If I had more time and better focus, I’d write so much about PTADad Steve McGarrett. He’s be very active in his kid’s lives(because of how much Doris and John missed out on his and Mary’s lives. Because of their jobs, then one pretending to be dead, and then the emotional constipation of that trauma plus being a man of that time for John. I’m still so salty about them as parents apparently.)

Steve would volunteer for every chance to be a chaperone on field trips(sometimes they may try to keep it hidden from the McDanno household given what canon has proven Steve is like on his days off with the people he loves. BUT then they say screw it, if it’s gonna happen on a school trip with kids, we kinda want a Navy SEAL with his own task force nearby?????)

He’s call in favors from all the smartest people he knew to explain the new fucking methods of doing math now adays so he could help his kids when they’re struggling at the dinner table.(but if no one is availble and neither he nor Danny really know how to explain the new way and the old say isn’t accepted for whatever reason, he’ll a) request a parent teacher thing to explain. b) when report cards come, so long as he knows they tried their best he won’t be mad and they’d still go out to celebrate. They’re his and Danno’s kids, so of course he knows they tried!)

Bake sales. With his Navy discipline, his ability to cook, and Danno’s recipes...the stuff he makes for these things makes him a super star. Which of course ticks of the Queen Bee PTA Mother and Steve finds himself a rival at school. The bake sale afterwards he comes to find that his table wasn’t where he had signed up for and is a really terrible traffic spot. And he knows who is was.....and the whole team has to listen to him bitch about it for the next month.

I was asked to bring #chesterpepper to the PTA Children's Artistic Award ceremony and show a little puppeteer action to the kids. Because of this they have decided next year they will include puppeteering in the schools competition.
