Looking back at it all now, I genuinely believe that the Deacon is the natural form of the xenomorph - prior to any genetic manipulation that took place. The Engineers just held the animal in high regard.

In an act of creation, David would attempt to recreate this beast, birthing the perfected Alien we all know.

I wanted to complete the morph trio for my War of the Worlds x Alien thingy, and I did so. Here’s Callisto! As the piece says, she’s a cross of WOTW alien and Deacon

Now that the trio is all done, I think I gotta draw them all together now 🤔

This is how I see the evolutionary lineage of the Alien, as portrayed in total by the films:

Deacon -> Neomorph -> Praetomorph -> Xenomorph

With the Deacon being the natural, unaltered form of the Starbeast, and later iterations being increasingly altered and adapted.
