𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞́: 𝐃𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐚 𝐏𝐫𝐢́𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐞

PSALMS S.O.A.P. ~ PSALM 105
Wednesday, 12/13/23
SCRIPTURE:
He is the Lord our God; His judgments govern the whole earth.  He remembers His covenant forever,  the promise He ordained for a thousand generations —  ~ Psalm 105:7-8
OBSERVATION:
His judgements govern the whole earth... including (duh), me...
He remembers His covenant - His NEW covenant - through Jesus - forever...
...the promise He ordained for a thousand generations...
APPLICATION: (Verses 1 - 5)
Give thanks to the Lord,
Call on His name;
Proclaim His deeds among the peoples.
Sing to Him, sing praise to Him;
Tell about all His wondrous works!
Boast in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.
Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face always.
Remember the wondrous works He has done, His wonders, and the judgments He has pronounced...
PRAYER:
Wonderous Heavenly Father - I give thanks for Your grace as given in so many ways, but especially through Your Son Jesus Who allows for Your forgiveness of my sin... May I sing and tell about all You have done, are doing, and will do in my life, and continue to seek You and Your strength and Your face always... In Jesus's Name, Father, and for Your praise and glory...
Boasting in Him - for you...

Church notes - 29th October 2023
29th Psalm 27
Psalm 105 James 4:7 - 9 Matthew 11:28 - 30
Matthew 9:9 - 13 Matthew - the Gospel to the Jewish people. It is likely that Matthew knew Who was calling him.
Tax collectors
Extorted people for more money than they gave the authorities. More like the Mafia than any modern day tax agency.
Worked for Rome; the enemy.
We are accepted in Jesus, no matter what we have done.
Rose up. Matthew left behind his empty life.
Luke 15:15 Contrast Matthew 8:8 - 20 Did that man follow? or not? There is a cost to following Jesus.
Where is your comfort and security coming from?
Where our fears are is our baggage.
Fear is a powerful driver. But Jesus is not calling us to live a life of fear, but to wholly trust in Him.
vs 12 Reference: Hosea 6:6.

The Morning Devotional: WCF 23.3 (Part Two)
The Morning Devotional for August 10, 2023 The Westminster Confession of Faith 23.3 (Part Two) III. Civil magistrates may not assume to themselves the administration of the Word and sacraments; or the power of the keys of the kingdom of heaven; or, in the least, interfere in matters of faith. Yet, as nursing fathers, it is the duty of civil magistrates to protect the church of our common Lord,…

Psalm 119:105 (NLT). “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.”
Proverbs 6:23 (CEV). “The Law of the Lord is a lamp,and its teachings shine brightly. Correction and self-control will lead you through life.”
Psalm 32:8 (NIV). “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”
Isaiah 30:21 (ERV). “If you wander from the right path, either to the right or to the left, you will hear a voice behind you saying, “You should go this way. Here is the right way.”
We may wander from the path. We may not know where to go next, but God does, because He knows our future.
Friend, when you are uncertain of the next step, God and His Word will show you the next step in the right direction. Amen! 🙏🕊️🙌
