport Dieter Gass. “Desafortunadamente, las regulaciones de la FIA no nos permiten implementar cambios hasta que haya pasado un periodo de 30 días” En consecuencia, la respectiva actualización no se utilizará hasta la carrera en Punta del Este, el 17 de marzo. “Aunque no estamos contentos con esta situación, somos optimistas y creemos que las características de la pista, al igual que en las pruebas de la pretemporada, no representarán algún inconveniente”.

El piloto Lucas di Grassi ha cruzado la meta en primera posición en cada una de las dos carreras que se han llevado a cabo en la Ciudad de México – el año pasado, llegó después de una espectacular batalla desde el fondo de la pista. “El año pasado, mi victoria fue sin duda, la más increíble en la Fórmula E”, recordó Lucas di Grassi. Este año, el actual campeón tiene que mostrar su espíritu combativo una vez más.

Por su parte, Daniel Abt ha sumado puntos cada vez que ha estado en México. “Los fans mexicanos son muy entusiastas, la atmósfera es increíble y me gusta la pista” expresó Abt. “Me siento muy cómodo aquí, estoy altamente motivado y lleno de energía.” Junto a su compañero, el alemán está viajando a México después de una semana de gimnasio en Lanzarote con todos los pilotos de Audi.

“Por ahora, estamos pasando por un momento difícil en nuestra joven historia en la Fórmula E. Pero nuestra determinación es la misma que hemos tenido siempre y continuaremos empujando hasta el máximo con Daniel y Lucas, a pesar de los retos actuales,” afirmó Allan McNish, Jefe del equipo Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler. “Todos sabemos lo impredecible que puede ser un día de carrera en la Fórmula E – la espectacular victoria de Lucas el año pasado lo ejemplificó muy bien.”

La quinta fecha del campeonato de Fórmula E 2017/2018 se correrá en 47 vueltas, que inician el próximo sábado a las 4:00 PM, hora de México.

Los aficionados a la Fórmula E tendrán la oportunidad de ayudar a sus pilotos favoritos a mejorar su posición en la carrera, dándoles un extra de potencia con su apoyo. Desde 12 días antes de la carrera y hasta 6 minutos iniciada la misma, los aficionados pueden votar a través de varias plataformas: sitio y/o aplicación FanBoost, Twitter o Instagram. Los tres pilotos más votados en el FanBoost recibirán un power-boost extra (Push to pass o aumento de potencia de 133kw (180 CV) a 200kw (270CV)) de 2.5 segundos.

Para la firma alemana de autos Premium, el E-Prix en México es un evento trascendental al representar parte del futuro de la marca como un ejemplo contundente de la estrategia del Grupo Audi. #ProgressFeelsElectric

At the #BerlinePrix in Season 4 of the Formula E, we had the chance to witness the first double victory for Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler, together with the maximum possible point score on a race day of the e racing series.
